With the fullest Grace of Goddess Madurai Meenakshi only they had been chosen to participate in that legend film. I have to bow my head for those who are playing this divine tamil traditional music.

A very interesting but true story about as to how MPN brothers came to limelight. For the film Thillana Mohanambal a Nagaswaram vidwan a d Barathanatam based story, the producer wanted to pitch in a renowned Vidwan of that time to perform for the film. But the Director KPN was of other view. At that time, MPN brothers were playing Nagaswaram at Madurai Meenakshi Temple and KPN was listening to their music on his daily visit to the temple during shooting and was impressed with their rendering. He wanted them to play fir the film. But the producer was of other mind. KPN came with the idea that names of all prominent bidens of that time, including that of KPN to be written separately on a piece of paper and kept infront of goddess Meenakshi and a paper to be picked up by a girl child from the lot and the vidwan that comes on the paper will be selected for the film. To the astonishment of all, MPN name was selected not once but thrice by three different children and it was decided to select them to perform for the film and the rest is history. Happy that, they performed in one of our house marriage for three days and for Janavasam, they walked through the road from the shiva temple to the marriage house in the village.
