Keep in mind we live in a world where the most watched "news" anchor in the country went on a TEAR because the green M&M wasn't going to be sexy enough for him anymore.
I don't hear these arguments when talking about Jack Black or John Goodman(before the weight loss). "He's fat and ugly and nobody wants to see him in movies". These actors are mostly loved.
@@quadrygrace94 You don't even have to point out those that were over weight. Steve Buscemi, Robin Williams, Adam Sandler, Michael Cera, etc. Many actors were not eye candy or Brad Pitt.

But the vitriol really is because they feel almost assaulted (sounds like) if they don't see walking flesh lights 🤷🏾♀️.
Absolutely, you can lump the Critical Drinker and Nerdroctic right in with this dude. They all have that underlying between lines of sexism and racism in their rants but try their best to cleverly disguise it while saying the stuff they think people want to hear.

John Connor did not tell his mom to "shut up". He literally said, "Mom...Mom...Mom! We need to be a little more constructive here, okay? We still have to stop this from happening, don't we?" Sarah had just tried to murder a man who had not yet done anything wrong, because her fear and anger convinced her such destruction was noble and necessary. She had not considered that Miles Dyson was also a victim of circumstance. He was a man of science who thought he was doing good. Cyberdyne intentionally kept Miles and others like him in the dark about his work's more dangerous and destructive potential. By that point in the film, Sarah had come to appreciate and trust John's perspective on things. After all, he was meant to become a "great, military leader", a representation of all the good parts of her and Kyle. The one, good thing that resulted from the chaos that Sarah had been enduring for years. Birdman is right. If T2 came out today, these people would tear it to shreds. Sarah's introductory scene of building muscle would probably get her accused of being Trans, or something. She'd be called a bitch for bossing the Terminator around (even for telling her son, her literal child what to do). They'd hate the scene where Sarah uses a pump-action shotgun one-handed against the T-1000, because "women aren't strong enough" due to bone density or some shit. :)

Sometimes it is actually warranted. Disney *is* an example of a company virtue-signaling with vaguely progressive politics while not being progressive. However, right-wing ideology--as a natural consequence of being anti-progressive--fails to actually give insightful critique on corporate pandering and pseudo-progressivism
I mean, the usual grifters are currently doing the same thing with Angela in the Silent Hill 2 remake. You know, Angela. The 19-year-old whose story arc is about trying to cope with the trauma of being molested by her father. She's not hot enough, and it's a problem for these weirdos, apparently. 🤮

These adults were the kids who were allowed to tell their parents to shut up and not handled appropriately. They grow up and have no compassion, empathy or respect for others.

People need to focus on the actual story and the “politics” that are in the movies. It’s a byproduct of them letting politics become their entire personality, which makes a poor personality.
@@darkstarplays6315 Exactly. Sometimes the politics are important to the story, but we should discuss their role in enhancing the themes and narrative. In Barbie, it ties into Barbie discovering her personhood. As long as it’s done well, I don’t really care what the politics actually are. The 1962 adaptation of TKAM focuses a lot more on race, but it does so because it places Atticus and his conflict with society as the focus. And I could go on. This man is why we had English teachers teaching us to analyse quotes from old novels and poems. He seems to possess no media literacy whatsoever. Edit, also, he is incredibly creepy. Like, talk about your preferences all you like, I guess, but… eugh.
I'm an English teacher and I can confirm that we use videos like the one Birdman is ripping apart in order to teach about rhetoric and ethical reading strategies. You'd be surprised how media illiterate some young people are because they depend on people like this guy to tell them what to think. Some of my students won't even Google things because they find it easier to just ask me to show them things a million times instead of figuring it out or searching for the answer. Once, I wrote "The curtains are blue" on the board and asked my students to tell me what information they got from the sentence. It took an embarrassingly long time for them to say "the curtains are blue." I'm a college English instructor by the way.
@@elijahishere my girlfriend is sorta similar and I’m amazed how many times she’ll ask me a question because I know the answer, but she’ll ignore that I know the answer because I googled it right there in front of her and won’t look anything up herself.
On the Minecraft section, women do not owe men to look conventionally attractive, they are allowed to want to look how they want to look and not look how *you* want them to look, as well as it being a kids movie! It is a kids movie and he is complaining that the black woman isn’t eye candy.
Plus, can we just see them as people and characters first. Beauty standards feel pretty darn arbitrary. And it bothers me, that it’s what most people care about, with woman. There damn looks. Like the amount of shallow and pathetic. It’s just saddening
I can't decide whether Trevor is the type of person who's never been punched in the face for saying something stupid before or whether he's the type that may've been hit one too many times and isn't functional anymore because of it.

