      No we can’t. These swords are ceremonial

      In WW2 there was a soldier who used the bagpipes, a Scottish broadsword, and a longbow.

      I'm no war expert neither weapons expert but using a sword in combat today would be useless, as cool as it would be to charge with a sword, you have better chance with a bayonet. The only way I see a sword useful is if its close range or stealthfully used. But if you do bring a sword best to have a gun.

    are you using the british army sword because i saw the sword blade is straight rather than the us army sword that have a bit bend at the blade and i saw the scabbard is different.if the us army sword,the sword scabbard is having a bit bending upward according to the sword blade shape.if the british army sword,it is just straight according to the sword blade shape

      Its a US Navy Officer's Sword. Every Branch uses a different sword, the navy's just happens to be straight

      @@PrestonW9 i see it know.thanks for telling me that.one more question,why your's high ranking officer just like lieutenant,general and others officers of the army,navy and air force are not bringing their sword when attending a parade or armed force day.not like our country that our armed force officer will bring their sword to symbolise their are officer and our country is british commonwealth.it is probihited?

      Tobby Hudson in US military swords tend to be used when in a formation and the group is armed, usually with rifles. Otherwise there’s not really a need.

      @@Shimshashuii2743like said above typically it's worn when in command of troops under arms for a parade or show , but they are also worn for weddings , Change of command , Military ball along with other ceremonial events were the full dress uniform Is prescribed.

      They are blunt these days. Only for show.

      Swords have always been dull in peacetime its a ceremonial tradition to only have them sharpened at War time

      Matt Easton from ,scholagladiatora' channel said, that modern swords, produced for ceremonial use only, have no more the blade quality as in old days, when swords had been weapons, a lot of knowledge is forgotten now.

      Dafuq kind of sword you using? False edge shouldn’t be sharpened more than the last 6 inches, at most, even on a battle ready blade.

      No I was a little on the sick side when making this so there was a lot of mucus and saliva building up that I had to swallow
