Bespoke, they'll help you cover up your mangina with cool manly stuff 😆
actually heres something that others from the judea/buddha/ other religions have underwhelmingly overlooked: 2 peter chapter 3. cause man was created at the beginning. i dont want to debate however a day with the lord is a thousand years. a thousand years is a day(that would put jesus over 2023 years old) and cain much older that estimate of 50,000 years old. the word is god(spoken)the word was god(jesus made flesh) and everything started at the beginning :)
Hey I was wondering if you could do a video on The sleepwalkers??
Do WereWolf Next
Yes please make video about the top five oldest werewolves
Dracula untold is such an underrated movie.
It would work if the character was not "the Dracula". They ruined the core of what the character meant to symbolize. The Castlevania creators were smart to create Alucard and let Dracula be Dracula.
I love Dracula untold, but it was not long enough, and just for that I think it's a disapointment... But the Lore is mesmerising ! I wish they showed us more Lore about origins of Vampire and my curiosity would love to see more Dracula in the modern time.
Need a sequel
Agreed, it sucks were not getting the monsterverse movies
we deserve a series, at least a trilogy. even if they went back a little before modern times to make number 2...
Do a Werewolf list too. Just do all them.
Yes bro that would be so sick
@smellyreshala5378 so sick bro. I am a werewolf
@@MeMe-jq3ky oh yea for sure for sure
I think Akasha would be significantly older than the Master Vampire seeing as she was born before the first pharaoh built the first pyramid. I think she needed a spot on the list.
While technically a dhampir, D, from Vampire Hunter D, is very likely well over 10,000 years old.
So, not a full vampire, but he is significantly older than Akasha.
Immediately thought of D
@@reichstein011 but his father/creator is Dracula and he is a vampire but people always forget about vampire d books which is a shame
she was turned around 4000BC but Amel who turned her was older
@@mrnegativity7056 Amel wasn’t a vampire. He was a spirit that had a thirst for blood & merged with Akasha when she died, so he unintentionally made the first vampire. Doesn’t make him a vampire.
Dracula Untold should’ve had a sequel.
you forgot queen Akasha from Queen of the Damned who's over 6000 years old.
Also, YES on werewolf :)
And Rice's original werewolf was even older.
Over 10,000 years old.
Also some of the vampires from True Blood
The oldest vampire is Dracula from Penny Dreadful making him Lucifer’s brother and a fallen angel is a really good idea and I also like Cain from Vampire The Masquerade
The oldest vampire would be Dracula from Vampire hunter D
You mean The Sacred Ancestor
How old is that stated to be?
@@LuisRodriguez-lf1icLucifer and angels were created before the earth in the Biblical creation
@AndrewGiles688 ok, but how old are they in those fictional universes?
I never thought you would consider Mr Oliver.
Also Akasha was around 6,000 years old.
And what about Alucard?
The goat of vampire lore has graced us with he presence once again
I know you don't usually cover books, but in the Anita Blake series there is a vampire older than Mr. Oliver, The Mother of All Darkness, or Mommie Darkest is the original vampire of that series. She's also a wereanimal. She's old enough that you can be both according to the books' lore. Awesome video!
thats what i remember too
best vimpre books ever next to the ann rice series !
Thank you for bringing up Mommy Dearest. The series has just barely introduced her since she has just appeared to Anita via dreams/visions.
@@myinformationoverloadshe's been defeated
Yes Anita ate her lol
I love you for fueling my vampire obsession
Check out the film "He Never Died" it follows Cane and heavily insinuates his vampirism.
That’s the push I needed to watch that Henry Rollins movie ty
He wasn’t a vampire tho because he needed to eat flesh not just drink blood plus he could go out in the sun
In the miniseries Midnight Mass there's a vampire that would give the number 5 spot a run for his money
Wow. From the Anita Blake series? Took me by surprise. Great video.
Small correction: not part of Egypt- the 'pyramids' of Sumeria were actually ziggurats - Egypt's empire never extended that far east, even at its' height...
So happy to see Grimgerimjim from What We Do In The Shadows
I think vampire hunter D was very old as well. That's one that would have been a good one to explore as well. Thanks
"Still waiting for Bloodline 2"
I am beginning to believe that we won't get it, and if we do, I hope that it is good
Same
Don't hope for much. Not after all the fuck ups during development and a full change of the team working on it
@@derkrischa3720 I know
K but fr dude Akasha, Khayman, Mekare, and Maharet from the Anne Rice books deserved an honourable mention tho.
