You weren’t the only 1 , when she said that and saw her tear up.. my tears started to flow because even though it was real already that he’s gone, this made it really final or something😥
"you didn't think this was the end, didn't you?" and "messing with the fabric of time is dangerous" from Uma sounds suspicious 🫢 like? next arc is her villain arc again maybe? because Red and Chloe messed with the past? 🫢
I loved the movie but on a scale of 1-10 it's a 8 for me just because of the fact that certain characters I wanted to see more of like Aladdin & Jasmine because Aladdin is one of my favorite Disney characters. I also wanted to see more of the VKs too.
I was really hoping they tied in Aladdin and Jasmine more also! I’m hoping for the next one they do that with the adult Aladdin and Jasmine because it looked like they were at the principal speech.
I liked this one but it reminds me more of the books than the other movies and maybe that is why. The books that were written after the movies came out are 4 total in the series and now 5 that is based off this movie as well. This one is darker than the others and has scary parts as well unlike the original movies and I like that about it. My favorite song is Red as well it was from the moment I heard it before the movie came out and Hands Dirty is fun song as well. The tribute to Carlos makes me cry everytime seeing how we all know the actor passed away in 2019 and sso China's reaction when she cries was real and it makes it all the more touching. I do agree that it could have benifited from being a bit longer but I liked it none the less.
12:14 Or at least none that the Queen of Hearts would allow near Red. If she's the only princess then there's no other children of her own rank in wonderland.
I thought Uma aunt was going to be shapeshifted or use Cinderella voice or change into her to do the prank and that’s why Queen of Hearts hate Cinderella similar to The Little Mermaid when Ursula change into a person to steal Ariel voice or mind control on Cinderella and then on the short of Descendants called under the sea Uma shapeshifted into the little girl with the necklace. Like I thought we would see the actual dance and the actual thing and then stopped it like I expected wayyy more in my head.
Thank you so much for getting your reaction out so quickly! 🙏❤️ I've been obsessively refreshing RUclips for hours hoping someone would drop a reaction to this! I loooooved this movie! It flew by and felt like 5 minutes had passed 😂😍 definitely left me eager to learn in the next one what they might've messed up while tampering with the past 😅 I'm hopeful they'll just have to live with the consequences, though. I understand why they went back in time for this one, but I don't think the whole trilogy needs to be set in the past. In fact, I think that might be why they didn't flesh out a lot of those side characters. If we're not going back to the past again, we won't see them anymore, so it's not necessary to give them a storyline. I'm really glad it didn't contradict any of the OG trilogy stuff. Leaves the door open to tie the two together more in the future, in case any of the OGs ever want to come back ☺️🙏
I’m glad you liked it! I’m really happy that they tied in the OG films in as well. It was so cute getting a little story of what they are up to now and meeting new fresh faces!
I know it is emotional to see Cinderella and Prince Charming in Descendants: The Rise of Red for those who grew up with the '90s Cinderella TV movie. 😅😢
I think this was purposely rushed and ended abruptly because Descendants 5 seems to be already greenlit. Before Descendants 4 even came out, there was a Deadline article revealing that Descendants was having two movies in development. So, if anyone is feeling that the ending is too simple and unresolved in an unsatisfying way, then perhaps the story continues and develops in the next movie.
My mind after seeing the vision in the looking glass of Charming being told of Cinderella's execution: Red and Chloe somehow getting sent back to that future, managing to grab Charming and escape, finding Chad somewhere and taking him with them since the Queen of Hearts will be out for all of them now, finding a safe place (at least temporarily), staying there for a while while figuring out heir next plan, Charming being too grief-stricken to do anything and unable to get out of bed, Chloe trying to do everything at once because it distracts her from what happened to her mum and because of what's happening now with her dad Chad sort of panicking but in the way he did throughout the original trilogy whenever something went wrong by just sort of sitting there and asking others for help or panicking but not doing anything (though a little more desperately now because he's also grieving), Chloe finally snapping at him and telling him that no one is going to help them this time, that the one thing he's ever done for himself was decide to radically change his hair (from Descendants 1 to Descendants 2), and that the worst thing that's happened to him till now has been when Audrey locked him in the closet for a bit and that he's never really suffered or accomplished anything on his own, and that it was time for him to shut up and to help out (all said in a sort of a harsh whisper because she doesn't want Charming to hear them fighting and because she's also holding back her tears), Red sort of watching this silently, and a day or so later (with everything being sort of quiet and Chad actually helping out a bit more) we get a scene of Chloe and Chad talking about everything after Chad finds her sitting by herself and brings her out some tea (because he burned the hot chocolate but was able to figure out how to make tea with a teabag), and then for the next morning for them to wake up because Charming's finally been able to get himself out of bed and made breakfast for them, leading to him telling a story about when Ella taught him how to do it one time and to apologise to his children for leaving them to take care of themselves when they needed him.
