I love how Moon will just drop his "catch Gregory" objective to clean up a mess. Like, you can't just punish bad kids in a pigsty. Everything needs to be neat, precise, and in order.
My theory is that Moon has OCD, while Sun just wants to make sure nobody trips and harms themselves while playing so he cleans it up

I absolutely love how chaotic Sun is. Like, Sun is the "good guy" and is there to have fun with you! But he's way overly excited about it. "We can drink Fizzy-Faz until our heads exPLODE!!!" I'm just loving his medium crackhead energy.

I think moon wasn't supposed to act this agressive, he's supposed to make sure everyone is asleep and if a kid is stubborn and doesn't sleep he "punishes" them by taking them out of the daycare, poor moon tho, he's under the glitchtrap influence.
Actually the way moondrop punishes is just tickles, that’s why he does that to gregory on his jumpscare, but this time bc of burntrap (yeah that’s his new name) he kills you after that

I think it’s kinda cute how they clean up the cans, particularly Moon because he’s this terrifying thing that is out to punish bad kids, and yet when he stacks the cans he’s so precise and quiet about it.

Honestly I find it adorable the way he cleans up. He's looks like he's thinking "Okay this one goes here.. And that one goes up there" IT'S CUTE LOL
They both clean up the same but I like how moon still does that little dance walk thing he does while thinking which one is which
He goes like he is tiptoeing, so that if someone is sleeping, he doesn't awake him.
You can see that Moondrop has a more smoother animation than Sundrop, so its not really the same

An interesting theory I’ve seen is that Moon is supposed to double as a security measure against burglars, which is why he silently roams the building when the lights are off and is just genuinely creepy despite him supposed to be around kids
I agree with this to the extent of usual circumstances, since he attacks Gregory (instead of it just being intruders, I guess it’s kids too if they’re not asleep?)

My theory is that he only attacks people who aren't registered on the guest or staff list, Freddy tells us that Gregory isn't on the guest list so it makes sense plus it was like 2AM and he wasn't supposed to be up so Moon is doing his job, just a lil too aggressively.

Fun fact: sunrise has bells on his hands so blind children know where he is and that's canon which I love so much 💕💕
Another fact: the reason both Sundrop and Moondrop have more human hands than other animatronics is so that they're able to communicate with deaf children through sign language. This, along with the bells for blind children, just makes me love Sundrop and Moondrop even more than I already do- 💕

I love how with Moon, he's so quiet you can hear his gears clicking, and for me (I'm a huge robot nerd) it sounds like him processing what to do 😭💕
What I love about Sunrise cleaning up messes is the fact that he worries about making a mess despite being aware he's in a daycare for toddlers, the place where you're supposed to play and have fun, so there's bound to messes made in this area. And yet he makes such a big deal out of that, which makes me think that Sunrise is teaching the little children the importance of cleaning up your own messes after having fun which is really cute.

Moon drop is mostly supposed to be quiet and perceive with what he's doing to make sure the kids are asleep, while Sundrop just does it sloppy and fast to make sure kids are entertained. loved Sundrops clean up tho

He normally is one of the good guys. All the animatronics are. However, they're all being mind controlled by the influence of Afton's Glitchtrap. The only one who was strong enough mentally to suppress that was Freddy.

I understand why some think there would be a lack of jumpscares and the story would be a lot more boring staying in the daycare, but I feel like there’d be potential for interesting things to happen.
Like if Gregory tells Freddy that he feels like it would be safer to stay in the daycare and Freddy agrees and comes to the daycare to keep watch over Greg and Sun/Moon; then you’re allowed to explore the daycare or play with Sun or explore his room. Then when Vanny shows up Freddy would hide Gregory and ask Sun to distract but something would go wrong and Sun/Moon would get corrupted somehow and point out Freddy and Gregory’s hiding place and THEN the story could progress from there? Idk I just wish we had more interactions with Sun in the game
Absolutely love how they both actually clean messes with individual animations.
You can tell Sunrise is more sloppy and just wanting to entertain more while Moondrop is more precise because he's trying to be the one to normally make sure everybody is taking a nap.

Unpopular opinion: Gregory was perfectly safe and ok to stay with Sun until 6 am. Sun most likely would've protected him against everyone else, although Freddy was more caring and thoughtful of what Gregory desired than Sun. Yes it would've been annoying to stay with Sun and be forced to play, but it was undeniably the safest option, apart from staying trapped in Freddy's chest cavity and doing fuck all until 6 am as Freddy recharged the entire time
It would be my happiest day if we got a secret ending for staying in the daycare with Sunman and going to sleep when the lights go out like he tells us. Then when we wake up Sunman just gives us free upgrades instead of stealthing past the Moonman.
Sun seems to really actually care about the children too so he'd probably hide him from Vanessa. Moon only came when you manually shut off the power anyways.

