I almost cried when she got cut. She wasn't my favorite but I really like her personality and everything she sings, she sings it with emotion and feels the song and I love that aspect about her. I hope she comes back next year!! Don't give up hope Ashthon!
Ashthon is really good. I don't know why America didn't like her?? She has alot of potential. I've been following her on Twitter and it seems like she has some stuff in the works. The person below who made the comment about Paul. He's good, too. Just a different style of music.
So sad she left when she did. She had such an awesome personality and connected to everything she sang. I'll miss seeing her on my screen for the rest of the season.
This song was previously sung on American Idol by my all-time third favorite finalist Vonzell Solomon in season 4. Both Vonzell and Ashthon sung this song equally well. Vonzell did not have a true moment with the song. Simon Cowell critiqued her performance of this song. The first to be eliminated is not necessarily the worst of the top 13. Neither my all-time favorite Jasmine Murray nor Ashthon Jones were the worst of their respective seasons' top 13. They were both romantically challenged.
Ashthon Jones is underrated. She is just as good as everyone else in the top 13, but she is not my favorite of season 10, but Jacob Lusk is. She should have made the top 11 instead of Paul McDonald. My all-time favorite Jasmine Murray, who is also higly underrated, walked in her shoes back in season 8.
Aside from Vonzell Solomon, Jasmine Murray and Lil Rounds can sing this song better than Ashthon Jones can. Vonzell can also sing this song better than Carrie Underwood can.
I wished she had stayed, and Haley had gone. I'm sorry, but that yodeling was not appealing or good IMO. But, Ashthon will have a career, I'm calling it now.

not impressive :/ so-so as a studio rec and complete WRECK during the live performance. only resemblance to Ms.Ross is the hair :/ pity...oh well.
AWFUL song choice. She could've sung Beyonce or something else. I liked her but that's why she was eliminated tonight.
