She's one of the best reactors out there for insight and authenticity but it seems like faked excitement, weird hand gestures and stale, clichéd buzzwords are what appeal to the average RUclips subscriber. We British kind of wince at the typical American reactor who appears to be brought to the brink of a mild heart attack far too readily. Personally, I'm reserved even for a Brit. On the outside it would be hard to tell if I had just won the lottery or had my car stolen. The result is that people don't tell or show me things - what would be the point since my personality dictates that we're not then going to share our glee/shock/incredulity/disgust? This lady is never going to lose her mind, start grabbing her head or start cursing or bawling; she knows that and I suspect it's because she knows, perhaps even subconsciously, that constitutes a negative on the résumé of a reactor that she offers more than others on the thought-provoking side.

Even if Angelina may have written this with a specific interpretation in mind, there is nothing wrong with entertaining other interpretations. Indeed it is a soulfull song with lyrics that invite that. What is an angel? Is it a messenger from God, another fellow human being? What is a shield, is it a physical shield or a conceptual shield, a counter measure towards all evil? Angelina's depth of thinking is well beyond her years, just as her skills as a singer and performer. Perhaps you could react to her other song "What is life" which I find to be a very deep and thoughtful attempt to find "the meaning of life". When I printed out the lyrics to make sure that I had heard them correctly I was disturbed. They seem to imply that she might have been abused and that she had been guilty of something. After hearing your interpretation I am somewhat reassured as the lyrics do seem to reflect the influence of the biblical story.