I just hope that in the fifth they explore Red and Chloe the butterfly effect that they caused because they changed the story drastically both for good and bad, now if the queen of ocrazones is good does that mean that she accepts the deal to join Auradon? If, Cinderella and the queen of hearts they remained friends until adulthood, possibly Red and Chloe grew up together as “childhood friends” 🤔🤔🤔, many questions I hope are resolved in 5, what I liked about the plot is that it was darker, they played it Well, you don't see it graphically but you do understand that the Queen of Hearts killed Cinderella 🫣🫣
I def feel this was kind of rushed and i didnt like the ending cuz if red changed her mom then red should have turned out different and uma did say there are consequences when you mess with time and asked u didnt think tht was the end so it most def gonna be a 5
Rita eat the scenes she was in and I got to say I fell inlove with her queen of hearts. I haven't seen Rita since the Fifty Shades movies so this ws fire
Im so glad that everyone agreed that the movie didn't end the way they thought It would. LIke I'm lowkey pissed at the fact that we didn't get to see the dance at all considering how many times they talk about it. We even got a song that would have played during the dance (shuffle of love) if I remember correctly Bridget was going to perform, and probably sing the song too. Like why all that build up for the dance when we never get to see it. Also thought that maybe they had to go back cus maybe they made things worse. But I guess that's what the second movie will be. LIKE MAYBE BECAUSE they didn't do the prank, Ella and Charming didn't end up together because Ella was occupied talking with bridget the whole time.
What if in the second movie fairy god mother goes back in time with them and they recreate the iconic Cinderella scene because she would be her Fairy god mother since the kid version would be too young
Better ending: the queen of hearts did change but when Cinderella turns around she has no idea who her daughter was because since the prank never happened Cinderella didn’t meet the prince the same way. Then let that be the cliffhanger.
I quite enjoyed this film! The songs were bangers, the story was unique, and the actors were amazing in their respective roles!!! I do agree that the ending was anticlimactic, but I strongly believe that all that will be explored in the next film!!! Similar to the Back To The Future trilogy, there are some unanswered questions such as that if a VK can’t open the cookbook but an AK can. Also take into account that Morgie was the only one not frozen; it’s possible he found a way to break the gang out or manipulated Ella or Bridget or someone else to open the cookbook and still pulled the prank. We’ll just have to as only time will tell. 👑🥀⚔️⏱️🧁😇😈💔🖤🩵💛💖
I actually kinda liked this movie. I just kinda wish at the end that it didn’t wrap up so quickly, I thought they were going to go visit the ball, seeing how it will play out, instead of automatically going back home. Also, I lowkey thought it was Cinderella who turned her. Just from how the queen of hearts phrased the incident when Cinderella brought it up. Like if Merlin put a spell so it doesn’t fall to the wrong hands, then how is it that the queen of hearts got turned into a monster? Did the vks not get frozen in the original time line? Like did they ever explain that? Because the vks clearly did not know about the spell. There could have also been a sub plot of how black and white things are where Merlin only put the spell to prevent the vks but not the princesses to kinda show that even though they are equal in this school. Theres still some underlying stigma with vks. But then this notion gets thrown out because it was a princess that actually did it and not a vk. And then Chloe has to deal with the turmoil of how her mom isn’t as perfect as she once viewed her. And the reason why the queen of hearts got turned evil was not because she got turned into a monster per se but that the only person that she considered a friend betrayed her. Because she can handle if a stranger did it, thats why she stayed positive but if its her friend? Like that hurts more than anyone could know.
@@stellamariefanboy.6768 I totally agree in that I thought it was going to be Cinderella who played a hand Bridget turning into a monster. And that is such a good point, if they got caught by Merlin and were frozen then it must be someone else who turned her! So maybe they do go into that in the fifth movie.
