I know this is old post but any chance to review ellen and yoyoka playing together again in a group which include an amazing 14nyr old guitarist Charolette Millstein, her 16 yr old sister as backup volcals, a 13 yr old on vocals who s does extremely well and a 9 yr old Bay on guitar who holds his own very well? kids rock for kids. band is muse. song is hysteria. cover. kids rock for kids has a yt channel. song is ellens and yoyokas pages as well.
Ellen is 10y.o. She has only been playing bass for just under 3 years. Rob Yule and I saw her at YOYOKA's performance at the Japanese Spring Festival in Las Vegas on Saturday. Rob said she was a lot smaller than expected...LOL Her father (Hovak), and YOYOKA's father (Aki) have both raised their kids in almost the same way. Both let the girls pick their own songs, play what they like and never have to ask them to practice. They do it for the love of music and their respective instruments. Take your daughter to a store like Guitar Center, where they let you play around with all the different instruments. If she plays any instrument, she will only become good if she plays what she loves. It can't be forced. YOYOKA still goes to Guitar Center every time she visits any city.
@@lifewithsuzzyq2039 Maybe have her watch some You Tube videos. That's how YOYOKA learned. She finds songs that SHE LIKES on Spotify, then watches a video on You Tube, at least that's how she used to do it. Her parents always let her pick her own music. Of course she has to study the basics first.

Well we have a piano 🎹 and she’s been messing around the piano. She told me the other day she wants to play.
