This has a lot of potential. Especially in this WFH era. This enables the managers to monitor their employees. They can livestream. Paircoding will be a breeze. I think you've hit a jackpot

This is possibly the best thing to ever be made, the quality is unbelievable, the amount of effort that clearly went into this. It's creativity at it's finest, I did not believe that humans could make something so beautiful. Yet, here, it's been done. It's the greatest thing I think ive ever seen, it's just beautiful. For some strange reason, I find myself thinking back to this awesome feature. It's circular outline, the wonderful gif, and how it would feel inside of me. I have yet to feel an attraction to something the way I feel attracted to this piece of art.

Searched the extension, saw it had 700 installs. Without much delay, installed the extension. Saw that the install count got revised to 1200+. Benawad ppl are eager to sip your greatness and humor.

Not gonna lie, this is a fun thing. I kinda like looking into other people's code, and videos allow others to also capture a part of their thought process. Great job!
This is pretty great, but it needs some work to ensure it can't be abused. As I'm writing this there's a porn GIF uploaded with your name and photo in the last couple of stories, not really safe for work.

Looking at the API, you just get whatever is being send to it and upload it. I think the approach should be more similar to how Vim handles macros maybe, so you get the raw data of what the user is recording and generate the GIF server side. At worst you'll have some nasty language or ASCII art, but still much better.
Or as an initial mitigation option, allow reporting / blocking content, but if you can avoid content moderation that's even better, because you'll have a very hard time scaling otherwise.
Need a feature to verify your account with email, and check that users aren't dupes.
Actually the recording should be only for within the vscode editor windows, but then again you can see photos so people will abuse it no matter what. Great idea but without moderation is pretty much dead in the water

Turns out it doesn't work if u try to use when using vscode from WSL. When I open from windows folder it worked properly
Stories are becoming common in every platform and definitely developers also need to showcase their story.
