That's cool! It sounds awesome on everything. The eq isn't only confined to guitar frequency range and it doesn't seem too picky about where you put it in the chain. I just got a second one so I can run synths and stuff through them in stereo. 😅
@@basementlyle Yeah, I am learning as I watch you videos - I would have never thunk to put distortion on piano, but I kinda like it.....! =) I run stereo on everthing (2 amp set-up for guitar), it is an absolute must.... I am not a keyboardist at ALL, but I got a MicroFreak, and I run the mono out to mono pedals, then hit it with a Mimic stereo doubler pedal, then thru the Microcosm and/or Mood2 to get the full stereo flavor and movement.... Hell, the MicroFreak plays itself some killer stuff by just dropping a bunch of fingers down on the keys and fiddling with the knobs....!? I LOVE IT....! A million instant songs that I make up on keyboard without trying, but I could never replicate without using a recording of it....hhhhmmmm....when in hold mode playing arps, it would help if the keys lit up and showed you what you actually played....! LoL If you don't, or haven't ever played with a Zen Delay (it is stereo, bonus!), I can't more highly recommend it to you.... It is a knob tweeker's paradise, so much fun - you literally play it like an instrument....! I have it hooked up to my drum machine 24/7, I get crazy "loop-like" drum samples with smears like DJ record scratches ping-ponging back and forth - stuck in the delay itself.... Nuff said, must go jam - NO WORK TODAY, YAY....! =)
@@pamelaa4010 You're totally right about the Microfreak. It is a discovery machine. I love how they keep updating it with incredible new firmware too. As for the Zen Delay... VERY jealous. There is that tier of pedal that I haven't quite entered: Zen Delay, Cosmos, H90, LVX, CXM1978, etc... that seem out of reach, but If I planned better, maybe they would be mine. One thing I love about keyboards is MIDI. My stuff is obviously improvised, but I capture all the MIDI when I play, including the knob tweaks and it is a nice peace of mind that if I need to, I can circle back and reuse or tweak things without having to remember what I got up to. So many players rely on chops and craft but I don't have either thing. It's been such a pleasant experience being able to mess around with sounds, that I'm becoming protective of it. I don't work in a way that will allow perfectionism to creep in and spoil the fun. It's been such a luxury to have this experience and I want to hold on as long as I can. 🥰
Amazing demo! Almost hypnotic at times! It’s insane how versatile this pedal is! 🤯
Thanks! The pedal makes me feel like a rockstar lol.
I really loved the sounds you got, it’s always amazing to see how everyone gets such different creative sounds out of the same pedal. ❤
Thanks so much! I love that too, seeing how people get such different sounds out of pedals. ♥
Very impressive!!
Thanks so much! It is such a blast to play with. :)
I use my Dunsh for guitar, but you really got some nice textures running a synth thru it....! I will have to try that in the near future.... =)
