Hey man, thanks for watching. My build list is listed below. By no means do you need to do it all but some of these mods I really do like. Upper: Wheaton Arms Barrel Dawson Sights Tungsten Extended Guide Rod 11lb Recoil Spring Skeletolized striker Zev striker and plunger spring Lower: HYVE mag release TTI connector Zev Triger return spring OCC Trigger and extractor housing Brass insert Undercut trigger guard grip tape
Amazing runs sir! I'm using the exact same equipment, how do you manage to have that kind of very little recoil especially with your double taps? Thanks
Thanks man. A lot of it comes down to grip. Try to get as high up on the pistol with your strong hand and pinch in as much as you can with your support hand. The higher you can get / closer to the bore axis the gun will track flatter in your hand.
In production you are limited to 10 rounds per mag. Keep in mind that in limited division there are major and minor power factor scoring. Where as in production everything is scored as minor. Typically you are at a considerable disadvantage shooting minor power factor in limited.
Good job sir I have one question I go to star to compete in uspsa production Glock 34 5 gen is a good pistol? How is the recoil and I saw your pistol in action but do you have modification may be can I make modification for a low recoil is all I need thanks
Thanks. . The gen 5 glock 34 is a great pistol. The recoil is manageable with it only being a 9mm. I do have some modifications on this gun. I use a 13lb recoil spring on a tungsten guide rod. I also have Dawson sights, some aftermarket trigger parts and a HYVE extended mag release. If you're just getting started, the best thing to spend your cash on are some sights, ammunition, and match fees. Get out and shoot, have a great time. The rest of the parts can come later.

Joshua David there are a lot of internal mods you can do and remain legal. The external mods used to be super strict, they have expanded in the last year. I forgot to add to the parts list that I do have a brass insert too. The gun makes weight by about .5 oz.
It’s modified but mostly internal following the USPSA rules. I have an aftermarket mag release and sights that you can see. Also the guide rod. I like the G34 over the G17 for the longer sight radius and slightly longer barrel. It’s a marginal difference but it’s what most prefer.
chgofirefighter it’s kinda a yes and no answer. I use OCC triggers which are the same as factory but have “enhanced” trigger pads and are polished. Some of them allow you to take pre and post travel out. I use all of it.
Don Curtis I have used both round and flat nose, nowadays I use the round. . 3.1-3.2 gr of titegroup at 1.12 oal seems to do the trick. My tanfoglio needed to be loaded short and I just haven’t had a need to change it. I use federal primers exclusively.
@@ryan_root Thank you. Just took delivery of my New G34 Gen 5 MOS and will be competing in Production. So Im looking for ideas on a weight & recipe to run. Thank for the reply! I do appreciate you taking the time to help.
@@vijonbe got ya. Ya your rules are a little stricter and not all pistols are legal in IPSC compared to USPSA. A buddy of mine shoots a Glock 17 for his IPSC matches.
@@ryan_root 👍🏻Exactely, 17 is ok but 34 is not allowed here, I thought the rules where the same but you're right!👍🏻 Would love to be able to shoot the 34 in production, good for you! And great skills there anyway!
Congrats..! One for the 34..! 👍🍻🇺🇸
Congratulations on the great match with the G34...I love shooting mine.
Thanks man, I have a hard time leaving the plastic fantastics.
That was kickass non-stop exciting!
Rev. Gunn thanks man
Nice run. What were the modifications to the weapon besides the barrel? I use a G17 but I shoot IPSC. Regards from Portugal.

@@ryan_root Thanks for the reply. I do have challenges in that area due to smaller hands but will definitely look to go closer to the bore axis.
Great shooting! Just wish I had a course around here like this 😅
G34 run and run and run See Glock run good shooting sir
Is the rule of production to only have 10 rounds per magazine? I might as well go to limited division.
In production you are limited to 10 rounds per mag. Keep in mind that in limited division there are major and minor power factor scoring. Where as in production everything is scored as minor. Typically you are at a considerable disadvantage shooting minor power factor in limited.
that was some fine shooting my friend.
Thanks

@@ryan_root how are you shooting production with all of that?

Why does your gun look modified. I guess you can do certain things. Is the 34 really that big of a advantage over the 17. Cheers
It’s modified but mostly internal following the USPSA rules. I have an aftermarket mag release and sights that you can see. Also the guide rod. I like the G34 over the G17 for the longer sight radius and slightly longer barrel. It’s a marginal difference but it’s what most prefer.

What sights are you using?
These are Dawson Precision (black rear, fiber front)
Bullets weight?
Usually I use the 150gr blue bullets. I have used some of the 135 TCs from blue bullets as well.

The 34 is not a production division gun.
It's on the approved gun list. Its been in the top 4 pistols at Production Nationals for a while now.

To many reloads, reloading almost every 4 rounds
You should go count again. Reloads were near perfect on this match.
