There is a wonderful 90 minute documentary about the making of this film that is included with the Criterion Blu-ray box set that is just outstanding for any who are interested in a behind the scenes look at the production. Also,my first forray into Rohmer was quite by accident when scrolling through the films on Max and happened upon A Winter Tale and immediately fell in love with it and then this one followed by the other two Season films and The Six Moral Tales and Stories from Paris. A remarkable filmmaker to say the least.

I agree, he has such an interesting body of work that has constantly surprised me. It's been a real delight making my way through his filmography.
