OMG, Carlo is adorable at the beginning of the video! And you can tell he is a home town guy from just the interactions he has with everyone in town. He is respected and liked by all it seems. And that dimple when he smiles and flirts without realizing it is what makes him him. And his English is fantastic when he is able to tell you the word in English. I think he is trying to pull a fast one. You have a keeper with him.

The fact that the miniature village stays intact, even with tourists, says something about peoples' ability to respect objects of beauty. Where we live, we can't have nice things, because they are vandalized or stolen immediately.

Non-Latin people usually mix up Italians with Spaniards, but they’re not the same. No problem, just a friendly reminder. Carlo vs Carlos, Marco vs Marcos, Stefano vs Estebán, Giorgio vs Jorge and so on.
I just found your channel two days ago when I watched the ‘how did I end up in Positano’ video. This is the third that I’ve watched, and I’ve smiled the entire time while watching all 3. Your videos make me remember why I love Italy so much, and especially the Bay of Naples and Positano areas. The people are so warm and understand the value in taking the time for small personal interactions. That this area is so amazingly beautiful and has incredible ancient ruins and museums to explore doesn’t hurt at all, of course! I returned whenever I could (every year or two) as a young-ish adult for a couple of decades. I haven’t been able to visit since the mid-nineties, but watching your videos takes me back and I thank you so very, very much. I also live in a beautiful place (sparsely inhabited area of coastal Northern California), but there’s no place like where you are for living amongst people who understand how to make the most of the small joys available to us every day, if we pay attention to them and take the time. From Salzburg In 1975 we just graduated and our class took a trip to a small village near Positano called Massalubrense. We were 20 young blondes and the first evening at our hotel at least 35 dark haired Vittorios und Giuseppes and Lellos turned up. It was a blast, best time of our lives, so far. This channel brings back all the memories and more and makes some of us considering taking a car and coming back. Maybe even this year in autumn?

I have watched quite a number of your videos, but not this one before. It is a treat to hear Carlo’s story. I had already watched the video of your story on how you arrived and stayed in Positano.
I loved it when he was talking about the surprise party and he put his arms around you.
You two are a handsome couple. Love that all you need to do is get outside and see around, take a cup of tea in someplace, dine in another. Life is hard you work hard like anyone else, and those stairs!! But you know how to enjoy yourselves, I’m learning that from your channel, cause I tend to worry and work too much and too little rest. I will change all that!

I LOVE the pricepe scenes and mini villages that Italians make! They are incredible at depicting their reality and community. It makes sense that these are the same people whose ancestors created the Renaissance art.
That was a lovely wander around town ,it’s always interesting to see Carlo stop and chat with everyone ,it amazes me when I see the donkeys working ,my friend has a house in a Spanish pueblo and it’s the same with horses and donkeys ,l love seeing the old ways .

It's so nice that the coffee shop was open for indoor seating. We're still closed everywhere in Moreno Valley California. 😞 It was nice learning about Carlo. I guess he was getting jealous of all others having their make-up done by his girl. It was his turn! BTW, you are far more bellisima than Scarlett!

This is the cutest video I've ever seen on RUclips (and I've seen a lot).
Your saying that everyone stops, and talks to Carlo reminds me of a visit we made to the little town of Villa Santa Maria where my grandparents were born. We were with a cousin that grew up there but now lived in Pescara. We asked him if he knew anyone there anymore, and he said no. But it seems that everyone we saw said Hi to him, and they started talking, just like with Carlo. We laugh about that all the time. Sadly that cousin has passed away. We will miss him. Your video makes me long for the time when we get control of this covid 19, and we can come to Italy like we planned to last year, and spend three month there, with two of those weeks being in Positano.
It was very interesting when Carlo was talking to the 90 year olds, hearing what Italy was like back in the day when they were young
