Hi Alan and Michelle great to see you both ,after a while Alan believe me you wont miss the salt. Great winter dish looks so hearty,I used to cook it years ago with neck of lamb. Wishing you both a great New Year be glad when spring is on its way,I hate this time of year,I want to be where Geoff is, bet he doesn't want to come home🥰
I am having a night out with old school mates this coming Friday and my mate who lives in London said " you are not doing a dry January are you ?? " I said at 58 years old, my Januarys are getting wetter than ever ............. 🙂
Food looked great, very warming this time of year as well. Sorry to hear you are having a bit of a rough time healthwise. Take care of yourselves and have a nice relax. Our rescue Pointer Maya is just as crazy as ever .............. 🙂 Hope Donald is fit and well.
Happy new year to you guys 🥳 sorry u ain't been been feeling to great Alan. Boring as it is we cannot get away with eating and drinking what we want as we get older mate😞thankyou for the video that's Wednesday and warm up Thursday tea sorted.beep beep 🚗....
@@pablostokes Thanks for your kindness...Im afraid you're right regarding the eating and drinking but we can only soldier on😃. We had ours over two days as well...keep smiling 😃
Cool vlog guys ,wow that is what you call comfort food. Fantastic , only problem is background music is so annoying .Feels like Iam at Blackpool fun fair in the middle of summer also audio level is to high
@@TheGreen-team We always used lamb, then mostly onions and carrots and sliced the spuds thinner so they sealed the top and got this lovely chewy crust. Perfect with pickled cabbage to cut through the lamb fat. (That was the reference to American shepherds pie since they seem to call cottage pie shepherds pie) Just a different dish, but I've no doubt both equally good to come home to. Maybe a different area? I was Bolton/Preston.
@@steveh7866 Steven you're spot on with the Lamb ingredient (unfortunately we couldn't find any diced lamb in the shops). We've always varied the thickness of our potatoes so that we get a mix of textures on top😃. I imagine every family had their own little twist, which is understandable. Shepherds/cottage pie I think is traditionally topped with mash potatoes? We're in Warrington approx 30mins from Preston😃. Hope you're keeping well and have a great 2025. If there's any other type of video cooking or other, then let us know. We're always looking for content ideas. Cheers Alan and Michelle 😃
Hi Alan n Michelle. That hot pot looked really good. Loved the way you put potatoes on top I'm going to do my like that in future. Can we have more cooking videos pls.Take care ❤

Point taken...music was meant to be quirky😃
Is that a GAA shirt Alan?
Hi Timmy, Warrington Wolves Shirt😃
Looks good...just not Lancashire hotpot. Bit like American "shepherds pie"
(And yes, I am from Lancashire)