True but the books aren’t film and TV, and notable ones worth covering
L.A. Banks had an entire series of books and graphic novels called "The Vampire Huntress."
Her vampire lore is so profound it'll make you want more.
yes please do a thorough list of the oldest werewolves :P
Yes! I read every single one! Loved them. RIP L.A.BANKS
@rochellemcdonald2610 she's just chilling in her cliff side lair until all this blows over. Her words, not mine, lol
I think a good honorable mention would be The King of the Vampires from the Hellblazer comic. He wasn't even from the Earth having lived on other planets prior. He arrived on Earth around the same time the first humans showed up.
I would love a werewolf version of this video. I wasn’t interested in werewolves before finding your channel but you have helped me develop an interest there. Thanks a lot for that! And for all the great content! 🖤
Just when it felt like I’ve watched every interesting RUclips upload, I get 16 minutes of interesting.
Edit- wait, did you say SET OF THROWING KNIVES in your promo?
Edit edit: really enjoyed this!
I’m so old I’ve LARPed The Masquerade. It was absolutely as awesome as you would think.
Where is Akasha from The Vampire chronicles?
I can’t believe I thought of one. So much vampire info in my head.
The algorithm works in mysterious ways.
Same. LARP for Mind's Eye Theater was fun, & entertaining.
According to the lore, Caine can create new disciplines if he wishes
In the book, that i'm planning to write. The Vampires themselves know almost nothing about their origin. They estimate their race to be around 10 thousand years old.
Though, it's a very rough estimate, since most of the oldest living Vampires are less than 5 thousand years old.
@madarpauser2133 I, too, am an aspiring author. Forgive me, but I see a hiccup in your story already. If the vampires know almost nothing about their origins, how do they come to estimate the race is 10,000 years old? How do the age of the living vampires (5000 years) relate to the 10,000 year estimate? The dots don't connect and that be a turn off to the reader.
May I suggest incorporating an archeological artifact that has been carbon dated as 10,000 years old. And have a character say something like, "This symbol on the artifact is on in the crest of a dozen vampire clans."
@@siubrown3448 The oldest living Vampires i'm talking about aren't the first ones. There were Vampires before them, and some of those Vampires were considered quite old, even 5000 years ago. That's where the estimate of their race being around 10000 years old comes from.
@@madarpauser2133 Hello. I got it from the get-go that the "Oldest Living Vampires" are NOT the original vamps. I also got it that 5000 years ago, the Oldest Vamps were considered "quite old." But I still don't get how the subjective/ambiguous expression of "quite old" equates a specific number of years. For example, five years ago, I considered my mother in law "quite old." Does that mean MIL is about 10 years old? If I tell you my age is 52, MIL is still "quite old" to me, is MIL 104 yo? When I turn 53, MIL is STILL quite old to me, does that means she's 106 years old? What the heck happed to her 105th birthday?
Conversely, If I said, I consider MIL "quite old" because she remembers voting for FDR.
@@siubrown3448 I didn't said the oldest living Vampires were considered quite old 5000 years ago. I said there were Vampires BEFORE them that were considered quite old 5000 years ago. I was talking about a previous generation.
Basically what i'm saying is that the Vampires use something akin to a family tree to trace their origin. So far they were only able to trace it back to 10000 years ago. As for where you can read my book. Sadly i'm still working on it. Once it becomes available, i will let you know.
@@madarpauser2133 AH, the family tree
I see "What We Do in the Shadows", I like it!
Yes I’ve been waiting for a video like this for ages since I’ve subscribed here cogan I’ve learned a lot about monster mythology.
Always a good day seeing you upload; also from your strigoi video from the strain I love how you make it amusing and so funny, also quinlan is the best character next to the Master and needed a new series for him. Also any chance you might cover the ginger snaps movies especially the second one with the werewolf stalking the other sister and why it’s attracted to her?
I’m probably alone when I say I liked Blade Trinity as a kid but I will say knowing Wesley really wasn’t interested & the first 2 were just SO GOOD, I see why the 3rd isn’t popular.
Thanks for the amazing video ❤
Great work on this one!
Great job! Thanks for posting this. 😊
Amazing work as always.
All my vampire knowledge comes from you, and I am thankful that I love your work.
