This is perfect. I was looking the other day for an explanation of the lower four button on this model and it was damn near impossible to find info. Thank you.

i bought an A 606-TR back in March, and im still in the process of repairing it. Im very excited to get it working, considering it hasn't been functional since i bought it. It's currently a $600 paper weight...

Great video, Yes i think this is a later model transistor version that has a lot more multitap features than the early tube models

depends. fully restored, rewired ones will generally fetch upwards of $1500-$2000 (maybe more). others that need rewiring will go for around $1K or below. but it depends, the green/yellow tube models tend to go for a little more than ones like mine.

I like this better than a tape echoplex, Wish I had one of these.

Very nice explanation and demonstration. I'm able to recreate these tones quite effectively in the Fractal Axe-FX Ultra (with no hiss or parts to maintain either ;-)

Catalinbread is said to be coming out with a unit based on the sound of one these.

I have an echorec em6 that I am in the process of bringing back to life. The mixer portion of the unit is passing signal with minimal noise. I am unable to get the echo to work. I looked online for a schematic but there isn't a lot of info on the EM6.

You can do anything with digital effects. The only thing warm about this unit is the warmth you build up toting it around. But what the hell. have FUN.

You obviously haven't tried one of these units in good working condition.
But,the echorec2 T7E is the holy grail tone. Used by Pink floyd (It has 6 tubes.)
Dawner prince: boonar comes close, but still cannot compare to the real thing.
I know, because I got one, in mint condition. It sounds HUGE!

The Echo in Pink Floyd was put in by Barrett, and it gave TPATGOD that sound that was never again archieved by the Post-Syd Pink Floyd with the exception of Atom Heart Mother and Echoes.
It's not just the echo, is the whole composition based on it.
    And wtf is "eccho" LOL.

Barrett is the god behind echo... Gilmour just kept doing what Syd started.
