Hey man, Id love to get my hands on that poultry netting that your using but it looks like your affiliate amazon link doesn't work. Loving your content, found you about a month ago and have watched every episode since and just cant stop binge watching previous content of yours, thank you so much for all your informative content!
My chickens always have very orange yolks even when i lock them up for winter and they are not able to forage, only thing they get in winter months is dumor 16% from tractor supply
Hi, just came across your channel - love it! I just wanted to ask re your chicken netting - do you have any issues with the chickens going over the netting and not being able to get back in? I am looking to make a mobile set-up like yours. I currently have a fixed coop, and often my girls fly over the 4ft fence and can't get back
How do you keep their calcium up my sow on her first litter ran out of milk and got mastitis id like to prevent that this time around because i can see the next litter is going to be huge shes due in late may and i can see shes getting big the vet did tell me it was because it was her first litter but id prefer being cautious than paying a huge vet bill
What’s the plan for all the piglets you’ll farrow this year? Raising them? Or selling piglets? I have a small operation, and would be interested in piglets to expand my farm. If you’re interested
We will keep a few for feeders, a few for breeding and sell the rest. If you'd like to be on the piglet list, send me your contact info. chuck@sheratonparkfarms.com
@@SheratonParkFarms we literally have hawks nesting on three sides of our pasture. We even had an owl break in to our coop during the day. Predation has taken a heavy toll on my flocks.
Yes. I plan on selling most of them actually if we get litters from the gilts/sows. If you want on the list, shoot me your email and phone to chuck@sheratonparkfarms.com
Joel Salatin says never move the egg mobile while the chickens are out. They get confused and have a homing instinct - even 50’ and they can’t find where to go. Move the egg mobile first then open it. They’ll find their way back much more easily.
I see people doing this all the time but why wouldn’t you just lock the bird up in the evening when they go to roost and set up the new fence and move them then. Then when they wake up they are just in their new place....
I have the premieronen permanet i use for goats, never again will i pay that kind of money for any of their fencing had it a year and the wires are breaking on it. Last longer and be easier with a double wire fence. Never tried their chicken net i always just let my chickens roam where ever they want.
Goats are the toughest on any containment. With double wire, they’ll escape. Main reason I’m not getting goats. The only thing they absolutely will respect is water. They’re scared to death no matter how shallow.

You need a hook on the chicken door that attaches to the ramp so that the door does not swing and get damaged in the wind. Great looking coop !
Thanks. Yes I need to fasten it open for sure.
@@SheratonParkFarms Super exciting to get such a nice litter of little pigs. Let's hope for such good luck on the others as well.

They usually can find their way back in. Occasionally we’ll have to catch one and toss it back across but it’s not a big deal.
"He may need to go be with Jesus" that cracked me up, have had the same issue in the past. No mean roosters here either!

Feed them oyster shell or dried and coarsely broken up eggshells.

It would be easier if you moved it while they were still in the egg mobile since they’re young hens!
Just a question chuck, if she has 12 teets will you need to hand feed 1 of the piglets at some stage ???
Do you have issues with hawks getting your chickens?
Yes. We have had issues with that in the past. More so on a free range system without the netting.
How many eggs per day do y’all typically get?
Right now I’m at about 2 dozen. These are all juvenile chickens so it’s just now time for them to start laying.
@@SheratonParkFarms Thanks!
How do you protect the flock from hawks?
They have cover under the Eggmobile but we do have Hawk issues from time to time.

why arent the pigs in shelter? not my business I am just wondering i never seen that before them just out in the open like that.
In the South, pigs need protection from the sun. Trees work fine.
