Horror Mario/Mario.EXE: Horror Mario is based on a piece of artwork on Devientart created by Shadow Shana. This image is really popular and used in most EXE thumbnails with Mario. Leaving him trapped forever. I Hate You Luigi: I Hate You Luigi is based off of a creepypasta by the same name. In the creepypasta, Luigi is revealed to be working with Bowser and Mario and Luigi fight to the death. Mario ends up accidentally knocking Luigi into the lava and Luigi ends up burning alive. This is what we see in the cutscene between the songs Oh God No and I Hate You. Wario Apparition: The Wario Apparition is a SM64 legend that every copy of Mario 64 is personalized. Leading to people reporting seeing a large Wario head that chases Mario until he catches him. The endless staircase section has Wario try to hypnotize you like he does in an ad for Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins. L Is Real 2401: L Is Real is based off of an urban legend that Luigi was supposed to be playable in Mario 64 but something is preventing him from being playable, the most common mystery of why he isn't playable is that he drowned. This is what we see in his song. Side note: Luigi was found out to be playable exactly 24 years and 1 month after Super Mario 64 came out. Turmoil: Turmoil is a character who is very interesting to me. He was created by Scrubbdubb and his lore is that Mario ate a mushroom with some of Yoshi's coding in it and over time he started gaining Yoshi's characteristics like his tongue eventually turning him into what he is now. I've also heard a theory for this character that apparently he only attacks Bowser's minions and Bowser himself which is further supported by the song Last Course because in that song we play as a Galoomba, who is one of Bowser's minions. Side note: Turmoil has gotten a new design compared to the one in the mod so his lore has changed. Coronation Day Peach: Coronation Day Peach is a character from a creepypasta named the'. In the creepypasta Peach seems to be possessed by an entity hence why in the mod they refer to themselves as "the king" rather than the queen. Super Bad Mario: Super Bad Mario is an old RUclips series created by Pastekk where Mario is seen causing hilarious fails and falls. It is largely known as being super nostalgic. Luigi's Day Out: Luigi's Day Out is a RUclips animation created by HotDiggetyDemon. It is a very popular video featuring the video's version of Mario constantly trick Luigi into doing things that injure him or kill him. Like any older brother would. Secret Histories Mario: Secret Histories Mario is another RUclips animation made by Mashed, where Mario is seen as a no-remorse dictator who controls the Mushroom Kingdom. Racist Mario: Racist Mario is an animation on RUclips made by Flashgitz which features Mario killing other racers in Mario Kart because they're not Nintendo characters. Kratos comes in at the end of the song in the mod and this is a reference to the animation where Kratos ends up killing Mario at the end and winning the race. Devil Mario: Devil Mario is a villain from a flash animation series in which Mario gets possessed by Boos and is bloodthirsty and will stop at nothing to get the power stars. Luigi and Peach both die in the series hence why they appear dead in the mod. I highly recommend giving the series a watch. GB: GB is an EXE created by the creator of the mod Marco Antonio. He has his own creepypasta named Black and White where his lore is that he was created by a Nintendo Employee (who I forgot the name of in the story) and is experimented on even though GB was pleading for them to stop. GB then kills them for not listening. Side note: The creepypasta is getting a rewrite. Side side note: He was supposed to have a second and third song where he would go to newer Mario games and corrupt them. Mr. Virtual: Mr. Virtual is a character created by Stupendous Snart. He used to be a killer but died at a Nintendo convention and was trapped in a Virtual Boy. He now lingers in his Virtual Boy in the form of Mario and brain washes children into killing themselves. In the mod we see him take the form of GF and it says I'm in your head once he changes back to his normal form. This is a reference to how he psychologically tortures people in their head. Mr. L: Mr. L is from the EXE/creepypasta Too Late, created by Mr. Pixel. In the story Mario was with Luigi but Luigi was knocked into lava leading Mario to mourn his death. That is when Mario stumbles upon who seems to be Luigi but is actually the vengeful spirit of Luigi who wants to kill Mario. This is why Mario appears dead in the song Overdue. Side note: he got a REALLY popular meme named "Yo Soy Luigi" referring to these joke Spanish lyrics for the song made by KingF0X, the original composer for Mario's Madness along side Kenny L. DJ Hallyboo: DJ Hallyboo is a character created by Joey Perleoni. He appears when people pirate the game Mario Party DS and makes people write their apologies in a minigame, this is what we see happen in the song No Party. Side note: DJ Hallyboo is voiced by Juno Songs, a popular RUclipsr who makes lyrics for popular