It's a fundamental misunderstanding I've noticed with people like this. They still haven't realized that the sexual revolution freed EVERYBODY from those expectations. It's been over half a century and they're still forcing themselves into restrictive roles that were abandoned and rejected before most of us were born. They're romanticizing confinement.
Expecting "sexy" women from something like minecraft is wild, a game which has a unified blocky aesthetic throughout it's entire environment and characters. Steve (male avatar) and Alex (female avatar) are basically the same besides Alex having thinner arms
WAITWAITWAITWAIT...... Do you mean to tell me that the infamous photo with Kathleen Kennedy and some other women wearing those "The force is female"-shirts, the photo that all those "Star Wars fans" lost their collective s*** about as if she had just personally macheted their wrinklies off, that photo was part of a Nike campaign? Those shirts weren't even about Star Wars? Can someone tell me if that is true?
That was insane to me too. I've been hearing people bitch about that photo for years and even I raised an eyebrow at it when I first saw it years ago but now that I see the full context I am so dumbfounded at how much drama has been caused by a photo that has been repeatedly presented out of context.
Even crazier, Kathleen wasn’t even involved with the campaign. Some fans (the girls with her in the picture) just thought it was a fun slogan that coincidentally related back to Star Wars and gave it to her at an event. ~ Marco Rubio
Wait. Good Male characters are avatars that would be getting laid all the time, because of their looks, and good female characters are actresses he wants to sleep with, and thinks they should sleep with him if he had that previously mentioned male avatar? I didn't think he could be sexist against men and women at the same time. Impressive!
Ironically, you can very much do that. These guys promote very specific gender norms and roles for men just as much as they do women. E.g. expecting men to "be real men", not cry and all that crap. That's really harmful for men. And yet some of them have the gall to shout "mens mental health!" when they themselves contribute to the problem. And they blame "feminists" for it ignoring multiple written academic works about the harmful gendered norms they promote.
That's litterally what sexism is? It's really not hard and happens all the time, hell most of the time "misogynists" also have sexist opinions about men too.
"How come I can do it and you can't?" Because you've had to your whole life. They haven't had to, so they think it's something they deserve being taken away from them.
It makes my skin crawl every time they try to market Miles as anything other than Spider-Man. He's Spider-Man. It also makes for an interesting exploration of how the dual identities function against their civilian identities. It says a lot that they can't make names like Kid Arachnid stick, not just because they're TERRIBLE, but because someone understands that making Miles anything other than Spider-Man is making him less than what he is. Miles Morales IS Spider-Man.
The only reason miles being spider man bugs me is because that means there’s two people with the same title running around in New York. With things like Robin and I believe blue beetle. In the ultimate universe it made sense.
@@josephkeen7224There's isnt more than one Robin at any given time. I believe there's only one blue beetle also, the older one was also a very different character with vastly different abilities.
If John Stewart was created today, people like him would be all over the Internet going "Hal Jordan is Green Lantern. John Stewart is just John Stewart."
And for the female character that gained weight due to trauma, Eve from Invincible literally gained weight as a result of depression. This was a heavily talked about thing amongst Invincible comic fans too.
I love how Birdman is trying so hard to treat him with kid gloves (something I was definitely not expecting him to do), but finds it progressively more difficult as the video goes on.
Man I've been saying for a while that the only reason movies like Alien are accepted by these people is because they were made before those losers had any say about culture, if the "but I'm no man" scene in the lord of the rings had been made today they would call it a DEI girlboss moment. Thanks for spreading this idea further.
And I've seen people try (emphasis on try) to rebuke that claim with "But that's not true, we love the movies now. So it's wrong." No, it's still a valid claim as you had to still watch it when you were young, still had time to get good memories in your head, and still enjoy it before your mind was polluted with the idoits complaining about it.
Well I there are indeed some people today who think that sentence is cringy or a little bit cringy not empowering eventhough it is almost a direct quote from the book.
There’s no way you’re trying to compared modern media to LOTR. Specifically Éowyn to characters like She-Hulk, Captain Marvel, Rey and so forth. And you’re talking about this whilst looking at a fricken Minecraft Movie trailer. Which looks awful to begin with. Forget hating the woman character, all of them look awful. Just a cheap Jumanji knock-off. Just watch CaseOh’s reaction Yes that "I’m no man" line is a little on the nose, but her character is far more interesting and endearing than anything Marvel has done recently. Also do you think people just hate any girlbosses? You forgetting Arcane? Girlbosses galore and the show is incredible. Tomb raider, Kill Bill, Black Widow, the girl in Logan, Wasp, Gamora, Agent Carter, Literally LOTR has another "girlboss" called Galadriel if you haven’t heard who basically fights off Sauron herself.

