I stumbled upon your video today and I loved it! I recently bought an Amplify quarterly planner and it has daily, weekly, and monthly layouts. I’ve been struggling with how to use a weekly in conjunction with a daily, but your video had such good ideas! I especially loved your point about the weekly is just an overview, where the daily is the nitty gritty of your day. Thanks for a great video!
I'm currently using a monthly and daily planner. I'm really loving having a fresh page everyday! I'm with you I don't need a full page for sat/sun. One shared page for the weekend works for me :) Thanks for sharing your system.
This was inspiring! I’ve been trying to figure out how to revamp my planning system. I’ve been using my google calendar and daily planner, but I’ve realized that I really need a weekly overview on paper to help plan my days better. Love how your style is both decorative and functional!
Just found this video - good one. I also use a daily and weekly - both plum paper planners - it's really tightened up my days and made them more productive. Also added another plum paper daily as my wellness planner - love how you can chose headers - so flexible. Your pages inspire me so much - as they add a cheerfulness mine don't have ---- but my days are jammed and it's full on functional with just some mildliner and zig dots. I aspire though, lol!
Love this! It has made me so much more productive too. I honestly tend to keep it mildliner and pen in my plum paper.. if I try stickers I always come back to simple! ❤️
You have the best initials ;) I have a hard time distinguishing between focus and top priorities for myself. I'd love if you dove deeper into that sometime. My favorite part about using a daily and a weekly together is that I can separate them out. So I use my daily pretty much exactly the same way you do, some stickers sometimes, mostly pen. But I'm trying to use my weekly as a wellness/self care planner to help me keep track of healthy, skincare, hobbies, healthy habits, etc. That's the one where I use all the pretty stickers and stuff.
Love how you use your weekly! So for me my top priorities are going to be the top 4 things I NEED to do that day. My focus or reminder can be anything from saying "hey dont forget its trash day" or my day off or that I want to focus on things like reading a chapter in a book, resting, self care, etc. Also yes to the BEST initials 🤪❤️
I’ve always wonder how people do it. I only have one planner but I like how you explain it. I was thinking about getting another one but I don’t need it 😬
I ❤ my EC horizontal Platinum coiled LifePlanner. I only need one planner which works for me. I think I will go vertical next year to do something different!
I was thinking of a monthly and weekly but thought to have them the opposite sizes: Big weekly and small daily. But that would mean I did a lot of repetitive writing. This makes a lot of sense. Also it's easier to pop the weekly in a bag if you are out and about. It seems like that's always when I need to book an appointment or something and don't know if I'll have a conflict.
I do love a good hourly! I've almost been tempted to hop back into my hourly sitting on my shelf (it runs to dec 22). You have really found your sweet spot with the bullet journaling tho! Love your setups!
Ohhhh wow Im currently using the Plum Paper daily because I don't have much of a schedule this year (mat leave) so I didn't love the schedule part of the page in the EC. But I do LOVE how you use yours ♥️♥️
So I love the separate Daily and Weekly! You mentioned not carrying your weekly. Do you carry a paper planner to jot down appointments made or to do that need added? Or use your phone? I have been carrying a weekly but they are so heavy!
I’m late to finding this, but I love this video! I struggle with the daily and weekly planner balance, and this was very helpful. So, you work out of your daily and your weekly is really more of a reference, is that correct? If you carry one with you, would that be the daily planner?
I use this same system! I thought i was crazy for wanting two planners but its working so why break it? My struggle was syncing calendars. I was trying to get away with doing two monthly layouts and syncing them all. do you take time to update both of them or just one? I was thinking of using the monthly layout in my daily planner as my habit tracker and weekly planner as my overall calendar. Otherwise, i'd be carrying a petite monthly planner to sync everything and I don't know if i can write that small. I use the EC vertical weekly layout; I use the three boxes to separate the three areas of my life (usually family/home, work, and myself). Then i use the daily to visualize my day. I try to use the "to-do" side of my daily planner to track tasks i had to forward over or as a mental inbox. All my other tasks should be scheduled in when i have a hasty planning session of all my brain dump items (hard to do! I always have alot on my mind and i limit myself to 30 minutes to plan it out. If i don't do it this way i'd sit in front of my planner for hours). I also use the snap ins to track my life rhythm in each area so when i go to plan i just take out the "to-do" snap ins and fill in the blanks (I have four so I found a purpose for them). I've never seen plum paper before but i see the appeal. I like the minimum look--it makes your planner look more functional. I'm very interested to see how you sync the information in both planners. Thanks for posting!
This is such a great system! Thank you for sharing how you use it. I was prev using the A5 monthly but found its too small for my needs so now I just use my monthly in the 7x9 and I dont utilize my plum paper weekly. I dont feel the need for more then one monthly at this time 🤗

I noticed that your tabs and monthly view in your daily duo are the Just My Type Colorful, but I don't see that as an option on EC or Amazon... did you switch them out? I love the colors of them just like you have said before too! 😍
How did you get an EC Daily Duo with Just My Type interior design? I have Mid Century Circles, and both it and the Flora have designs in the monthly view that extend all the way to the edge of the paper. I can't understand why they did that, knowing how many of use sticker kits and now have to white out all of that...Anyhow, seems like that wouldn't be an issue with the just my type layout. Thanks!
I had an 18 month Just My Type ECLP Hourly that was sitting on a shelf and I just switched out the monthlies to get those tabs 😋 I agree! I wish the design wouldnt go all the way to the edge!
I dont! I love the add on section with PlannerKate (I typically know what I use and wont use) and tend to buy the add on washi and boxes - cheaper then a kit too! With Krissyanne Designs I tend to buy the daily duo kits, daily headers and some word stickers like work, priority, brain dump etc 🤗
@@KatieKPlans thanks! I will definitely have to start looking at what I use and how I can change it up. I love kits but I also realize I miss the creativity sometimes when I do a no kit week in my daily. My weekly I prefer the structure of a kit! 🤷🏻♀️

Ooohh thats a good combo too! I was hoping someone out there could relate with me and the sat/sun on one page 🤪 thanks for watching!
@@KatieKPlansI totally agree, I don’t have appointments on weekends and don’t want pressure to overthink weekend day planning.

Prior to 2017/2018 I was just a one planner girl. Im like "Why would need 2??" Lol and now I ate my words and KNOW why I need it 🥰

Yes! That is a great idea! Alot of people think youre just writing the same thing over and over but youre not 🤷🏻♀️❤️
Thank you for sharing your system. I’ve found my system (regardless of planner company) is a weekly hourly and a bullet journal style daily task list!

I've been carrying my daily with me because its only 6 months. Otherwise Ill jot it down on my phone or a post-it and transfer it later on ❤️

Hi, where did you get the EC planner from on Amazon? I can't find the one you have
Thanks x
This is an old daily duo! Erin Condren actually just launched their new 23-24 daily duo 😍
@katiekplans thanks for coming back to me. I've just ordered the daily duo 7 x 9 in the canvas. Love it!. I feel like I need a week one too though 😀

screw kits, they are so limiting. you can do so much more with a printer and printer paper..

Hmm, no ‘to do’s’ on the weekly… I need a place to brain dump. Is that better to do in the daily planner somewhere? You’ve got me thinking….thank you!
I always threw those on my daily! ☺️
Why didn’t you get the daily duo in A5? I also use the same monthly plum paper and daily duo.
I am not a fan of the monthly layout in the a5 size and I like all the room I have in my 7x9 ❤️