songs including FNF. MX: MX is a character who is from the game Mario 85. In the game we see a child named Lucas who appears as Luigi because he was sucked into Super Mario Bros. Much like BF and GF. As he goes through 1-1 the world starts to distort, when he makes it to the end of the level he sees what seems to be Mario before he takes on his true form of MX. MX then chases Lucas until he reaches a pipe ending the game. We see this happen in the songs PowerDown and Demise. Promotion Mario/Stanley: Stanley is an AI stuck in the body of Promotion Mario. He is from the Super Mario 64 Classified series by Greenio and is seen promoting Super Mario 64 on the fictional show Nintendo Mania!! He tells Luigi to promote the game until Luigi stumbles an underwater passage, when Luigi goes further down the passage Mario's facial expression changes to a look of sadness. Luigi then drowns in the tunnel causing a creepy version of Mario to appear on screen. We see this happen in the song Promotion. The Luigi in Abandoned: Wet Dry World Luigi is I believe another Luigi AI that drowned in Wet Dry World. We see this exact Luigi in one of the episodes of Super Mario 64 Classified as well. Costume: Costume is from Super Mario 64 Classified as well and he's this man in a Mario Costume who murders children. Side note: The image he is paired with in the series is an actual photo of two kids winning a Nintendo 64 just edited to look creepy. Ultra Mario: Ultra Mario is the final boss of this mod. He's created by Marco Antonio and kills GF and BF. He's the one who created the cartridge and sent BF and GF to his world. Omega Mario and Horror Mario are the same person. Omega Mario seems to have eyes on his hat and also seems to be based on Mario Odyssey. Ultra M is also the embodiment of all characters in Mario's Madness. This is why faintly in the instrumental of All Stars we can here other character's voices. He is simply mimicking them. Omega Mario: Omega Mario is one of Ultra Mario's minions that was sent to distract BF while Ultra Mario killed GF. He's also created by Marco Antonio. Side note: Omega acts much like a "showman" being similar to characters like Caine from The Amazing Digital Circus. W4R/LG/Y0SH: They're pretty much the exact same as Omega Mario. They were all sent to distract BF and were all created by Marco Antonio. Mr. Steal Your Soul/ Mr. SYS: Mr. SYS is from a creepy old Nintendo commercial from Australia where Mr. SYS is seen repeating You Cannot Beat Us. It was remotely taken down not long after its release. Side note: Mr. SYS actually has more than one ad. And there you have it, all of the lore for MM V2, please either pin or heart this comment, it took a LONG time to make

29:14 I don’t know if you know about this. But the rumour on why Luigi is trapped in the fountain in the song called Thalassophobia is because on super Mario 64 and on super Mario 64 DS if you zoom in on the plague (writing) that’s on the front of it will say in low quality ‘L is Real 2401’. People kept thinking that Luigi is unlockable on N64 Super Mario to where it’s become a creepypasta based all on it, however it seems to connect with Course 4 (Jolly Roger Bay) since it has that same giant eel and the sunken pirate ship in a cutscene in the song. That’s all I know of it though so no clue if I’m right or wrong.

L Is Real 2401: L Is Real is based off of an urban legend that Luigi was supposed to be playable in Mario 64 but something is preventing him from being playable, the most common mystery of why he isn't playable is that he drowned. This is what we see in his song. Side note: Luigi was found out to be playable exactly 24 years and 1 month after Super Mario 64 came out.
Turmoil: Turmoil is a character who is very interesting to me. He was created by Scrubbdubb and his lore is that Mario ate a mushroom with some of Yoshi's coding in it and over time he started gaining Yoshi's characteristics like his tongue eventually turning him into what he is now. I've also heard a theory for this character that apparently he only attacks Bowser's minions and Bowser himself which is further supported by the song Last Course because in that song we play as a Galoomba, who is one of Bowser's minions. Side note: Turmoil has gotten a new design compared to the one in the mod so his lore has changed.
Coronation Day Peach: Coronation Day Peach is a character from a creepypasta named the'. In the creepypasta Peach seems to be possessed by an entity hence why in the mod they refer to themselves as "the king" rather than the queen.
Super Bad Mario: Super Bad Mario is an old RUclips series created by Pastekk where Mario is seen causing hilarious fails and falls. It is largely known as being super nostalgic.
Luigi's Day Out: Luigi's Day Out is a RUclips animation created by HotDiggetyDemon. It is a very popular video featuring the video's version of Mario constantly trick Luigi into doing things that injure him or kill him. Like any older brother would.
Secret Histories Mario: Secret Histories Mario is another RUclips animation made by Mashed, where Mario is seen as a no-remorse dictator who controls the Mushroom Kingdom.
