    1. Rapped(verb) : To hit something sharply
    The teacher rapped her knuckles on the desk to get everyone's attention.
    2. Cognisance(Noun ): Awareness or knowledge of something.
    The judge took cognisance of the new evidence presented in the case.
    3. Relegate(Verb): To assign to a lower position or less important role; to demote.
    After the team's poor performance, they were relegated to the second division.
    4. Sycophant(Noun): A person who acts obsequiously towards someone important to gain advantage.
    The manager was surrounded by sycophants who constantly praised him to gain favor.
    5. Ostensible(Adjective): Stated or appearing to be true
    The ostensible reason for the meeting was to discuss the budget, but they spent most of the time on other topics.

    1. Rapped (v): To speak words in a constant manner in a song to give it additional meaning.
