Fact check: Animal production does NOT have higher emissions than the transport sector. Not even close. I would expect Carte Blanche to be more responsible with claims.
@gordonhopkins4658 no it doesn't. The only way it could be higher would be if you factored the transport associated emissions from animal production into the animal production side, and took it away from the transport sector. But you can't, because we're comparing animal emissions to the transport sector emissions.
South Africa has more burning issues than protein, it like how the whole world wants to go green when certain countries have polluted it... this lad needs to just use this concept somewhere else..
The problem is not the food, it's the way it's produced. This is not only for protein, but also extends (even more so than protein) to monocrop farming. So the solution is not manufacturing fake protein. The solution lies in supporting local farmers who farm the right way. We don't need more industrial solutions to an industrial problem.
it is impossible to farm "the right way" with our ever increasing numbers and appetite for animal products. there is no sustainable way to feed us all, because we eat for pleasure and not for sustenance.
The biggest problem with lab grown food is that it literally just recycles nutrients. Cattle and pigs can upcycle nutrients, turning non edible nutrients into food for humans. No lab can do that. By all means, have options for food, but don't discount how vital animals are for our food security - and if farmed "correctly" they can also help "heal" the planet.
Can I please have a sample for tasting? Am eager to try and test the difference! Also eager to do a little bit to save the planet. I hope the product will be cheaper than chicken egg cos sjo, that price is rocketing like the price of gold. Very nice video, I hope lots of people become aware that alternatives can be an option.
Texas "Barbeque" and South African "Braai" are two completely different things, no matter what anyone says. Also keep them temu eggs away from here. We eat REAL stuff.

Save animals for what exactly? Why not save people?
why not both? animals are sentient creatures who have the capability of suffering. why does it have to be the one or the other?

This is true, let the chickens move and eat and enjoy the sun
limit the number of children per family, this will help the population incline that we see today. .