Been watching this channel for a while and honestlly, its so refreshing to see someone critique movies who understands not only how to critique a movie, but also the content behind it. For example, i literally wanted to scream in happiness about your point about Thor going through depression. When Endgame came out, so many people thought he was being played for laughs and i just couldnt see it. Maybe because i struggle with my own mental health, but i could instantly see the movie was portraying him as tragic. This once mighty god with chiseled abs has become so broken by his experiences that he no longer cares for himself. He still questions if he is worthy and, when he is, it brings a tear to his eye. Because he thought he was no longer Thor. Its a powerful representation of how mental illness doesn't define us. We are all still worthy, no matter how much weve suffered. Did it fumble the landing sometimes? Sure, i can see argumenta for that. But overall, i never saw it was a comedic role or character
Personally, I'd say the movie does kind of play for laughs how washed up he's become, with there being some jokes at the beginning on how he's basically become a basement dweller who spends all day in the dark playing video games, but it does take the guilt he feels over his mistake very seriously, with his arc of regaining his confidence and rising up from his greatest defeat treated with the seriousness it needed to have.

Sarah had just tried to murder a man who had not yet done anything wrong, because her fear and anger convinced her such destruction was noble and necessary.
@@RictusHolloweye yeah but atleast she was paying Selena Kyle still and not just a completely made up character like the second Batwoman on the TV show...now sometimes new characters can be made in adaptions that becomes popular they spin of in to the actual comics like harley quinn in batman tas and x23 in xmen evolution but they was never main title characters they was new side characters that felt organically heaven in to the storys in a natural way while the season 2 batman didnt feel natural it felt like a lazy and forced orgianl character mse by people who don't read comics because they have been mutiple batgirl/woman in dc comics they coupled of used either of those and i would of been fine with it..atleast there characters like Barbara garden,. Stephany brown and Helena wayne being used I would be fine if she was black or white maybe Helena Wayne was a daughter of batman and catwoman but catwoman like in the Adam west show and the batman was a black woman explaining why his daughter would be black and not white but just creation a hope new character and shelving other characters that already exist seems insulting to the material...I would of disliked the second Batwoman if she was black or white because it was a lazily written character that didn't need to exist to replaced a actual batwomen characters that exist...it's like how catwoman in the Catwoman movie isnt selena kyle it's just a orignal character called patience Phillips...I'm fine with Halle berry playing Selena Kyle in a actual good catwoman movie but making an entire new character made entirely for the movie seems unnecessary.
@@michaelbirkinshaw8523 my guy, yall argue that it's wrong to race swap and just make new characters if you want them to be black/asian/hispanic/not white and when they do that, yall still complain. Lol
He sounds like Cartman from Southpark accusing Tolkien of watching the Black Panther movie because he's black.
Michael Morales was brought up so often that Miles Morbius is probably morbing somewhere away from this dude.
Wow, I’ve finally got to see Old Man yells at cloud 😂😂
Except there are no clouds... He's yelling at a blue sky... while trying to convince everyone else there are clouds what need yelling at.
Not the article that he pulled up the “Force Is Female” pics from literally being an article that says “‘Force Is Female” is NOT about Star Wars” lmaoooooo
This guy probably rates Madame Web very highly because "hot fantasy women". Or maybe really badly because there's no white male hero 😪
“Racism is a form of misandry” LMAO im ngl that shit made me have an audible reaction cuzz surly i didn’t hear that man say some dumb shit like that
Now, a film or any form of media "for kids" shouldn't mean you make it a crap film with terrible dumbed down writing. It should be for anyone to watch and enjoy.
But holy shit I didn't think I'd here someone call for eye candy in a movie based on Minecraft. Holy Dooley.
Watching an old man say "lay pipe" with all the enthusiasm of a toddler being shown the toy that came in the box is... unfortunate.
Birdman...FINISH HIM !
"FLAWLESS VICTORY!
FATALITY!"
What would his finisher be called? The killer shock? Lol
Stop he’s already ded!!!

*BIRDALITY*
@alexfischer7876 omg how did I not think about that one lol perfect alex
Don't you love how he (Trevor) was constantly provided evidence on screen and just completely ignored it by skipping the video or just flat out not listening at all.
I'm not the best listener either, but even I understood the premise of the video with no issues whatsoever
In a way, that guy is right. "Michael Morales" ISN'T Spider-Man. Miles Morales IS Spider-Man.
I'm a man and Jason Momoa was all the "eye candy" I needed in the Minecraft promo... but somehow I doubt the bitter MRA cares much about men like me.
Did bro really look up "The force is female" images and get mad when he got mostly women in the images?
Michael Morales is outrageous 😂
Also me a Black guy has Superior Spider-man, Mayday, and 2099 as favorite Spider-people before Miles
Superior Spider Man is a wild fucking ride and I hate that my first introduction to it was in Disney's Marvel's Spider-Man (fuck that title. Good show, awful name)
I loved the concept of superior, but I was so sad that the writing didn't hold up.
@@CassiusStelaris that the one where doc Oct takes over Peter parkers body? If so that was such a awesome story