The movie is quite good, but I feel like the ending looks like the middle of the movie instead of being the ending. Like... it felt incomplete, in my opinion. I thought the final climax would be in the ball, not way before it. So my guess is that Red and Chloe affected the fabric of time with their actions, and will need to go back to fix it somehow.
I liked the movie I just wish they showed more of the dance and the prank and stuff but besides that I’d rate the movie 8/10 lowering 2 point for the plot holes and rushed endings.
I loved Descendants: rise of red movie was awesome and amazing and cool movie and I love soundtrack and awesome amazing and cool and I love descendants 5 movie and it would be awesome and amazing cool
The movie was good. I don't think it gave off the same vibes as Descendants 1 2 and 3, obviously because its a different cast and director. It's also obviously more modern and looks higher quality. I didn't care for some of the music because I feel like either they were rapping or some of the singing sounded really autotuned, kinda hard for me to hear what they were saying. I liked the "Love Ain't It" song snd "Hands Dirty". Although i feel like "Love Ain't It" was such a big song and it came not long after "Red" which was also a big song. I liked the people of Auradon singing in "Love Ain't It". I was really hoping we'd get a Castlecoming scene. My favorite scene was definitely when we met Chloe, Cinderella, and Charming, so I wish we could've seen more Cinderella and Charming. I also really liked seeing all of the VKs and that song, and REALLY liked the "call us Jaladdin" lol. I think the movie was a bit quick. It was an hour and 34 minutes where as the others were an hour and 50 something. I REALLY liked that they mentioned the old cast. I literally cried at Carlos. And I was happy they mentioned Chad because I didn't think they would. I also really liked Maddox Hatter. I wish we could've seen more of what was going on in Auradon while they were there because there had to be something going on. Like I said it was very modern day compared to the others and this new generation will probably love it and it'll become their Descendants.
I just wanted to find out who ACTUALLY did the prank on Bridget. We can make the conclusion that in BOTH timelines, Uliana and her friends would’ve been frozen by the spell books safeguard so they couldn’t possibly have done the prank. Someone “good” took the book, but they were stopped by Red and Chloe without the girls even realizing. And if the present was changed, that means the reason leads back to them keeping the book from being taken by this mysterious “good” person.
i agree with the abrupt ending. the last act felt like we were still in act2. i had the same reaction as you "we only have 7 minutes left) this movie felt like they were just tailing on the success of the og trilogy but just setting up new characters. but even then i dont think any character actually got an in depth arc or development. plus the continuity from the og trilogy falls apart in several instances if you spend more than 2 minutes thinking about it. in addition to that, the costumes were giving cartoon. the styling was one of the strongest aspect of the trilogy because it was edgy/elegant but still felt like real teenager outfits that even we could pull off irl. i also really didnt like any of the songs except "red". all the rapping felt too forcee (like they were trying to recreate the hype of "it's going down" or "queen of mean" and failed imo.) plus no hate but malia's acting bothered me in a lot of scenes (i was actually expecting to be bugged by kylie's acting but she pulled it off well) i really dont wanna sound like a complaint box but this movie disappointed me even when i went into it expecting to be disappointed. the og series had the aspect of deep friendship, found family, nature vs nurture, the magic of the cartoon princesses/princes coming to life, the relatability of teenage struggles, the charm of lived in sets cause cgi wasnt all that and i could keep going. this felt so shallow amd weird and theres was nothing that i could latch onto in terms of "omg i love this aspect" yk.... (i will say tho rita ora slaytyed) the ONLY thing this movie has going on for itself was the cgi and budget.
I found a bit of an error in the movie. Toward the end when the pirate bully girl went into the office to take the book and found the girls had taken care of all the traps and took the book than froze when opening it. A plot hole in that is somehow she succeeded, but how? Being she is the wrong hands to have it or open it, and all her friends are also the wrong hands, who opened this book for her in order to get the needed recipe for her to change Reds life to bad?
