Which projector will be better for gaming? BW VP6 or BOOMAKER 7200 ??
Hey chigz, I have been using this for a year now, I only bought as a starter. I’ve tried loads of expensive mini projectors, the problem I’m having is that none of them come close in performance??? Can you recommend a good cheap ish mini projector that is as good as this?

Oh my goodness chigz.. just got this projector today and it brilliant... The picture is brilliant.. have it set up at 100 inch screen... WOW... I'm watching Arsenal v Everton......
Have had this over a year and just did 4k videos and even 8k and the videos were awesome on youtube. Love it.
Just wondering what would be the recommended largest screen one would use with this projector? Is 120 too much, what about 100? Of course a darkened room would be necessary. I would assume thank you.

@@tomasotreasaigh111 I just did 4k on my xfinity flex box player this weekend and looked great on an older screen. Have had it for over a year and use it often, it has a really good led light inside. Forgot the brand but they make led grow lights with those lights. Will have to research again to see which led brand it is.
So is the Bomaker 7200 the same als Vivicine M20? According to another reviewer on RUclips it is.

Exactly the same, I just bought one from ebay for £150 new with 1 yr warranty. I am pretty pleased with it so far and the audio is loud enough for me without having to link it up to a speaker
I have same one but does not focus on clearly on all 4 corners how to do.
@@kyleday5026 You have to make sure the screen is completely straight and you have to adjust the keystone so the lines on the sides are completely straight up and down then focus and should be clean and bright on the whole surface of the screen. You have to have a screen as well to get the best experience and try not to get the cheapest, I like the pull down screens because the motor on the electric ones could go out and then what do you do? lol

Nice review. I’ve been looking for a well priced projector. This looks like it could be the one.
I got this just before summer started for movie nights with the kid. It's awesome. One of the best budget projectors out there. Picture is great and even though the built in speaker doesn't have any bass it still gets loud without any distortion.

@@bahatipatrick212 It's Ok, I watch cable with the blinds closed and a dark (not black) flag covering about 2/3 of the window. And it's noticably less quality picture but not enough for me to hook up my TV.

Where is the extra bulb that is included? Amazon and their website state this. Where you able to find it?
No extra bulb included. Maybe you get a voucher.
It's an LED soldered inside and you get a extra fuse that I believe is in the projector somewhere. I remember taking it out but have only cleaned the filters for the dust. Have to take mine apart to get dust out and keep it as clean as possible.

What about streaming while using the vidéoprojecteur on the side with keystone adjustment , I heard that there is delay between sound and image if we use keystone
No sound lag, but if you're maxing out the keystone adjustment you'll most likely have blurry edges. Or one side a little blurred with the other side clear.

you can do that with simple voltage divider. i did it to my 720p China projector and works without any problems for few years since that. do that for smaller fan as this the one that make noise.

i have this and yup it's crisp at the edges for me (without keystone adjustment) i think keystone distorts the edges a bit

Hands down projector you will not get any tv bigger than 32” with good quality. This projector you will get 100+ inches price a tv in that range even 1080p see what you get

Hey, I brought the ViviBright F40 about a year ago, never had any issues with movies and games.
I've just brought this one and I'm testing side by side and the Bomaker lux destroys my older Vivibright
The F40 is no longer on your list and how would you compare the two if you take the lumens out of the question?

I got a Vivibright GP100 and I attached it to my ceiling, the best way I found to easily get fantastic sound was to buy an 'FM Transmitter' and simply plug it into the headphone socket on the back of the projector and then tune any Stereo System Radio into the correct frequency. I have a good Technics with 5 speakers and watching movies sounds amazing. The FM Transmitter cost me €25 and it saved me the hassle of running wires all over the place. Good luck.

so what's the diff between LUMENS vs ANSI LUMENS. in your video it said 7200 LUMENS. on amazon it said 300 ANSI LUMENS. I'm confusing..
ANSI lumens is a regulated unit of measurement, the other lumen ratings are usually false. It's always best to watch reviews to actually see the brightness. 👍🏼

