SUMMER LAKE TROUT JIGGING with White Tubes - Late July 2022

  • Trying white tubes out at the lake trout spot up at the fish camp in western Quebec. I have been jigging with worms for a few years but wanted to try something new. White tubes have become very popular so I decided to give them a shot. I used a 4 inch white tube with a 3/8ths jig. Later I switched to a 1/2 ounce jig in windier weather. Over all I have to say the white tube performed well and produced several hits and caught lots of fish.

That’s awesome. I fished some tubes for the first time this last winter. I actually wouldn’t mind trying this for some Lakers this open water season. Thanks for the encouraging vid!

Happy you like it. I'm looking forward to going back for more midsummer jigging myself. If you find a school, watch for bigger Mark's underneath. Large lakers hunt the school sometimes

I usually jig with silverish swim jigs, but I might have to try white tube baits after seeing your video!

Loved the vid man! Can't wait for spring so I can try for lakers again. Last summer was the first time I went for them, and it's all I think about these days.

I find them very shallow in may. But in the summer it's fun to jig off main lake points in deep water.

@@WindyShorez Yeah it's tough without electronics, but I'll go into it with nautical maps so I'll have sense of whats below me. My inlaws have a spot at Adams, and it's huge and deep so really hard. But I have had some really nice bows in spring so it's always awesome for that. And if I get skunked I just throw ned rigs from the dock and pick up some big ugly pikeminnow

Stick to main lake points if there are any around. Ones that go very deep. That's where I have luck
