Miss Tennessee should have one. her gown was out of ordinary and she carried it so beautifully. She should have made a cut in Miss Universe if she had won miss USA.
I honestly thought Miss Tennessee was in it to win it! She had everything. The beauty, class, poise and was very relaxed and articulate. Anyway, its still a competition and its anybody's game to win at this point.

Until I watched this video, I didn't know the 1999 edition of Miss USA was one of the least diverse batches in the history of the pageant. I couldn't recall a single African American or an Asian after watching the introduction of candidates. All of them were White and Hispanic.

CA was truly sad when she placed third overall but would later re-emerge as Miss World USA 2000 and even made the semis at MW 2000.

1999 wasn't the year for Miss USA in Miss Universe. Miss U '99 were looking for exotic, island beauties.
How did NY win? Her performance at the MU was a complete flop. Tennessee would have placed in the top 3 standing neck and neck with Botswana.

The Grand Palace is just an abandoned theater in Branson now. I was there once, beautiful venue, awful seating.