I think the original purpose behind Moondrop is that he's a security measure to protect children taking a nap in the daycare. Considering Freddy Fazbear's history with children, having him around protecting them is vital. Sunrise was made more to entertain children, but he definitely has some programming that tells him to keep an eye on every child and make sure they don't go anywhere. Moondrop's there to ensure the children stay in one place and nobody tries to hurt them during naptime. Both of them still have that original protocol to keep the children under surveillance, and keep the daycare nice and tidy, presumably so children won't get hurt playing. Vanny screwed with that former aspect of their programming, she cranked it up to eleven. That's why Sunrise constantly hovers over us and picks us up. He can't hurt us, but he CAN'T leave us alone unless we override his protocol with the programming to clean up the daycare and make sure everything's tidy. Moondrop, on the other hand, CAN hurt us, because he's an actual security measure. If he thinks you're a threat to the daycare, then you're screwed if he spots you. But again, the override still applies. He has to keep the daycare tidy so the children don't get hurt, even if there ISN'T any children there.

@@Thispersonisreal The jumpscares are pretty whack in this game, but we saw what Moondrop did with Freddy. He isn't 'good' in this. My guess is that, when Moondrop catches you, even though he registers you as a child (because Sunrise does) He'd probably end up taking you to security, not back to the daycare, because you're not a *registered* child. You're an intruder, so his protocol would tell him to take you to security, where Vanny is likely waiting.

I believe that Moondrop is the more aggressive persona simply because Glitchtrap/Vanny felt he was the most useful. Most of the superplex being in night mode, Sundrop would naturally stay in his area due to his programming parameters while Moondrop is programmed to chase and retrieve naughty children missing from the daycare.
I love how they both get mad when the toy things get knocked over meanwhile there’s a chair knocked over he just walks past and doesn’t bother to pick it up
Sun goes crazy over 3 stacked toys because it’s a ‘mess’ but he doesn’t clean up those 2 chairs that are fallen over in the background

@@danteloyal8014 As someone who mods and has seen similar things before. It appears Moon simply didn't dock correctly when approaching the cans (docking slightly to close to the cans). Making the animation look a bit off. This happens sometimes in older and newer games.
I'm sure if the creator recording this did it again with a different set it would've looked like how it's suppose to.
It’s been pushed back like 3 times, so *most* things were likely added and fixed.
Funny enough someone complained that they should’ve pushed back SB even more, like we would’ve lost the hype by then if it was just over and over and over.
This was unnecessarily wholesome😭 sundrop just wants the best for the kids and it shows even through moondrops need to clean up🥺🥺

Ya, I like Sun and Moon most out of all the animatronics, Moon coming out during nap time and flying around the daycare to look after the children and coax anyone awake back to sleep. Only after the plex closes would he become more hostile and creepy to ward off would-be intruders to take them to a potential holding area and alert the night guard or authorities directly

I just got into fnaf, I knew about it since I was young but never got into it and for some reason now I’m so interested in it’s lore and the game itself. Might not play it cause those jumpscares and having to be on your toes would stress me out but I have been thoroughly enjoying watching Others play and learning about the franchise itself.
On a side note I think so far sun is my favorite, his energy has me laughing 😂 I love his movement he does when he’s just standing there and like someone else said that emphasis he does when he said “we can drink fizzyfaz till our heads exPLODE!” Made me like him so much more 😂 That crackhead energy is my favorite lmao.

I feel like, Sun is the one who plays with the children and teaches them, and make sure they're all there until their parents come back.
And Moon is the one who reads the children bed time stories, play around in the air to distract them and make them giggle, and watches over them while they're sleeping.
They're creepy as hell but I like thinking about that.
In a sense, they _are_ still doing their job, they've just been kicked into overdrive.

You know this reminds me of some robots I read about in a book that were intended to stack blocks after they fell as they were before however the robots did not understand gravity so they kept trying to put the top block at the top but it kept falling leading to a infinite cycle.
while the sun simply takes 2 mini seconds to remember which was the top and the bottom, the moon takes 12 seconds to reason.

Something I noticed is that Kellen Goff likes to play as characters who have split personalities like Sun/Moon and Doppio/Diavolo.
I suppose you could count Funtime Freddy as a split personality, even though him and Bon Bon are separate characters.
Glamrock Freddy too, although his alternate personality ( that you’d expect out of him because he’s-a Freddy Fazbearino he likes capturing and eating nightguards wait what ) only comes out when battery life dead.
I do gotta say I love the attention to detail that they actually put the things back one at a time, usually in a game they’d just stand there for a while and it would automatically fix itself

Well, it makes sense for Moon since it gives you time to get away.

I absolutely love the attention to detail between the two
Sun is just sloppy, carefree, and joyful because he’s the one keeping the kids entertained. All about the fun!
While Moon is more quiet, careful, and chill so that the kids can stay asleep, also serving as a guardian to the kids.

LOL! If Sun didn't stop himself from skipping onto Gregory, the boy would have been shoved to the floor! And Moon's slow creeping towards Gregory is funny! I guess it's like imagining a crab walking forwards instead of sideways!
I love how they made sun intentionally loud and energetic so kids know where he is, but moon is intentionally quiet and sneaky so the children can nap peacefully (also I think moon is another security measure hence why he attacks Greg)
