But someone who went hands on with the game for 6 hours is definitely going to have a different opinion than you. Moreover, people are allowed to have different opinions and don’t always need to validate yours.
Personally, I think the art style is serviceable. Likewise with the facial animations. But I’m very interested in controlling a single character in an action focused mission based game. Not every fantasy game needs to be open world like Baldurs Gate 3 or Witcher 3.
Why? because we have eyes and ears. Funny that.
People can like or dislike games and games styles. That's fair enough as is reasoned criticism. Troll-like dumb takes, not so much.
@@purefoldnz3070 What do you mean by “funny that”?
@@grahamgilmore42 its simple, this game goes against everything that made Dragon Age what it was, until the point that its basically unrecognizable. The Bioware of old has been dead and six feet under for years now.
@@purefoldnz3070 So don't play, and allow those of us to enjoy games like this to enjoy it. You look ridiculous on these comments. If you aren't going to play the game, and don't think it looks good, no problem just don't play. We don't need your 20-30 dunking comments under a video where Vic (an extremely experienced gamer) says he played the game for its first 6-7 hours and had an awesome time.

Loved the dragon age 1 game the different style of character sorrys ❤
Looking forward to this one, def a day one buy for me
Inquisition was amazing
Vic I really want to know what’s going on with Black Myth Wukong? You been really quiet about , did you get compromise? Cuz I just beat it and game is amazing, I been asking you over over for your review and you been doing everything else but black myth it’s been over a month now ,

Really? Ya'll think this is GOTY material?
Prolly won't be goty, will definitely be a contender though.
I love Mr Vic’s enthusiasm however as a big Dragon Age 1 & 3 fan and Mass Effect fan…. To me this looks like a Mobile game? With some very obvious political choices thrown in.
I miss the old BioWare here in Edmonton. Man Id love to Play a remake of Dragon Age 1! Just modern graphics.
But hey I guess well wait for reviews.
yeah, it just looks wrong on every conceivable level.
There will of course be political choices. The Tevinter Imperium has a very different governmental structure to both Ferelden and Orllais.
Maybe game of the day, or game of the week if lucky
no multiplayer 😦😦 i’ve been excited for nothing
Bioware isn't good at multiplayer games. They kept true to dragon age with not doing that
It must be a very shitty year for games if this is even going to be a GOTY contender. I'm sorry but nothing about this game looks particularly good (except hair). At most you could say its 7.5/10 game and that is if you are being very generous.
This game looks like a pool a mile wide and an inch deep 😒
hit the nail on the head, its a on rails, dumbed down and watered down and kiddiefied version of Dragon Age sprinkled in with plenty of DEI left wing politics. What could go wrong?
Game company are like politicians they lie, and people who still pre-ordered games video are no different than people who think they’re vote matters.
I have no problem with stylized animation but hearing reporter after reporter bend over backwards to say what a great thing it is just makes me gag
people have good pre-release reviews isn’t bending over backwards? it’s good reception of a game they enjoyed. there’s some who played it who disagreed. and some who liked it but had small issues. you are quite dramatic lol
@@teriyaki_chickthe man had nothing but fawning praise. It's possible that that is just how dragon age makes him feel and he's being real. But I found him very over the top and it came off as disingenuousness. For the record i think what i have seen is a very well done rendition of this art style and i'm not even against it for dragon age. I'm sure it may take an adjustment but so did swtor, and i love that game. But i get tired of hearing what sound like puff praise pieces. I've heard other very well reasoned defenses of the art style that i quite enjoyed.
This feels like one of those games that long time fans of the series will hate or not even give it a shot. But gamers who don’t know the series will enjoy it without the years of expectations and hype.

I'm hoping for Stalker 2 to win goty, but Wukong would also be deserving of the award.
Fortnite graphics in a game meant to be gory and dark and basically death themed. Well Wukong and SotE will wave at DA from the game awards

Its weird that gaming journalists are calling this the best game ever but the fans and gamers are saying the opposite. Its insanity. Do games journalist like Victor here not understand what we like about Dragon Age? Where is all of this dichotomy coming from? DA has always been about dark fantasy, not something that looks like Saints Row or Fortnite and its always been about controlling your party not just one guy like in God of War.
