Dakilang Katapatan

This virtual choir project was put up by the MANILA CHAMBER SINGERS to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the choir's launching concert. Aptly-titled, OUR FIRST, the said concert was held at the Philamlife Auditorium in Manila on June 30, 2000.
Featuring the voices of 72 current and former members, this project is a testament to God's faithfulness and sustaining grace to the choir and the whole MCS family of supporters from different parts of the world. Twenty years of music-making, of life-long friendships and endless adventures, while showcasing the best of Filipino choral artistry!
DAKILANG KATAPATAN was composed by one of the Philippines' foremost Christian songwriters, N. Arnel De Pano. This choral arrangement by no less than the composer himself, was commissioned by MCS in 2006 and was first recorded by the choir in 2007 for their 2007 European Concert Tour. Dakilang Katapatan was also one of the Festival Songs during the COLORS OF WORSHIP - A Festival of Sacred Choral Music, in 2008. Since then, this well-loved arrangement has been sung by numerous church and community choirs in the country.
