- Howzit going everybody! Today I went diving with my friend Jordan to some sick reef zones. We managed to shoot some nice fish, including my biggest spectacled uhus ever. I also somehow ripped off on a small ulua! Enjoy the video 🤙🏼

Kahala, or in Japan, we call it Kampachi and it's a really buttery savory fish eaten as sashimi or sushi. It's very similar to Hamachi if you've ever had that! Awesome video man!
It’s probably fine to shoot a blue every once in a while. I was thrilled when I got my first one a few months back.

Yuppp the best kind of Kahala's to shoot are the ones 10lbs or less those are usually pretty clean🤙🏽🤙🏽

We used to just pull out da worm and smoke the kahala..oyster sauce, green onion, little bit sugar...ono!
If you cook em you can just eat the worms. Extra protein yesssah.
The worm is safe for humans, can cut it out and still good to eat as sashimi. I rather eat wild Kahala than farmed Hamachi.

Yep! that size of Rawarawa(Blue), rare indeed, we've got green and brown too. They're lovely with coconut milk because like you mentioned not an A grade. The goatfish is called Cucu (Though though) and they're good to be exchangable to each other because consuming only one type makes for doped with that type. Already a professional, and that Saqa Sanqah or trevally should have had it. Reminds of a similar case where it cleverly wiggled slowly and surely to freedom b4 I realised my error to turn the unshafted spear and hold the pointed end. Classic video which further reinforces future dives for me.

Yeah, idk if I said it in the video but the spec is just the male version of the fantail. Idk why we call um different names lol
Aim for the gill plate,shouldn't have any problems if you do.
Yeah that shot would’ve held, but I was aiming for the stone shot so that I wouldn’t bend my shaft. But looking back I definitely would’ve liked to have just landed it with a bent spear rather than leave an injured fish in the water. Thanks for watching!
