9:30 awwww! So that’s how Coral and Marlin met for the first time. Love at first sight! I wish Disney should’ve put Marlin’s backstory in the film to make this much more interesting. This movie gave me so much trauma when I was 4. I decided to overcome my fear by watching it alone when I was 12 years old. However, if some of the deleted scenes were in the movie then I would have been traumatized for life. Now that I'm 19, this movie holds a special place in my heart. And now that I'm into horror, some scenes don't scare me as they used to, even though I cringe at some parts and the characters that I was scared of were pretty funny to me, (except the barracuda). If they were to make a “Finding Marlin”, I would be interested in seeing some of the deleted scenes being put in the movie such as the flashbacks of how marlin met coral, similar to Dory’s flashbacks with her parents, and have the tank gang return to help Nemo this time rescue his dad, and also taking a dive (no pun intended), into Gill’s psychological issue of being stuck in a tank with no family and how he got his scar. And have the characters from the first movie collaborate with the characters from the second film, along with the introduction of new characters helping Nemo and Dory find Marlin. Maybe Marlin could be taken to a sushi restaurant or a seafood place similar to how Sebastian was when he was in Chef Louis's kitchen in the little mermaid. And have the chef be the main antagonist and try to kill Marlin for food and have the gang help, Marlin escape and return to the ocean. And, if possible, maybe a new love interest for Marlin, (not trying to replace Coral, but Marlin needed someone to be there for him and his son, and Nemo always wanted to have a mother, I don't know it's just a predicament). And the film could take place in the Mediterranean sea, just how the first film took place near Australia and the second film took place in California. Again, this is just a predicament. Even though Finding Nemo traumatized me and gave me nightmares as a 4-year-old child, it does have a very positive message about a father loving his son and the importance of family, and the characters are very cute and friendly, and the moral was taught very well as well as not talking down to the audience. That being said, this movie will hold a special place in my heart. ❤️👍

I was scared of the anglerfish, the scene where Marlin and Dory were alone in the ocean talking to the whale, the whale’s tongue, pretty much this whole film was already a horror, dark film even if Pixar cut deleted, dark scenes
The original coral scene was certainly more powerful. Marlin knowing his kids and Coral were killed is bad enough, but actually being awake to witness it…

Imagine how many fish were killed in real life because they were flushed down the drain by kids who saw this movie and tried to release their fish. It would've made sense to see the sewage scene to know how Nemo made it back to the ocean and got past the grinding equipment unscathed. Granted, the scene of Nemo jamming the filter in the tank would've been a foreshadowing.
The climax ABSOLUTELY could have stood to keep the flashback. It adds something to the climax that add even more stakes and emotion that make it SO much stronger as a climactic moment
Its from a longer BTS video about the director's idea for flashbacks in the movie. Its really interesting to listen to him talk about the process for cutting the backstory down though!
15:08 - 15:33 this feels like they wanted Nemo to die at the end and think that’s what this shows because it ends with marlin saying “I did everything I could.” While looking at his body.
The one with Marlin telling Nemo the story and how Nemo vaguely remembers Coral was quite touching (as well as the “ocean took her away”) I wish they used it. It would’ve confirmed that Nemo had at least some recollection of his mother. Same with the other when Marlin’s paranoia gets to him and he keeps checking on the outside, it’s tense but you really feel for him in that one. It would’ve worked more though if they put that after Coral’s death

The Tank Gang deleted scene explains everything to me about Gill's psychological issues. I hate Gill's dishonesty. He tells Nemo a lie of his brothers and sisters living together with him, but he has no family and unloved being stuck in the fish tank lots of scars on him. Gill is the worst character ever and he's the main antagonist of Finding Nemo. 😮💨
I really like this version of the movie where marlin’s story is told through flashbacks throughout the movie. Putting all the pieces together throughout the movie.
Imagine a third movie finding Marlin where Marlin was captured and brought to a fish hospital where the barracuda is healed by nice humans. Marlin falls into a coma or he would start a trip because he thinks that Cora could also be alive
It's funny that this idea was supposed to be implemented in Finding Nemo 2, where the marlin was kidnapped and brought to an aquarium in Mexico 🇲🇽 and it also turned out that Nemo has a brother who survived after being attacked by a barracuda.
The flashback deleted remind me of Cobra Kai season 3. In the last episode of Cobra Kai season 3, there is a climax where we see Kreese fighting against Johny and the scene is constantly cut with flashbacks where we saw younger Kreese fighting his captain. I don’t know why but the first time I watch the episode, it reminds me of that deleted scene.
I think the Gill lying scene could have worked if they'd made it like..him initially thinking he needs to lie to Nemo (maybe after he first tries to disable the pump and is nearly sucked into it and gets really scared).
