Great video! My dad and I demonstrated making wooden buckets (with riven wood rings) at the Ohio Sate fair for about 15 and 10 years respectively with few deviations from what you presented. The few deviations were:
(1). No power tools (other than the chain saw to cut the logs.
(2). White oak rings, made from a green log without steam or heat.
    (3). No pegs
And, yes there is a lot of wood waste to pick up.

Im very impressed with your content and skills, it's a pleasure to watch you methodically work on your projects. I would like to ask if you could recommend resources to learn more about making those wooden hoops that you made for the bucket. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks again for your fine work!

The frustration that must have come with every mistake to get this level of craftsmanship, incredible.

13:55 I haven't actually used one for proper woodworking before, but I have noticed that victorinox knife steel is ver, surprisingly good for a stainless steel. I think it's on the soft side for woodworking (though certainly harder than typical kitchen knives), but it seems to be extremely fine-grained and homogenous so that it takes a shaving edge very well. I wish moderately priced name brand kitchen knives were made of the same steel, they're all embarrassingly soft and crumbly by comparison.

Hey, you know how we've basically perfected bucket making through injection molding? Well screw that crap!! Let's take way too many resources to make something that's fundamentally useless in comparison.😂

Nice. That chisel at 7:22 looks like Eskilstuna.
