This celebrates 1975-76 Reds. This starting group of 8 were together for only TWO years! The won the World Series both years! They won 80% of the games all 8 started those 2 years. They won by 20 games in 1975 and SWEPT the playoffs in 1976. Foster did not start for the Reds until May 1975, Perez was stupidly traded after the 1976 season. Everybody wants to reference the rest of the decade, but these eight players only started two seasons together, and they dominated those two seasons. In 1976, as a TEAM, they almost hit .300 for the year ( .296 team avg). 5 out of the 8 batted over .300, and 6 of 8 batted over .280. Their road record that year was an incredible 53-28. They swept the postseason without losing a game. 7 out of the 8 made the all-star team (5 starters & 2 reserves). The Reds had 3 Hall of Famers plus the Hit King (should be 4 of 8).
