      @PracticalNetworking I am also interested when we should expect the course to be released. Could you give some insights in the scope of the course because although I am interested into networking maybe it would be too much advanced knowledge for web developer and not the actual Network engineer

      telnet protocol is used almost only in old systems. protocols like ftp, smtp, http, dns... is what devs should be familiar with

      Glad you enjoyed the video =).
      Telnet merely opens a TCP connection. THere isn't much more to it :) You can use it to open connections on port 25 to replicate SMTP conversations, or port 80 to replicate HTTP conversions (as we did in this video)

    Very well. So the HTTP request consists of basically two steps 1. Make socket connection 2.Send appropriate HTTP protocol string and receive response ?