I love this damn channel, Cogan you’re the best. Hope you are doing well ❤️
Akasha from the Anne Rice novels and movie is like 6,000 years old, and Dracula from Dracula 2000 was actually Judas. Jerry Dandrige and his sister Regine are something like 1,000 years old. The Turok-Han are prehistoric vampires from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I wonder how old Katrina from 1986's Vamp, and Marie from 1992's Innocent Blood are?
Omg, someone else remembers Vamp? 😊
@@curtbousquet3215 For sure, I even found a copy on DvD some years back 😁
@@TheOther644 wow, I'm kinda surprised it got released on DVD. I may grab it if I see it...
Ty bespoke post for sponsoring our boy.
always love your videos
Mr. Oliver is not the oldest. Marmee Noir is the oldest, she is the first vampire in the Anita Blake series.
Came to the comments to say the same.
Wow! What a great video! Perfect to geek out to man.
I was going to ask why Akasha and Russell Edgington weren't on the list, but then I realized you're only counting vampires still alive in their respective universes.
This was a fun video, thanks!
Great little peak into all these franchises. Looking forward to Werewolves. I've just realised I missed your Nightwatch video, I really like Nightwatch and Daywatch, they really had such a different feel to other movies.
Great vid. The list was good
Great vid! Yeah, a vid on the oldest werewolves would be cool
BTW Akasha from Anne Rice novel Queen Of The Damned is over 6000. So falls into both book and movie category.
Awesome i love Vampire and Werewolf Lore.
Have you ever thought about doing some stuff on some locations in these Games - Movies etc like the Lore on them.
The Ocean House Hotel from Vampire - The Masquerade - Bloodlines sounds like a good start.
Respect and keep up the epic work.
Man, haven’t read any of the Anita Blake books since I was a teen. That’s a throwback!
Can't wait for your next video.
I love that you had the Sire from What We Do In the Shadows. Love that show.
The Alpha vampire from the supernatural series is even very likely significantly older than Mr. Oliver. He was alive since before the discovery/harnessing of fire which would put him at about 1.7 to 2 million years old.
I love your enthusiasm ❤️
Caine is most powerful IMO, it's theorized that he can make deciplines as needed that other clans do not possess
Thanks for clarifying Kurt Barlow. Great video and really well put together! I could do without vampires in video games though LOL
If you haven’t yet you need to check out the blood angels from warhammer 40,000 perfect example of sci-fi vampires/super soldiers and regularly live for a 1000+ plus years their are ones entombed in dreadnoughts that are nearly 10,000 years old
Akasha is over 6000 years old my man.
Great list, I was really impressed when you threw in the Anita Blake. You're not fooling me, you purposely left out Akasha so everyone would make a comment about it! Yes to werewolves!
Yes! Please do a oldest Werewolf video! I like how much research you do. The things you must know.
Yay ,bespoke post sound great ,I do it in may
If using Blade (Marvel) in the comics, Varnae was first created around 18500 BC by Darkholders, perhaps placing him near top of the list at 3 or even number 2. This depends though on how you look at VTMs timeline since the writers followed more of biblical and not scientific timelines. Dates in the Book of Nod are stated at around 10000 BC. If scientific, the whole 3rd mortal theory could be put into question as well as creationism, which is only just over 4000 BC.
Akasha of A.Rice vampire chronicles
Akasha definitely needs to be on this list
So few people talk about the Anita Blake novels, so I loved that Mr. Oliver was on there.
The Vampire Barlow in Salem's Lot would be an honorable mention. They don't mention it in either of the two t.v. adaptations. But in the novel, Barlow mentions that he predates Christianity by several centuries.
Thank you 😊
great video. lets get that top 5 werewolves video ASAP
Love this please do more
I was curious if Mr. Oliver would show up. Definitely not disappointed. 😊
CoganLollins kids will get the best camp fire and bed time stories😅
Let's get that oldest werewolfs! Keep up the good work love your videos!!
Dude,
I still can't wait for you to tackle the Legacy of Kain series.
awesome video! yes do werewolves!!
Glad to see Anita Blake stories getting a mention.
Great vampire video
Fun fact about Oblivion from 5E VTM, it's actually a hybrid of Obtenebtation from the Lasombra and Necromancy from the Capadosians from previous editions.
Was waiting/hoping to see “What we do in the shadows” on here!
In queen of the damned, Akasha, “the first vampire.” is around or older than 6,000 years old which would make her older than the master and somewhat equal to Drake and more powerful as she can burn beings from inside out and fly to name a few.
