This location originally opened as Lost Lagoon in 1993 and was included with admission to SeaWorld San Antonio but was converted into the separate admission Aquatica in 2012. Originally you had to have admission to SeaWorld to also get into Aquatica but that changed when Discovery Point opened on the left side of the property in 2016 resulting in the entrance to SeaWorld getting relocated to the right side of Aquatica's entrance rather than in front of it.
This is my favorite of the two waterparks I've currently been to in the state of Texas (the other being Six Flags Hurricane Harbor in Arlington) and also my third favorite waterpark behind the other two Aquatica waterparks in San Diego and Orlando. What I love the most about these three locations are the atmosphere of the parks, the rides and the fact that they have animals in the parks as well.
@@svigil26 Do you suggest I visit that part two days in a row because of how it's divided into two sections or do you think I could easily do both sections of that Park in one day?
@@mitchellries256 you can easily do both sections in one day because on both sides, you have enough attractions to be able to go to the second side later in the day.

(NOTE: It replaced the old WooHoo Falls water slides in 2020.) Stingray Falls: A MAMMOTH water slide made by Proslide. The raft slide featutes open and enclosed sections and brings riders into a stingray aquarium. Ihu's Breakaway Falls: 3 TurboTWISTER slides made by Proslide. 2 of the slides features the SkyBOX drop capsule while one doesn't have one. The ride got added in 2019. Before, both slides can be ridden with inner tubes, but then riders can only ride it as a body slide. Both slides got replaced by the new Tonga Twister slides.
It could be possible. I asked them if they'd go back to Splashway to film the dueling water coaster and they said yes which suggests they're going back to Texas next year. Maybe they could also come back here to film that as well as Schlitterbahn New Braunfels to film Wolfpack but that's just something for them to decide and for us to hope for.

I've been there since the summer of 2019 when I was in San Antonio for Vacation.

You haven’t been to schliterbhan before?
Not yet. But I do plan on getting to all those waterparks in the future someday, including the former one in South Padre Island.
