- My name is Alfred Montaner I restore rib boats in Miami,Florida .My website is www.luxuryribtenders.com
This restoration is of a 730 Willard rib boat.At ABS we offer two types of hypalon 828 "standard" or upgraded thicker 866 "military grade" hypalon. We only offer Orca hypalon which is the premier hypalon at the moment.
This particular boat was retubed with 866 Neptune grey hypalon with black shark fin Rubrails. Lifeline and rings were made custom so was the black non skid material.
The bow of this boat was an upgrade using 4 rubrails and a vertical Anchor guard. All of the glue used was made from Orca.
If your interested in retubing a rib boat or a yachttender I can be reached via email at luxuryribtenders@gmail.com or via my website www.luxuryribtenders.com
Thanks for watching dont forget to Like this video if you found it useful
People often say how expensive retubing is. Having watched how incredibly labour intensive this process is I can't believe how inexpensive it works out!
LOVE HOW THE OLD TIMERS TAKE SO MUCH PRIDE IN THIER WORK❗️💪💪💪✌️
Wow, Artist, Artisans, Over the Top Craftsmen, Extreme Professionals, A great video of amazing work, very interesting, ty, ty, TY.
Happy birthday bro
This was a great learning experience. Tell the crew “They done good”.
Your guys are real craftsmen!
I was totally surprised at how labor intensive this process is. It is always enjoyable to watch master craftsmen at work. They make the job appear so easy when in fact you realize considerable skill is required. Thank you for showing this process.
It’s always a pleasure to watch a master at his trade,I hope this man gets paid really well he’s worth every penny!!
Absolutely 💯% Gorgeous
A BEAUTIFUL JOB FOR A BEAUTIFUL BOAT IN A GREAT SHOP....You guys remind me of my old shop back in the 90s in Cleveland robotics ... FAST AND LOOSE ANDVWE DID FANTASTIC WORK AND HAD FUN MAKING MONEY ....!!!!👍👍👍
the "sanding" you do on the edges to prepare for the glue is called "SKYVING" in the leatherwork business. We do the same thing on seams and to prepare edges for glue. Skyving also takes a bit of the thickness out of the edge so that the seams taper to a neat edge better. Amazing the similarities to the leatherwork that I do. I found this video fascinating. Thanks for posting Alfred!
Wow that came out beautiful !
And I learned how labor intensive it is to do that. And now I know how you make your money too LOL
Thanks Alfred, you guys did a great job and thanks for the video
Incredible!!!! That’s a lot of intense Labor. Great job guys what a great crew!!
That man is a true master of his craft
So glad to have a shop that does this kind of work in South FL. Looks like you guys do really good job!
Some very talented people worked on this project . You all should be very proud .
Would like to see a video on how they build the tubes new .
Thanks for sharing ...
Thanks!
Awesome job 👍. The owner is a Star Track fan. 🌌
Supper high respect, high caliber craftsmanship.
RESPECT... Solid business man.
one minute into the video. don't know much what to expect, and i like this guy. to the point - even if the video is 2 hrs long. but, whatever their end goal is, it is rather insane/ ''amazingness''.
Your video is very helpful.
Thank you very much Sir.
Never knew the work was done by hand and how much work it takes, awesome video, thanks for sharing!
Made it look easy..Very talented.
I use to work for a company that makes rubber tank liners I worked there for a couple of months and they laid us all off..thanks for sharing the video is totally cool
your videos bring brightness to a typical dull day !
Nice work guy's keep safe.
Thank you ! Great Job I just started watching your videos now I'm hooked .
Great video post!! Thank you!!
That was amazing! I am impressed!
I never realized how much work goes into tube manufacturing.
You have a fantastic crew!
It's realy with love ..we work ..lick that..you have this remarque..to be continued..
Alfred, when you do a 'Chit Show' video, you are a real tease, but now you have shown us how you rebuilt the Willard, you have made a wonderful real-life documentary. I found it extremely interesting and educational, and I'd like to thank you and all of your friends for showing us how you do your work. You are all extremely skilled and I was surprised how tough these Hyperlon ribs really are - just a little bit better than the P.V.C. 'toys' we see in supermarkets - well a lot better. And you injected your usual Alfred Montaner fun into the film as well. There is only one thing I complain about now, not your fault, but the fact that I am not allowed to afford to buy one. Perhaps I might be able to steal one of those many inflatables that are invading Britain across The English Chanel on a daily basis (Joke of course) I know that you made this film over two years ago, but this is the first time I have seen it, but it is never to late to say thank you again.
Wow great skills used to make the tubes.
Nice ..❤well done .. thanks for sharing all process
Thanks you for the time And the Will to show us something everyone on youtube afraid to show..
Love the skill that’s involved ,love your channel.
Amazing video, I feel like you'd be the best boss EVER! Nice craftsmanship, professionally done. If I ever win the lottery, I'll be one of your customers. Mike (From Canada)
What an amazing job you guys did!. Very clean looking tube.
I discovered your channel a short while ago and I love everything about it. Since this was filmed at the early stage of the pandemic I hope that all of you and your families are okay.
Nos vemos.
Hello Alfred,,, It was great to watch true craftsman's at work. I had no idea what was involved to doing the tubes. Like you said a lot of man hours go into doing one. I was stationed at Patrick AFB and would see the PJ's out in the Banana River using those boats. I am retired now and live in Talisay City, on the inland of Cebu, Philippines.
I loved the the trip you showed around town. We use to go to South Beach to feel poor haha. Like when the video was made you guys when under lockdown we have the same thing going on here now. Bit scarey like you said to see what is going on back in the US. With COV-19 on the comeback in FL please you and your family and the guys at the shop be safe.
PS the tug video was great!!
Thank you for sharing this video. Please provide hearing protection for any employees that may request it.
Great video Alfred!

