Now this is a song that is very near and dear to my heart. My mom used to sing this to me when I was little whenever I was down and out. I promised myself I would post this cover when I got back to RUclips and I think this song is still very fitting given how life has changed lately. Whether you've been dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic, showing your support for the BLM movement and fighting against police brutality, or just have hit a rough patch in life and been trying to get through it day by day - this one's for you. I hope that this song helps you feel the love and comfort behind it as it has always done for me.
Also, people have been wondering where I've been all this time to begin with too. In the past four years I've been gone, I graduated college, got a full-time job, got my own apartment and now am at a point where I feel I finally have time again to dedicate back to this channel. When I was in college, I pursued a degree in engineering while balancing my commitments with clubs, internships, and work - so what little time I had leftover was whatever I could manage for making covers. The last thing I wanted was to be stressed out over keeping this channel up and then in turn hating something that was always fun and creative for me. I also wanted to keep improving and making sure I always put my best foot forward for these videos and that meant time - which I didn't have. I also later shared places living with friends, so it wasn't really the best idea to have my housemates suffer through my singing and be inconsiderate towards their right to a comfortable and quiet place to come home to as well. So that in a nutshell is why I've been gone - but what's important now is that I'm happy to be back and ready to sing! I appreciate the messages and comments some of you have sent over the years checking up on me and wanting me to come back - so if you'll have me, I hope you'll stick around. ^.^