Its absolutely hilarious that dude starts judging your video at the start from just the title.. and like most grifters he tries bringing up points you never even mentioned lol... i immediately knew his points were gonna be destroyed lol GET EM BM!!
I found the original video just to look at comments and it's filled with his fans talking ish of course about BM lol the whole "I use to be a fan of his" bs
Timmy Pool style: the earth flat guyz.
*Actually reads article that says it isn't, looking dumb in real time.
TP: so yeah, earth isn't flat guyz. 🛹
damn dude grandpa over here makes me cringe harder than shandy. "future prospects? are you suggesting this guy is an incel????" the leaps and loops in logic this guy makes to come to these weird ass conclusions is unwrinkling my brian.
I just know that dude was SEETHING during the Man vs Bear discourse earlier this year.
Pretty sure every woman would pick the bear over him.
thinking like this at 70 is crazy work.
“The clown emoji is beneath me.” Has got to be the funniest statement I’ve heard this month. 😂
20:50 First, he didn't say "Shut up" and secondly, he wasn't responding to her going on a 'feminist rant'
This guy is a whole bozo.
The idea that no one finds overweight women attractive is such a narrow minded view. There’s a whole community of guys who are into heavy women, so much so that they have terms for different kinds of them.
Someone please revive me…I died at the “(Air)Force is Female” part and haven’t recovered
😂😂💀💀⚰️⚰️🤣🤣💀💀
Starting chest compressions 1,2 1,2 1,2 1,2 lol
Ooof rolled a nat 1 😱 RIP
Man. Every single time that image from the Minecraft trailer comes up all I can think is, "All of the problems I can see with that trailer and THIS is what these people choose to fixate on?" But yeah sure. "It's about bad writing."
Legit saw the title and went “ooh.”
"So REALITY is sexist?"
- man 'analyzing' a movie about a robot assassin from the future
This guy is literraly too much of an incel to give a proper response. It's hillarious.
"This oppressive era that we live in. Oppressive for men."
Dear gods. 🤦♀️😆
No wonder this guy (Trevor) took offense to the word incel, he very likely is one. Nearly every time he opened his mouth it was just more and more stuff, I hear from incels.
It was very clear he has the word "incel" on his mind given that Birdman didn't bring it up.
With the whole miles isn’t Spider-Man I usually point to a interview with Stan Lee saying,
“You know one of the greatest things about Spider-Man’s outfit, his costume? He’s completely covered. So any kid could imagine he’s Spider-Man, because no color of his skin shows. He could be black under that, he could be red, he could be yellow, he could belong to any race.”
There’s more to it but he says that anyone can be Spider-Man, not just Peter Parker.
GOD DAMN AN HOUR AND 20 minutes!!! Let’s go! 🎉🎉🎉
Bro I was so prepared to hit you with the "🤓 um akshually!" About the flash but then I did what anyone should and Google before open my mouth.
I totally forgot about Jay Garrick. Props to you.
I cringed from the micro aggression every time he said “Michael” and not Miles..
Personally, I'd say the movie does kind of play for laughs how washed up he's become, with there being some jokes at the beginning on how he's basically become a basement dweller who spends all day in the dark playing video games, but it does take the guilt he feels over his mistake very seriously, with his arc of regaining his confidence and rising up from his greatest defeat treated with the seriousness it needed to have.
imma just say it. imagine being so racist you call miles "michael" even when the name is in front you.
Exactly. That's an insult to all well known black super heroes like Louis Craig, Mr. Tolerable, Static Shawn, andone of the most well known vampire hunters of all, Cutter
@@DunjeeTime lol but thats not what i meant. like im pretty sure that guy is doing it on purpose because well "we all look alike anyway"
😂😂 Yo "Michael Morales" took me out😂😂😂
So this is what the "Red" video foreshadowed.
I thought Birdman was just going bananas.
Sorry B-Man, I usually watch your videos in full. But I lost it so bad after I heard Michael Morales that I had to get my surgery wounds stitched up again 🤣
Worth it
Why tf is he talking about the sexiness of the characters in the micecraft movie?? “They’re taking what we like and not giving it to us”. He’s talking like this is porn and the goal is to be sexually attractive
This is the only way people like Trevor can "win" any discusion, debtate or argument. They ignore the sunject beign discussed and talk about something else. In as condesecnding a manner as possible.
The next time you expose a grifter, I recommend either that Star Wars girl or Tyrone Magnus. They’re the main “but I have black friends” cards grifters pull, with one being black and one being female, so exposing them would do nothing but favors
Star wars girl said the She Hulk writers made fun of Doomcock bc they're scared of him...
The avg person has no idea who that mofo is. She hulk was mediocre for many reasons, but that "conspiracy" isn't one of them
Bro soon as i started seen Tyrone Magnus start doing that Alt Right Grift i stopped watching his content. Get switched up like the Hodge (🦝) Twins
