@@Two_wheels_dasher I ended up getting a z125 for $2600, right under 2k also.. Holy fuck!!!!39k miles!!!. I forgot I wrote the original comment and am realizing how quickly and impulsively I sold the ruckus and got the z125 lol!!
Small amounts (1:10 -20)of lucas oil stabilizer in the oil changes will help maximize compression through its lifetime. Edit * project farm has videos testing the oil stabilizer and it really shows its superior film strength during the most chaotic stress when an engine is red lining
Disconnect the fuel injector next time, you will get a higher reading, there is no point washing the oil film off the cylinder and dumping the fuel in the sump, obviously the reading is going to be lower as well.
Have you replaced your Cam Chain Tensioner yet? Would be worth a look as with that many miles the little rubber wheel is dying. I killed my motor at 27,000 cause I didn't replace my cam chain tensioner in time. :). It's fairly quick and simple to do and will keep it alive for nother 15-20K with no worries. ;)
9,600 miles here stunt bike let’s see how long it goes!!!
that makes me feel great. just got a '23 with zero miles. going to get a lot of enjoyment out of it
got a 2020 about to hit 2k miles first bike and ive learned alot !
I got 33k+ miles on my 2017 grom.
I use it for deliveries.
I currently do deliveries on a ruckus and was really considering a grom. how much did you get yours for
@@jebi_jones got it second hand for 2900 with only under 2k miles on it, right now I'm at 39500 miles

Yup, replaced all of that before the top end, went with a delrin button: www.lexdfox.com/2020/10/05/the-grom-build-chain-tensioner/
Just curious how much did all the oem parts you used for the rebuild cost
Piston, rings, and cylinder were all about $115 or so.
how are your riding habits? aggressive? conservative? balanced? someone pls tl;dr this vid
balanced leaning towards the aggressive side.
I think its unanimously agreed upon, the grom engines last about 50k miles with care.

me too! fingers crossed
ive just hit 13000
Does it burn any oil after 20 k
no oil burnt!