Nice job guys! I need a delivery to germany😅
Awesome GREAT JOB TRUE PROFESSIONALS!!!
Beautiful job!
Hey Alfred, I’m a massive fan of your channel. Regularly watch and enjoy your energy and enthusiasm on your reviews. I hope the manufacturers appreciate your effort. Great to see a truly skilled worker doing a great job. Have you taken on an apprentice to learn this skill. Our futures are in the hands of these skilled people and we need to pass on these skills to the youths of our time. Keep up the fantastic work. From Andy in Stirling Scotland
Hopefully many apprentices come out of these videos. My goal has always been able to grow the rib boat world especially in North America
Alfred Montaner I’m sure your the man that can. Unfortunately for the moment our trip to Florida has been postponed for this year or until the COVID situation passes. Take care of you and your family. All the best.
Andy
Woww super rib👍👍👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Hola Hermno !!
Skilled artisan at work, nice job!! Just thinking of all of the marine trades in and around Florida. Growing up in Tennessee, there's not alot of need for the marine industry. Sure there's many lakes but just not as much demand here and so instead of me working with boats, I make lighting for general motors and boat works on the weekend's lol
Fantastic work guys.
A great thing of beastly beauty ! Evert , tube master craftsman , great ( crazy ) team effort & work , fascinating project and content yet again Alfred ! Next...……...sea trial of that bad-girl .
That may be a possibility!
Very nice neat work
Beautiful work !!!!
Me gustó mucho el video
El próximo en castellano si fuese posible ya que seguro que tiene una gran aceptación
Muy bien trabajo señores
Enhorabuena

Talk about mad skills. Nice work, certainly not for the faint of heart. I lived in Florida for 34 years, now Virginia for 15, but I'll be back because I miss my family, fishing and weather. Don't miss the cockroaches though.
Nice Video Brother, Very Like..👍
Always bringing that 🔥in your videos
Nice job. Guys should wear mask . with all the sanding
Never knew such an industry existed. Would like to hear your story of how you became to own a business that does this.
And don't lie-you get to work later than everyone else cause you the boss.
I been there.😊
Retired now and almost 50.
But still very interested in business. Maybe I should start a YTUBE channel interviewing successful small and medium size business owners.
What do you think?
That guys worth his weight in gold. Wow.

Ex-navy . Nice boat
Doing Work .... Love it
Awesome video. I was always interested in knowing how these type of inflatables are made. I always thought that all the tapes, seams, fixing points and other things were all welded together. I didn't know it could all be removed. What is the adhesive used? Thanks for sharing.
amazing
This material looks to be the same material we in the trucking industry use for curtains and tarps , same labor intensive process.
Wow this is amazing. A piece of my tube detached from the body by the transem on my infanta. What is the glue you use to attach the tube to the hulle?
how hard would it be to manufacture a thundercat (zapcat) using hypalon instead of pvc?
not hard
Hot hands once again
Hey, it's the guy from the toilet. Anwsome job bro 👍🏾
