With his many people as watch these videos I’m beginning to think everyone in the world plays the whistle. I never knew it was so popular of an instrument. Thank you Stephanie for helping us learn and inspiring us
Thank you, Stephanie. I've never heard of this tune before, but it's a really nice one. I will say though that whoever named it must have liked figs quite a lot. 😅
This melody is awesome. Thank's so much. I'll be so happy when I could play my whistle again. You:ve me teached so much. Thank you bring me happiness. Greetings from germany🌹
Nice, simple tune, and yet another very nice performance. I prefer to play from sheet music or by ear, finding tabs difficult and awkward. But I find Stephanie's performances, reviews, hints and commentary helpful and enjoy them very much. I immediately purchased this whistle and was very disappointed. I first played a D major scale and found the whistle to indeed have a very sweet tone and to be easy to play. My heart sank, however, when I played a C natural. I understand C natural is seldom played in traditional Irish music and that many tin whistles do not play that note well. I often play in the key of G, however, so I need a good C natural. On this particular whistle, I found that note to be especially weak, airy and very out-of-tune--almost a C sharp. This whistle will stay in the drawer, but I'll remain a loyal CutiePie subscriber. Thanks, Stephanie.
It might be a case of practicing a little with the whistle. From experience I know that some whistles and players don't quite click on the first meeting, though you sound like you know your thing. You could try alternative fingering too, like half holing the top hole. The c natural seems pretty strong for me, especially for an overall quiet and sweet whistle. I have more expensive whistles that have awful c natural sounds! But...if you don't want the whistle I'm sure you'll find plenty that do! 😊 No good whistle should be left in a drawer. Get it back on eBay 😉
Excellent. Can I point out something. There should be only one note at 1:15’ where that part finishes. The same method applies to repeated sections of that part of the tune.
Excellent and beautiful tune. Added to the "one day when I'm a little better" list. It's getting quite long now though :/ one tune I would love to see a tutorial for is a tune from the series Firefly. In one episode, there's a maypole dance, where one of the characters (River) dances along. I think the tune is called "Rivers Dance" - I think it's a tune you'd like As well. :) Thankyou again for being an inspiration
Don’t ever have a “for when I’m better list” if you like a tune try and play it no matter how long it takes. Slow it down as much as you need because at the end you will be a better musician if you play tunes higher than the level your at.
I’ve had a previous comment on a older video, but I’d like to request Eluveitie’s Hope. I believe it’s their spin on Fairheaded Mary if your familiar. Great video you are really helping me learn how to play the whistle. And I’m finding the finger charts are very similar to alto sax which I believe is in E? But it’s been years since I’ve picked up a sax. But nevertheless thank you!!
Hey very Nice Tune. I didn't knew it. I Will work on it... Pfff so many tunes to work on lol. I agree with the request "the Islander" by Nightwish. And I think "I want my tears back" would be a good challenge for you Stephanie. But I know you've already got a lot of request. Thanks again for your work. PS It's done: I've got my low D 😁
Oh triple Big yes. I Saw them in Paris on november 10th: so so great & unforgetable show. Yes for the Islander... Many I Ask also "I want my tears back" it would be wonderful... And a good challenge for Stephanie if she dares 😉 Happy whistling to everyone...
The best way is to learn sections of a tune by heart so you don't need to read the tabs. When you know it, it's much easier to play quickly 😊 because your fingers get used to it then too.

The figs remind me of a fig tree we had in the yard I was a kid growing up in. The figs was so good. My mom made fig preserves. Very good on toast.
Beautiful tune, i'm gonna learn that!and thank u, for al your work to teach us!

Welsh accent: I am sure we don't mind. And honestly I didn't quite notice. :) Keep Whistling!
Lovely tutorial! And by crikey that Chis Wall whistle does sound jolly nice! Maybe Santa will bring me one if I drop enough hints at home ;)

太棒了!
What program do you use to make your tabs?
It's just a font I use in photoshop :)
At the end of the last row You play C instead of C# that You wrote.