I can tell you, if you play with the manual keystone, you will get blurry top or bottom. Best to set the manual keystone as evenly as possible and use the digital keystone.
Mine is a Toptro, but it is the exact same projector as this.
Won't digital keystone decrease the resolution and destroy the image quality even more?
@@elmariachi5133 Not in my experience. These cheap LED Chinese projectors use very cheap optics. That is why the manual keystone is garbage. Mine with digital, looks great. I even have an old infocus, and it's manual keystone works as does its digital.
@@elmariachi5133 its better to sacrifice a few pixels than sacrificing clarity.... yes the resolution will be a little bit less but at least it wont blurr the image.
I will be mounting to a ceiling so will need to use keystone to adjust the picture. Is this projector no good for me then? I have read everywhere that keystone and zoom features on cheap projects are no good as they destroy the picture quality. I thinking of mounting mine to the ceiling and the screen will be 3 meters away so around 100 inch size.
@@anonymous4201 I bought the projector and I think it's really great for the price. My viewing distance is very short (about 4), with a rather big image (about 2,40m diagonally), so I can see image related issues rather easy. I am using the optical keystone correction, which actually warps the image minimally on the sides, and also gives a bit of blur in the peripheral areas, but it's very little and doesn't bother me at all when watching movies. With your distance and image size you probably should be able to use the digital keystone correction without visual loss in image quality.
The one bad thing that isn't said clearly enough IMHO about this projector is: It's completely unusable for gaming, because of lag AND stutter. Yeah, depending on the video source the video stutters sometimes, like it was only 30Hz or even less instead of 60Hz. And there's a huge latency, meaning you can see the mouse cursor dragging behind, after you already stopped moving the mouse. But watching movies still is fun and a pleasant experience on this projector, if you don't mind occasional stutter.

Unfortunately this one and Akey6 are known for low hertz rate which is terrible for 60fps games.
Can confirm unfortunately. Not only games, it is very apparent on panning camera scenes in movies as well. found out the hard way after receiving the projector. unfortunately I dont trust #chigs anymore. This review completely ignores this issue and now im stuck with a projector which i dont like. :(

chigz i like your videos and your reviews BUT i own both parrot I and v630 and parrot is not 100% focus and not bright enough. v630 wins because its text to focus top and bottom and wasnt not hard to do and its 10% brighter than parrot I
The number one problem with these types of projectors is the fan noise!! I'm waiting for a reasonably Quiet One.
That's my whole gripe also. My picky ass will lose my mind after a few shows but then again if the sound is loud, I guess u wouldn't hear it. I haven't personally seen the tech advance in years

I have mine right above my head and unless there's a complete silence going on in your show/movie/game you don't even hear it. And it's not ruining the show loud. Just something in the background
Hi Chrigz, love the reviews. I just got a parrot 1 but there seems to be issues with the horizontal refresh, that it's really slow and seems to display artifacts and skipped frames when playing games (gran tourism for example). Not sure if you noticed anything like this? I've tried lots of different HDMI leads.
Wondering if I got a dodgy unit.
It's a known issue. This projector under various brand names has a "juddering" problem. It's a faulty unit for gaming . Still very good for movies though overall ( that's why he rated it highly ).
Does anybody know if these cheapo projectors with SPDIF/Optical (Like the ViviBright) will actually output a 5.1 channel audio to my receiver? For the full cinematic experience, I believe good sound is fundamental, not just the image... Based on these reviews, I see people don't care for audio as most of these projectors only output stereo sound.
All I can tell you, from my own experience with my Toptro unit. I plug everything into my receiver via HDMI and then I send the signal to my projector via the HDMI out from the receiver. Because I do this, I get the 5.1 Dolby or DTS etc because everything is plugged directly into my receiver. I can even use the sound on my projector if I choose with my TV Box as the sound passes through, but the speakers on the projector are meh at best so I just always turn on my AV receiver.
I plug all my HDMI devices into my receiver then into my TV so I run my audio off my receiver not the TV. I have a Sony receiver and it's awesome! lol
50% zoom in and out is not true. You can make the picture smaller but not bigger. You can even see in the video as he flyes by the zoom in.
I bought one and it's nothing like that quality. It has to be twice as far as the demo shows to get that size screen. . And from the side its not possible to get a straight picture unless you are only slightly off centre
You have to get the screen straight and everything has to be just about perfect or perfect with every single projector for the video to look as good as it can be. I was playing 4k video this past weekend and even 8k on my 4k flex box player and looked amazing.
