They are very frost tolerant, you can transplant them 4-6 weeks before your last frost date. If your did not grow big, try adding nitrogen fertilizer like she said in the video, it's the nitrogen that'll make them grow big.
Thank you for the very clear information on leek growing. The information on what leeks to grow and when is just the helpful information I have been looking for. Hopefully this year I will have better luck with my planting!
Thanks for the great video and detailed info on both spring and winter leeks. I've only grown winter leeks (which young rabbits who got thru the garden fence actually ate this past winter), but am going for more this spring. This is helpful!
Your Weimie is beautiful! I had one for 14 years and then fostered for a few years.
Thank you for this video!
I love leek soup! but I haven't been successful with growing leeks. I try in the fall and I must be growing the wrong type.
I love it as well. Especially in the cold of winter. It very well could be the variety you were growing.
Mine did not grow very big. I was wondering how early I can plant them. Can the seedlings stand frost? Thank you.

Please how long it take for leek to grow
Seed packet will say, typically between 75 and 120 days
Excellent video, your calm way of speaking makes learning a pleasure, very good channel… will be back often
Where is your large potting soil scoop from?
Just our local farm store.

Darn those rabbits right!? I haven't had a rabbit problem in years. They can really be a pest. Good luck with your spring leek planting. 😊
Great video! Thanx. I'm growing leeks for the first time. Starting from seed, so far so good. 😊
Thanks! I love leeks! Especially home grown. 😉
Again…this was great! I will be referring back as mine grow!
Thank you again as well! ☺️
Nice!
Thanks!