I watch this movie before I watch this video bc I like watching movies before I watch someone reaction bc I like watching the whole entire movie and 2nd reason is bc I watch it before this video came out
I legit said after watching that if they added 20 more minutes the movie would have been perfect. The ending was the only thing I didn’t like. Someone said it felt like they ran out of script and that’s the best way to explain it. Like one or two more songs and a few more scenes would have made it. The only thing that saved it for me was Uma saying that there is more to the story. I understand that it’s a new generation and I definitely left the old Descendants behind for this movie but the other movies had stronger endings. I also agree about the music. Loved the music but the way they were filmed felt like going into a music video and it kinda took me out of the movie. I also don’t like how they took out Red’s version of What’s My Name. That was disappointing.
I thought the ending was seriously abrupt and anticlimactic. I didn't like that ending, but I'm kinda hoping there'll be more parts, because if not, it feels like an abridged version of a story.
Did anyone else think that in the next part (that hasn't been made yet) "Get Your Hands Dirty" might come back to bite Chloe in the butt.... like Ella really *did* do something with the prank or some-such, even if Uliana is the one who *started it?* And she sings some kind of reprise about "shades of gray" and getting her hands dirty, only to reveal that she's 1. Working with the villains intentionally for some reason, or.... 2. Tricked into giving Bridget the laced cupcake, because the villains either threaten her with *worse* for Bridget, or pretend to be extending an olive branch? Personally I think the former would fit better with the whole "shades of gray" thing.... What do you guys think? Am I just itching for old-school Disney, and being a bit too ambitious with the new stuff, or is there real potential for a Wonderland-level crazy plot twist?
The ending didn’t feel right. Like, the whole time, I thought it was Ella who pranked her, you can tell at the beginning in the present. And they didn’t even go to castlecoming, so we have no idea. It ended too quickly, and there should have been more, but we shouldn’t think this is the end of the story. I didn’t really care for the song genre as much, some of it was cool but still not my taste. But I am a fan of time travel, and getting to see the younger villians and royalty was fun
Well we never actually found out who pranked Bridget. So your theory could be correct still. We just know for a fact, Uliana and her friends in BOTH timelines would’ve been frozen by the safeguard of the spell book making them incapable of doing the prank. The only reason the prank didn’t happen was due to Chloe and Red unknowingly stopping the ACTUAL scene prankster from accessing the book. And we can infer that the prankster had to have been a “good” person, because they are the only ones that could open the book.
no Merlin fixed them but the next movie could be the revenge plot when all of them find something to take them into the real world or the adult versions of the villains re-unite for revenge knowing this happened
Btw you skip lots of the songs what i mean is you skip most of the songs parts i have a yt ch i reaction to descendants song and i didn't skip that much at all and I didn't get copyright RUclips is werid
I really wanted to like this film because I really enjoyed the previous three but I was very disappointed. 🙁😣 The costumes weren't great, the songs weren't as rememberable as the previous three films and the movie didn't have a proper ending; it didn't even feel like it ended! 😡 Where's the big climax, what made the Queen of Hearts evil, where are the love interests and (based on the "ending") what's Uma planning!? 🤔😣😡 2/5 👎👎

@@memphissings424 happy birthday!
@@jessiedobbiereactions thank you
I liked the movie I just wish they showed more of the dance and the prank and stuff but besides that I’d rate the movie 8/10 lowering 2 point for the plot holes and rushed endings.
I loved Descendants: rise of red movie was awesome and amazing and cool movie and I love soundtrack and awesome amazing and cool and I love descendants 5 movie and it would be awesome and amazing cool
Agreed!
They're going to save everything they seemingly missed for Part 2.
Please tell me the ending was just to set up a part two! 'Cause I thought the ending was gonna exactly what you said!
Looking forward to seeing this movie loved the first three movies 😊
So the reason why they made it shorter and it ended like how it ended is because that's just part 1 of it.☺️😍
The movie was good.
It felt short but i liked it
I just wanted to find out who ACTUALLY did the prank on Bridget.
I’m glad there is a sequel planned, because it did end too fast. I wonder if Ella or Uma will turn out to be the villains in the next one
Not me going to do the first dance song on tiktok at all. haha.
