This a great playing and great sounding guitar. I have owned mine for over two years now and have only good things to say about it. This guitar and my FG180-50th are my two favorite acoustics. Yamaha makes great guitars.
Bought a Taylor 214 Deluxe, sounded fantastic and figured I'd learn to live with the IN YOUR FACE cheap, white PLASTIC binding, and the pale rosewood laminate. Discovered I couldn't, but was always very impressed with the sound, so tried other Taylors right up to 914 and the sound was basically no better than the 214 but was getting on for $4,000. Was happy to let the 214 go after trying out the LL16 Deluxe. The sound was easily the equivalent of every Taylor I'd tried, but the Yammie had full solid rosewood, black Ebony fretboard, full abalone and maple binding, double abalone rosette, and a neck finish I much preferred to the legendary Taylor neck. $750.00 - new. Workmanship from the Yamaha owned factory is excellent too. ONLY downside was parting company with the Taylor Expression System 2, I found it to be an excellent and discreet system.
Great demo. I like the way that the sound of the guitar keeps going, to avoid a long winded narrative. The guitar itself is superb, and anyone who has had to wait up to 10 years for tone woods like Sitka spruce to produce the best sound will appreciate the pre-aged woods.
Just got a ll 36 & 56 wow they blew me away really ,played them both for two days can’t find anything bad to say sound is close to my d45 I’m impressed.
I bought a yamaha fgx 830 c there is an active pickup system 66 equalizer, it's convenient for me, but I have a few more days to exchange the price is a little less than LL 16 ,, I want to record at home in the sound card line, so I wonder if the recorder will be better orat least it also works well as system66 on the 830
I bought this guitar because of this Spotlight. Even my litte 3 year old noticed that his guitar is something special compared to my other ones ;) Worth every penny. I really like what and how the guy is playing in this Spotlight. Could listen every day, i even downloaded the video so it wont be lost in case the video gets off someday. Ill try to play it myself, so i can listen without the talk (but even him talking about the guitar gives some strange positive vibes to the playing ;) i love it XD Would love a video of him just playing guitar.
I have 2x FGX5 on order for summer delivery. Truthfully. The look of the LL16RD is very close to being "better" in my eyes. The sound (I have not test played the FGX5) via internet is better with the FGX5. I am a retired auto mechanic. I am starting to realize I am a better "guitar tech" than a player. I need to decide on what direction to take now. I really love playing (hours per day but only a bit under 2 years in total) but modifying guitars and working with the "gear" is also so much fun. I must be able to test play my creations so for a while it must be both activities. I so wish I would have started earlier in life (I am 66.)
@OLX kidstaff I did get them. Sold the 2nd about a week ago (it was always to be sold.) I put about 80hrs on the factory strings and factory setup. Just got it back from a setup yesterday. Martin MA540 phosphor bronze "12's'" on it now (same as my Martin D16E.) Can't decide which one is better sounding/playing, so close (but a different sound for certain.). Wish I played better but I am making progress. Pretty neat to play a 1 minute riff on one then pick up the other and see how it sounds different (I always play outside through a Fishman Loudbox mini.) Both the Fishman electronics on the Martin and the Yamaha proprietary electronics are fine (every string is the same level.) I probably like the Yamaha electronics better.
2/18...yamaha , for a fair price is making some nice guitars. the bigger names are getting out of hand prices wise. i have a few yamahas and i like them.
Yes, when they can’t just mass produce a product. Red Labels were once made in Taiwan, and some folks (including myself) preferred the Taiwan made 70s red labels.

is there better than PRS A50E?
Ha! Great instrument, but that - as you say- in your face white binding, is a huge turn off for me.

Got me the same one.Mine should be at my door in Friday 08/05/2020
Congrats! Sounds like a long lead time. Who did you place your order with? I'm thinking of getting the black version..
So how is your Yamaha? Looking myself thx
Great guitar! Great playing!
I own one Yamaha guitar LL16dr sounds as good as my d45 Martin I ordered 3 more it’s a fantastic guitar.
Can you sell it to me?
cmonnnnnn
Looks like the action was set a bit to low, you can here constant buzzing, but that is adjustable
2/18...yamaha , for a fair price is making some nice guitars. the bigger names are getting out of hand prices wise. i have a few yamahas and i like them.
What is the name of this guitar with pick up version?
The Chinese made guitar is getting better and better

hi, i am making a decision between yamaha ll16 and ll16d, is the deluxe verison worth you to pay more?
Whats the difference LL16D vs LL16RD ???
What is the name of the music that is playing
What are the string action measurements? Out-of-box?
is the rattling noise something normal on acoustic guitars, cause that just sounds horrible like theres a loose string
hes strumming the fuck out of it. action is probably low as hell
And the flimsy pick doesn't help. There are much better demos of these guitars here on RUclips.
I have an old Yamaha that I bought 40 yrs ago, that plays better than some of the Martins.
Where is it made? Japan?
China
T. I. N Mateus - Crucially, a Yamaha owned factory in China. Very high standard of build and finish.
Not a bad guitar but the Ll 36 made in Japan is a lot better this one is made in China and Indonesia’ I own two 36 and two 56 love the sound .
Can you sell it to me?
This or the seagull artist mosaic
Hi! Where are made those guitars?
Yamaha's own factory in China.
LL26and36 made in YAMAHA Japan.
Does it look like he’s reading, or is it just me?
yamaha doesnt like cutaways for some reason. L series and red labels cmon.
As it should be.
Try A3M series of their.
The worst guitar I've ever plugged in.....the treble is impossible to EQ out with the SRT piezio. I bought mine from Guitar center!
this guitar sounds terrible
