I'm tired of people saying let's not mortgage the future away for a stud,you know we've been waiting for the future for a long time. This is the time let's get it done while we have the players.
THANK YOU. They have the team to win now. Best offense in the league and its not even close. You only get 3 years to be a real superbowl contender unless you have tom brady or patrick mahomes, why waste one of them?

@@leonardgonzales8215 there is no next man for hutchinson. He had 7.5 sacks, rest of the team has 6.5 combined. He had 17 QB hits, rest of the team has 24 combined.
Just about every core player is locked up no way would I sell the farm for a chance one year as long as we have those drafts picks the window is open for the next 4 to 5 years minimum

Everyone who keeps insisting that they go 'get' Crosby or Garret has to stop. Those teams have no intention of trading them. If those players went down and those teams contacted the Lions about Hutchinson, would you trade him? Enough already. Thats not happening.
All players are available, just a matter of compensation.
If you don’t think Holmes is working every possibility you have not been paying attention. Broken bones of set properly can heal and be stronger than before BUT that takes time. Not 4-6 months.
Hate what happened to Hutch and we wish a healthy recovery,but at the same time guys on the DL GOTTA STEP UP and play like Hutch would GO GET IT LIONS.
That's easy to say but they've needed an edge before Hutch even got injured and nobody stepped up. So how on God's green earth will they step up now that he's injured?

The Raiders and the Browns aren't going to give their best players away for nothing and now that they know that the Lions need them, the price will be twice as high. Someone said two first rounders would get Crosby but thats ridiculous. It would take more than that for either one.
NOW😮 is the time for a move. Your window of success is so small. Give up 1st rounder next 2 years if you must...plus couple guys seller needs. May not be this talented or close for a long time!
@@duartecabral55 Their Superbowl window is now they should at least try to get a major edge because as much as I love the Lions I don't see them winning without one. They need someone who can get pressure and no amount of coaching or inspirational speeches will give you what someone doesn't have and they don't have enough for consistent pressure. Yes there will be moments where they get pressure but it won't be consistent and in the end it will be our downfall if we don't make a major move.

Yeah, they're not getting Garret. Why would the Browns trade their best player in his prime! You build around players like that, not trade them.
The only possibility of those names is Hendrickson but the problem is he will cost us 4 draft picks and a player so it ain't happening. Holmes is going to continue to do what he did today signing low cost bodies to fill the depth void until we have our full crew back. The Lions can still win the SB, if all of us who've been claiming the Lions have a legitimate SB roster are correct. then we don't need to make a desperate trade and over pay for a big name or even a mid level name. Holmes isn't going to panic like everybody in Detroit Sports Media is.

He’s crazy we’ve took a big step back. We’re fighting for the nfc north now not the superbowl. With us being short at defensive end, that makes other players work too bunch because of the weakness at defensive end in which can cause more injuries. The offense might have to over work because the defense is more weak in which could hurt them also
Marcus Davenport only plays about 3 games with every team he is on and then goes on injury time. did it at the end for the Sains, did it to the Vikings and now did it to the Lions.
If you can get a end that is super good for three years that might make sense

We need to strike while the iron is hot and make a move for Miles Garrett Now! You can never go wrong by bringing on a player of his caliber. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
They wouldn't just be mortgaging the near future, either. They would be giving away at least, two number ones. This team was built through the draft. Why would you want them to give away the most important thing that went into building a winner? Crosby and Garret just aren't available. It would take much more than just two low number ones to get them. Put yourself in their shoes. If Crosby went down and the Raiders contacted the Lions about Hutchinson, how much would you take to trade him away? It isn't going to happen, no matter how many fans want it.
It's crazy cause I guarantee if stick wasn't on this show and was on the other he would be talking down to the average person for wanting to go out and get somebody to replace hutch he would be like them next men up people!

@@duartecabral55 I never said they'd be bad they definitely would still be a playoff team but they wouldn't win the Superbowl because you have to get pressure to win and no amount of sexy pieces can make up for a weak defensive line. You win games with the offensive and defensive lines and right now their defensive line is not enough to win a Superbowl imo.

As far as giving up draft picks do it. If this team gets as far as we all want them to as fans then they will be picking at the end of each round. Crosby fairly young proven talent that could benefit this team right now and even more once they get everyone healthy for 2025 and beyond

So my thing is this: yes we got guys but pass rush is a rotation and WE HAVE THE CAP SPACE THIS YEAR and all our draft picks going forward. And if you pick up a 20 million player for 1/2 season it only costs you 10 million. And you get the playoffs for your 10. If cincy loses a couple more hendrixson might be avaiable. If we’ve learned nothing else about Brad Holmes, he’s not going to mortgage the Lions future by giving up multiple high draft picks for one player. He’s done it his way without doing that, and look where the lions are.

They actually use their practice squad like they're the actual vet squad. It was noted several times that we had to cut many good players, which is a good problem to have. Hutch is irreplaceable, but the guys who need to step up are no slouches.

Lions fans are unusually preoccupied with sacks, linemen, pass rushers. They don’t even look at their own history and see they had any number of quality rushers and linemen over the years and won next to nothing for 3 quarters of a century.
