Low Season. You should check out you tubers from 2018 and prior. Low Season resorts were 75% occupied. I only went from June, July, Aug, Seot and to Mid October, water is warmest then. beach, pools , every resort was open and busy. Some had more quests that others but they were open. I use to pay $ 600.00 CDN for a week, that's upgraded rooms, Diamond Club or VIP in other resorts. Currently, Low season is dead, loss of Canadian traveller's. Cuba received 80% in revenue from Canadian guests. I love going to Cuba for friends I met and beach. Food in the past was plenty and good! no more.😢😢
I just came back from Cayo Cruz and I had the time of my life. It was so quiet and peaceful. Gorgeous beaches, beautiful sun! I think Cuba will be my go to destination from now on. I went to the sanctuary white sands and loved it. The only down part was the mosquitoes. They were horrible. I got eaten alive. Ran out of mosquito repellent and could not find any on the island! It is the rainy season but no rain when i was there. Just mosquitoes. I absolutely loved the food and it didn’t feel like there was any shortages but sadly I am currently stomach sick after returning ( it’s been more than 7 days now). I still love Cuba. $849 Canadian dollars from ottawa to Cayo coco! Can’t beat that!
I always get a stomach bug just before returning home or when I get home. Yes, beaches are hands down the nicest I've ever seen, better than Bahamas, DR or MX. Been in Cuba over 30 times since 2009. Sad, that after pandemic they are still in Crisis. Canadiand brought 80% revenue, that is now reduced to almost 10%. My friend is a manager at Royalton, keeps me updated. Sad.
What? I have "never gone hungry" is the new Cuban resort standard and eating the same chicken sandwich every day is fine? I don't think of gin or whisky as exotic liquors. I am happy you had electricity / AC.
we paid 930.00 for 9 days at a 4 star in Dominican Republic Have travelled all over Caribbean and 35+ times to Cuba and married in Santiago De Cuba . We wont return after our last 2 trips 5 years ago . Harassed for everything we own and the shoes right off our feet . We tip well and always bring 2 extra luggage but they want more .
Then I being to Cuba again in July for 2 weeks at The One Gallery in got bored !! The main pool was under repare and they entartainment wasent that great I hardly danced on the beach at all like I did at other resorts😅
Having just returned from Cuba, I would say do not go to Cuba during the rainy season. Overall, its hot and humid as $ and the bugs will eat you alive. Off does nothing to detour these hungry sketters. The sunshine was amazing, but man when it rained, the mosquitoes come at you hard and hungry
Always enjoy your videos. You have a chill, laid back personality, which works well with your honest, transparent reviews. I’m curious to know what you thought of the Valentin vs your usual CSM haunt, the Sanctuary?
Thank you very much, Ted! Really appreciate the kind words. The only thing I missed was having access to essentially 2 resorts when you stay at Sanctuary. Otherwise, had a great time. That beach was beautiful.
I think is nice that not must bar party going on and loud music for older people like me 😅, but I am so glad that the beach is beautiful food hopefully is hot and free bugs 🪳 and thank you to you for all this detailed explanation awesome 😎 everywhere for travel people should know is alway have positive and negative vibes, just go and have fun with new mosquitoes 🦟 friends.
I am not into intimate connection with any other guest no thank you
Lol, fair enough

Yup, feel bad for Cubans due to lack of Canadian tourists these days

Agreed. You can't beat it at that price. The beaches are world class.
@@Busybeeee take vitamin b 12, a lot of people don’t know it helps repel mosquitoes

Ayeee VPB, you were quick with this one
You're right. I skipped a lot of previous footage to get this one out since it's timely.

I was in Cuba last October at Grand Sirenis we had a lot of food even if its always the same and if you are not picky you should be ok

Yup. Great outdoors mosquito spray worked great for me.
I’m heading to Cuba end of Oct. should I stay at a resort or casa particular? Is it easy to book tours?
Hard to say since I haven't stayed at a casa particular.
Had anyone visited The One Gallery Resort? How was it?
You're better off asking in any of the Cuba Facebook groups as there will be more people there.
Thank you.
Sure looks quiet but nice to get away and have some downtime from city living.
You're absolutely right.
Looks nice!! Which resort is this?
This one's Valentin Perla Blanca in CSM. Really is a nice resort!
@@ImagineThere Been looking at that one after watching the finding fish video.
At low tide the beach looks incredible!!
Oh yeah that beach is one of the best at a resort.

By the one the thing I hate the most is going to Cuba and have to listen to Miley Cyrus and Taylor swift instead if nice Cuban music cant stand it
