because of the high frequency extension on B&W music sounds more open and airy but that kind of affects the vocals which makes siblings and for long listening hours it can be fatiguing against the KEF which has pretty accurate and warmer sound . I guess it comes to ones taste and preference. Matching of the amplifier is also important cause you make the KEF sound dull or B&W sound too bright if you choose the wrong amp. With higher quality amps you can get much better sound out of KEFs they do scale pretty well.
I have these 705 S3s paired with a Marantz Cinema 40, and between the speakers’ brightness and Marantz’s warmth “house-sound”, it makes, to me and my room, a perfect combination
For me, it is B&W,s. I have the Kef LS50 wireless 2,s, and they can't compete with any of my B&W,s. The 2 brands have 2 different types of sound. With the right settings and the right Amps, the B&W,s are just amazing to listen to. Nad M17-V2i Multiple Musical Fidelity Amps. Kimber Cables and Audio Quest Cables.
Of course that BW tweeter is a value. That is a BW 805 D4 talking to you for $3,400 a pair definitely worth every penny. But try listening to some classical with all matching LS50 Metas in a 9 multi channel bed layer. It would sound amazing. The Dire Straits singer is going to bring out B&W diamond tweeter. One of the 8 wonders in the world.
No contest here. B and W clearly. But my kefs on burson audio class A monoblocks are a sight to behold fed through a Vincent tube preamp all fed through a topping dx9 akm 4499EQ chip . Massive bass punch and extended highs. Can give any system a run for the money.
Both systems lack low bass that’s already in recording that easily heard from others.B&M better in treble but lesser in bass so in my humble opinion they are draw
This set up has too many issues , placement , stands ,ISO acoustics, TV reflections , space to wall , space between spkrs . This is far from ideal for a comparison.
Wow - I couldn't recognize Mark Knopfler's voice on LS50 sound sample. Didn't expect that.
My computer speakers absolutely do both of these justice.
B&W

You said it. Very good answer.

@@a.very.special.commenter Can I pair the 706 S3 and the Stereo 70s?
les bw sont incroyables , une scene sonor tres étendue

B&W all the way.

With the right matched set up.
They can all most make any speaker sound 5 times than they should.
Mm. 🤔 The B&Ws do seem best. Better highs. But the B&Ws cost more than twice as much as the KEFs.
Une question ! Un ampli roksan k3 serait-il bien avec les BW ?
705...🎉🎉🎉
B&W 100%
B&W clear winner... where are highs in KEF?
B&W. But this is not a fair comparison. They are not of the same class and price. B&W are 3 times more expensive!
Clear winner: B&W

If you think these are a draw then there's no hope for you.
