Kostas Tsili Unfortunately we won’t come back because of politics 😞 I hope they won’t do politic and we come back actually if there is no turkey it won’t be that fun and good
That's exactly why I miss Turkey so much at the ESC Turkey has very often very good rock music incorporated into the competition I miss this time. Even if I do not understand a word Turkish I really loved these posts.

this is my favourite eurovision song of all time, it's so groundbreaking and still sounds so modern. the fact it got 7th and only got a single 12 from azerbaijan still baffles me. both them and maNga make me proud to be part turkish, not gonna lie.
Actually Mor ve Ötesi have deep messages in their songs. Most of the fans of this band says this song have a political message about EU dont let Turkey be a part of them. (This explains the lead singers expression.) About the background, the videoclip of this song starts with band members enter to a room fulled with fancy statues, they start to sing, in the end they become one of statues and a new, young band enters the room. I think that statues are old artist, they became statues when theyre forgetten but new artist come and find inspiration from them and never let them be forgetten. I realized my English is really awful, i hope you understand what i try to say.
Gayet güzel bi ingilizcen var, alçak gönüllülüğünden ötürü seni takdir ettim. Ayrıca epey de iyi açıklamışsın. Niye yazdım ben de bilmiyorum. Have a nice dayy!!
Tbh, when ESC journalists said that rock has never been a popular genre at Eurovision, they might’ve forgot about Turkey and the successes they had with the rock genre. So it’s not really that rock has never done too well at Eurovision, we don’t see a lot of songs that are rock.
The song is dedicated to Europe. Raise me, don’t make me cry Where’s the love you’re proud of? Raise me, don’t make me cry Don’t waste my time with fake dreams That's what they're saying to Europe. Loves from Turkey 💕 🇹🇷
I like it very much. i love that sings in their own language and that mix of rock and traditional in his singing (some phrases). I am a child of rock music, grew up to the sound of guitar and I always look forward to these songs. In general, 2008 was an excellent ESC year, there were lots of great songs. And today I like to listen entry from Portugal and Israel (not rock songs but are phenomenal)...
Yes 2010 they came second with a rock song with some rap and you have reacted to it. This and France whose song Divine by Sebastian Tellier become fourth in Swedish singles charts are my faves that year. The French song is not for everyone though but yeah. :) How ever this song is amazing, great vocals, great crafted alternativ rock, loved that they sing it in Turkish. The title Deli means Insane.
Jasmine Karam Oh yes! The studio version of Divine is great. The stage performance was... very... special... 😎😎😎🏌and Jake definitely needs to react to it!
Deli means crazy in Turkish, and the song is about love, passion, and insanity...maybe it has to do with that, maybe these are the characters of some surreal horrors. Btw, Turkish rock bands are really very cool, there are many bands a lot better!
You are very close to the truth - these are fictional Turkish characters, quite creepy ones. In the video, they enter the hall with huge statues of those, and towards the end of their song, they themselves become crazy statues waiting for the newcomers to enter the hall.
@@kiraandriets5914 I'd like to recommend maNga, Duman, Adamlar, Son Feci Bisiklet, Teoman, Şebnem Ferah. All different types of rock bands and performers :)
This song and this band is really protest, i love their songs, concert performances. and their eurovision song is protest too. in the song "Deli", they satirize EU and when they sing the song their every movement (i think even vocalist's glance too :D) refer to this :) and they satirize it such as with these words: "everyone is clever and am i the only insane?". by the way, these are not just my thoughts, every Turkish people think like this way about this song. so, Deli reflects real art i think and it is difficult to understand for foreign people unfortunately because of Turkish words... i hope i explain what i mean exactly because my english is not that good :) thanks a lot for react for Deli!

Erdogan was supported by eu and usa. Now they are against him because of their own interest. Real Turks will follow Ataturk's way but you should get rid of media.

This one is really good! Fantastic singer. Amazing jumping guitarist at 3:33 A 2008 instant request : Bosnia 2008. Either you would love it or hate it, but won't leave you indifferent. It would be very interesting to know your opinion.
Murat Gögebakan is in my opinion the best rock singer he have the best entry’s. If you read about his life your tears are gonna come it’s so heartbreaking.
This is my second favourite entry from 2008 - honestly a very weak year in my opinion. My favourite that year was Albania. I'd love to see you react to it - the girl singing was only 16 at the time
A slightly different song, but as a dane i've always enjoyed the danish entry for 2001 - it'd be fun for you to react to it, it's pretty cheesy but it got 2nd place that year Rollo and king, never ever let you go
If I remember correctly the figures in the back were from the music video of this song. If not, that year the theme was on food, like country flags were represented with food pieces. Like red apple slices on kebabs made up the turkish flag. It might've had something to do with it. But I think it was the music video.

Daniel Talavera Well, remember Raphael in 1966 and 1967, he is the best male voice from Spain. But of course, in recent times, Sergio Dalma is our best male representation in the contest.
I've come to the conclusion that gregorian calendar years and Eurovision years are separate things because I can believe 2008 was 10 years ago but I can't believe many recent editions were x months or year/s ago. I just can't. Eurovision is a lifestyle.

My favorite Turkish entry ever. I can even sing along to the chorus, even though I have no idea what they are talking about.
It's talking about the look of Western nations on Türks. Just like the images on the background.
They talked about The persecution of Europe. Did u see? He sings with sarcastic looks.

he is talking about how the eu countries are racist to turkey :d
👍
Such an interesting and unusual atmosphere in the song. Sounds unique even 10 years after.
Petar Mihajlović Yes! A decade on and it still sounds current. That's impressive.