I would love the oldest werewolves list.
I remember the Anita Blake books.... talk about scary when they talked about the leader of the city was one thousand years old, and she meets Mr. Oliver. Good books.
Technically, Lilith is in Vampire: The Masquerade, as well... She's mainly just in the lore and background, but she seemed to be propped up as some form of women's empowerment fantasy in the way she's portrayed in the books for the RPG when she's merely a rejected mate of Adam's (prior to Eve's creation, so she was Adam's equal, as God made them both separately). Lilith later on caught up with Kain after he was cursed with immortality and he turned her first, I believe.
Otherwise, she's known as The Mother of Demons, so I'm assuming she was a bit more openly evil than just not finding Adam attractive... Being a Yenta doesn't make you Evil, after all... Merely annoying.
My Mom is going to kill me if she reads that joke... Thus, proving my joke accurate in the long run.
Anyway, I stopped reading Anita Blake after the first two series, but I've still got them bagged and boarded... Brett Booth did the art for that series, right? I liked his work for Image when I was in High School during the early to mid 90's... He has a very distinctive style.
An oldest werewolf list would be interesting , since it's not as common for werewolves to have stated ages in fiction as it is for vampires.
Always look forward to your videos. Dracula Untold deserves a sequel.
Yes you should do a video of the oldest werewolves
Definitely an oldest werewolves video! That would be awesome!
Vampire the Masquerade and Cain. You're delving into the Book of Nod, in actuality.
Hell yeah I love werewolf content. I adore vampire lore deep dives but I cherish the wolves. Let's gooo
The age of Caine is really tricky. Many games in World of Darkness have their own version of the story about the firts vampire. For example, in Wraith The Oblivion there is a being called "Lady of Fate" who (most likely) is either Eve, and she mentions that she waits for "her son" in the Shadowlands (basically underworld). When she was asked how old her son is, she replied 9-10.000 years old but no one really counts anymore except vampires.
But time in the Shadowlands is weird. So yeah, tricky stuff.
In Dracula 2000 it depicts Judas as the first vampire which would make him over 2000 years old and my favorite Dracula story yet.
Drakes mouth looks like "The Predator"
There is also the Alpha Vampire from Supernatural. Probably at least 800K years old since he was around before the discovery of fire.
Count Magnus Lee, Vampire Hunter D. 12,000 years old and extremely bored with life 😅
Should have mentioned or if you do another one of these, like a top 10 oldest vampires or something like that, ide mention Janos Audron from The Legacy of Kain series, have you ever talked about those games?
A story of a vampire who created a vampire empire that ruled their world for a thousand years, but the main chapters take place before and after the empire. and has one of the most complex time travel stories ever created.
The character Janos was pretty unique looking in that he was of a pure ancient vampire species who had blue skin and blue wings and would have been at least 3,000 years old but probably a lot older.
It would be nice if that series to gets more mentions and exposure because it's been struggling to get continuations for a while.
Im suprised death from Castlevania didnt make the list
Oldest "Vampires"
Death is at best a Shinigami.
Thank you for mentioning The Earthmover from Anita Blake Vampire Hunter Series. I am currently reading this series. I'm on book 13 out of 30. I highly recommend this series from Laurell K. Hamilton. I really like the character Anita Blake.
Same, I'm on book 28
To much porn and in a few books from where you are the quality of her books drops a lot.
Just a heads up, I don't think she is anywhere done writing more books for the series. And they get better the more of them you read.
I think you would enjoy doing a video on it,I personally love the movie and your channel Homi
It would be awesome to have a top 5 oldest werewolf list. Also an interesting idea werewolf media to look into is comics and graphic novels. 3 titles worth looking into are Werewolf by night from Marvel, The Astonishing Wolf-man by Image comics and Kane, which is an indie comic with a crazy cool lore. I know you don’t do a lot of comic stuff but they are doing some cool content. Just wanted to share for your consideration. Love you videos and keep up the great work.👍🏼🐺🌕🧛🏻♂️⚰️
We don’t know how old he is so my fan theory is. Elder vampire thomas is the master vampire from dracula untold
I was surprised that you didn’t mention Akasha from Queen of the Damned
You may want to take a look at "The Unseen Elder" from The Witcher 3 blood and wine DLC. That vampire was... Impressive.
Marvel is about to have an event centered around vampires called "Blood Hunt", hope you cover it once the story is complete.
