I visited an animal sanctuary last weekend (hopefield in Brentwood) and cows are so friendly they were letting all the kids stroke and pet them and they were so gentle, it's so heartbreaking what happens to ALL these animals. I can't get over how young some of the workers looked, it's bordering on child exploitation and I'd expect nothing less from such a vile industry. Vegan for them
Just remember that no one forces anyone to work at a slaughterhouse. Even prisoners on work release can choose to go back to prison rather than do it. None of these places would be open IF EVERYONE REFUSED TO WORK THERE.

@mhl8396 Domesticated farm animals are social and friendly. Humans have tricked them into trusting us. They feel empathy, possess the intelligence of 2-4 year old human children, seek out pleasure and avoid pain. They aren't exactly like us, but they are like us enough that we shouldn't cause them to suffer if we can help it. If you really can't empathize with animals (most people can to some extent) then that's really a reflection on you having a lower-than-normal ability to feel empathy, not a reflection on whether or not the animals themselves are sentient beings who suffer greatly at the hands of humans.
One of the reasons I went vegan is because I saw a cute cow video where he or she went to the door wanting their dog friend to come outside and play. I thought how could I eat one and not the other when they both have personalities and should be loved and cared for?

What an horrific and disturbing sight. Seeing all those dead bodies piled up having been slaughtered after much suffering. Yes, these individuals receive money, but that's because they are contributing to something that benefits society as a whole. Do you expect them to do all of this for free? I don't understand.

In the US, as an example meat and dairy industries receive 64% of government food funding. Fruit and vegetable industries receive less than 1%. Many countries (not just the US) spend tens or hundreds of billions of dollars every year subsidizing the type of industry you see on the screen above

@@ASDvegatheist I know vegans believe they can be healthy but it’s just not reality, there is so many essential nutrients you can’t find in plants or let alone absorb really any of them, humans evolved eating animals as it is essential for our development and survival. You might be able to get away with eating plants for a while but I can promise you it will catch up to you sooner or later. Going against nature will never work out. Instead we should focus on raising animals in a natural environment rather than everyone becoming vegan which will end up destroying the human population through malnutrition as well as the planet through agriculture.

There are people who were literally gestated as vegans, born vegan, and are still vegan today as adults. One is a female bodybuilder. Not all protein is equal and not all 10 essential proteins can be sourced from plants, this is why vegans supplement!
The only thing most vegans take as a supplement is B12. One tablet a day versus contributing to all this cruelty is an easy decision.