I liked it although at times I was bored watching it but than it got better so overall it was fun
i agree with the abrupt ending. the last act felt like we were still in act2. i had the same reaction as you "we only have 7 minutes left) this movie felt like they were just tailing on the success of the og trilogy but just setting up new characters. but even then i dont think any character actually got an in depth arc or development. plus the continuity from the og trilogy falls apart in several instances if you spend more than 2 minutes thinking about it. in addition to that, the costumes were giving cartoon. the styling was one of the strongest aspect of the trilogy because it was edgy/elegant but still felt like real teenager outfits that even we could pull off irl. i also really didnt like any of the songs except "red". all the rapping felt too forcee (like they were trying to recreate the hype of "it's going down" or "queen of mean" and failed imo.) plus no hate but malia's acting bothered me in a lot of scenes (i was actually expecting to be bugged by kylie's acting but she pulled it off well) i really dont wanna sound like a complaint box but this movie disappointed me even when i went into it expecting to be disappointed. the og series had the aspect of deep friendship, found family, nature vs nurture, the magic of the cartoon princesses/princes coming to life, the relatability of teenage struggles, the charm of lived in sets cause cgi wasnt all that and i could keep going. this felt so shallow amd weird and theres was nothing that i could latch onto in terms of "omg i love this aspect" yk.... (i will say tho rita ora slaytyed)
the ONLY thing this movie has going on for itself was the cgi and budget.
rita ora has it going on for a villian
I am a math person too also science person
I found a bit of an error in the movie.
Toward the end when the pirate bully girl went into the office to take the book and found the girls had taken care of all the traps and took the book than froze when opening it. A plot hole in that is somehow she succeeded, but how? Being she is the wrong hands to have it or open it, and all her friends are also the wrong hands, who opened this book for her in order to get the needed recipe for her to change Reds life to bad?
I watch this movie before I watch this video bc I like watching movies before I watch someone reaction bc I like watching the whole entire movie and 2nd reason is bc I watch it before this video came out
I like watching the movie before I watch reactors too!

Did anyone else think that in the next part (that hasn't been made yet) "Get Your Hands Dirty" might come back to bite Chloe in the butt.... like Ella really *did* do something with the prank or some-such, even if Uliana is the one who *started it?* And she sings some kind of reprise about "shades of gray" and getting her hands dirty, only to reveal that she's
Am I just itching for old-school Disney, and being a bit too ambitious with the new stuff, or is there real potential for a Wonderland-level crazy plot twist?
l also think that it ended weirdly
The spit in the bug or monster looks like orange juice 🥤
Make an full movie part but in the middle it has an Disney add
The ending didn’t feel right. Like, the whole time, I thought it was Ella who pranked her, you can tell at the beginning in the present. And they didn’t even go to castlecoming, so we have no idea. It ended too quickly, and there should have been more, but we shouldn’t think this is the end of the story.
I didn’t really care for the song genre as much, some of it was cool but still not my taste. But I am a fan of time travel, and getting to see the younger villians and royalty was fun
It’s a two parter
Well we never actually found out who pranked Bridget. So your theory could be correct still. We just know for a fact, Uliana and her friends in BOTH timelines would’ve been frozen by the safeguard of the spell book making them incapable of doing the prank. The only reason the prank didn’t happen was due to Chloe and Red unknowingly stopping the ACTUAL scene prankster from accessing the book. And we can infer that the prankster had to have been a “good” person, because they are the only ones that could open the book.
This is half the story there’s 2 parts
Wish u would have pirated for 🇵🇸 but whatever
My mom's name is Sarah
Red
Also, did they forget Chad (Cinderella's son)?
That from the previous they different
Need to be 2 hours
Definitely think it needed a bit more!
Two parter
Do you know her name is Kaylee
Vilains frozen forever?
I’m guessing Merlin fixed them
no Merlin fixed them but the next movie could be the revenge plot when all of them find something to take them into the real world or the adult versions of the villains re-unite for revenge knowing this happened
@@jonathancurtis6522 and Mal?
@@ΤακηςΞυπολιτακος Mal isn’t returning at all it was discussed in the movie that her and the king are on a new journey

The movie wasn't bad I just miss the old crew and Cameron ofc it was kinda boring negl seeing that the while movie was back in the past
First 🎉❤
I really wanted to like this film because I really enjoyed the previous three but I was very disappointed. 🤔😣😡 2/5 👎👎
Why are you comparing one movie to an entire trilogy maybe you should wait for this story to get a few more movies first
The big climax is in the next movie seeing as it’s a two part story
@@madnessarcade7447 It wasn't advertised as a two parter and even if so, they should've at least had the ball scene with a movie #1 climax.