Racist Mario: Racist Mario is an animation on RUclips made by Flashgitz which features Mario killing other racers in Mario Kart because they're not Nintendo characters. Kratos comes in at the end of the song in the mod and this is a reference to the animation where Kratos ends up killing Mario at the end and winning the race.
Devil Mario: Devil Mario is a villain from a flash animation series in which Mario gets possessed by Boos and is bloodthirsty and will stop at nothing to get the power stars. Luigi and Peach both die in the series hence why they appear dead in the mod. I highly recommend giving the series a watch.
GB: GB is an EXE created by the creator of the mod Marco Antonio. He has his own creepypasta named Black and White where his lore is that he was created by a Nintendo Employee (who I forgot the name of in the story) and is experimented on even though GB was pleading for them to stop. GB then kills them for not listening. Side note: The creepypasta is getting a rewrite. Side side note: He was supposed to have a second and third song where he would go to newer Mario games and corrupt them.
Mr. Virtual: Mr. Virtual is a character created by Stupendous Snart. He used to be a killer but died at a Nintendo convention and was trapped in a Virtual Boy. He now lingers in his Virtual Boy in the form of Mario and brain washes children into killing themselves. In the mod we see him take the form of GF and it says I'm in your head once he changes back to his normal form. This is a reference to how he psychologically tortures people in their head.
Mr. L: Mr. L is from the EXE/creepypasta Too Late, created by Mr. Pixel. In the story Mario was with Luigi but Luigi was knocked into lava leading Mario to mourn his death. That is when Mario stumbles upon who seems to be Luigi but is actually the vengeful spirit of Luigi who wants to kill Mario. This is why Mario appears dead in the song Overdue. Side note: he got a REALLY popular meme named "Yo Soy Luigi" referring to these joke Spanish lyrics for the song made by KingF0X, the original composer for Mario's Madness along side Kenny L.
DJ Hallyboo: DJ Hallyboo is a character created by Joey Perleoni. He appears when people pirate the game Mario Party DS and makes people write their apologies in a minigame, this is what we see happen in the song No Party. Side note: DJ Hallyboo is voiced by Juno Songs, a popular RUclipsr who makes lyrics for popular songs including FNF.
MX: MX is a character who is from the game Mario 85. In the game we see a child named Lucas who appears as Luigi because he was sucked into Super Mario Bros. Much like BF and GF. As he goes through 1-1 the world starts to distort, when he makes it to the end of the level he sees what seems to be Mario before he takes on his true form of MX. MX then chases Lucas until he reaches a pipe ending the game. We see this happen in the songs PowerDown and Demise.
Promotion Mario/Stanley: Stanley is an AI stuck in the body of Promotion Mario. He is from the Super Mario 64 Classified series by Greenio and is seen promoting Super Mario 64 on the fictional show Nintendo Mania!! He tells Luigi to promote the game until Luigi stumbles an underwater passage, when Luigi goes further down the passage Mario's facial expression changes to a look of sadness. Luigi then drowns in the tunnel causing a creepy version of Mario to appear on screen. We see this happen in the song Promotion.
The Luigi in Abandoned: Wet Dry World Luigi is I believe another Luigi AI that drowned in Wet Dry World. We see this exact Luigi in one of the episodes of Super Mario 64 Classified as well.
Costume: Costume is from Super Mario 64 Classified as well and he's this man in a Mario Costume who murders children. Side note: The image he is paired with in the series is an actual photo of two kids winning a Nintendo 64 just edited to look creepy.
Ultra Mario: Ultra Mario is the final boss of this mod. He's created by Marco Antonio and kills GF and BF. He's the one who created the cartridge and sent BF and GF to his world. Omega Mario and Horror Mario are the same person. Omega Mario seems to have eyes on his hat and also seems to be based on Mario Odyssey. Ultra M is also the embodiment of all characters in Mario's Madness. This is why faintly in the instrumental of All Stars we can here other character's voices. He is simply mimicking them.
Omega Mario: Omega Mario is one of Ultra Mario's minions that was sent to distract BF while Ultra Mario killed GF. He's also created by Marco Antonio. Side note: Omega acts much like a "showman" being similar to characters like Caine from The Amazing Digital Circus.
W4R/LG/Y0SH: They're pretty much the exact same as Omega Mario. They were all sent to distract BF and were all created by Marco Antonio.
Mr. Steal Your Soul/ Mr. SYS: Mr. SYS is from a creepy old Nintendo commercial from Australia where Mr. SYS is seen repeating You Cannot Beat Us. It was remotely taken down not long after its release. Side note: Mr. SYS actually has more than one ad.
