    I'm waiting on my Pro 600 to arrive. Im 64 and have never owned a stand mixer so I am excited! I'm curious why the model I ordered doesn't come with the black knob on the lift arm like the older models do. I really like the look with the black knob on it. Can those be purchased separately? I also love ice cream and ordered the ice cream maker too so I'm super excited about that! I watched your video earlier today to see how to make it once the mixer arrives and to see what ingredients I needed to have on hand so I would be ready. Hello Tina, I bought this mixer in Guava Glaze and it is a beautiful machine. The design on the other hand is horrid, none of the attachments do anything with ingredients in the bottom of the bowl. It takes over 15 minutes to whip egg whites, bread dough has to be constantly watched and scraped back into the hook. The power is there but the connection is not!! Any solutions?? Or is this just a $500 cabinet ornament. Thank you.

    • @epicuricloud
      @epicuricloud 5 лет назад

      Hi Anita - Guava Glaze is so pretty! Do you have the metal or glass bowl? There is a very simple adjustment that is helpful to do from time to time. (especially after shipping, when the unit can be jostled around a bit) It's called the beater to bowl clearance. There are instructions on how to do in your Use & Care Guide. It's just the turn of a screw. If you don't have the Use & Care Guide, it is also posted here: www.qvc.com/footers/cd/pdf/K48221_Manual.pdf

    How to adjust the mixer to the bowl so it will not touch the bottom while turning.

    • @epicuricloud
      @epicuricloud 4 года назад

      Hi Mr. D. There is a screw located along the back support of the mixer (right behind the bowl when it's in the upper position). You can turn that screw a 1/4 turn in either direction to adjust the beater to bowl clearance. I usually fold a standard letter envelope in half and see if I can just slip it under the beater. (if you have a flex edge beater, the scraper part should be touching the bowl.)

    Can kitchenaid attachments for the artisan line be used on this model? In essence, are they all interchangeable, or does the pro line use special attachments

    • @epicuricloud
      @epicuricloud 3 года назад +1

      It depends if you're talking attachments as in beaters - or attachments as in the ones that plug into the power hub - ie: the pasta rollers. So the beaters are not all interchangeable. The attachments that plug into the Power Hub are all interchangeable! They will work with any model, Any size, Any age mixer.

    I would like to see how to remove the bowl after you've mix your items.

    • @epicuricloud
      @epicuricloud 2 года назад

      Good idea Betty - I should have shown that. You want to lower the bowl. Unhook the beater, but leave it in the bowl. Lift upward on the bowl using the handle - and remove. Then take you beater out.

    Hi there, great video. Could you help me with something? I just opened my stand mixer and the "elevator" is making a lot of noise when i make pizza dough, hears like something loose, each spin is one metal beat. It is very noisy. is it normal?

      Is the bowl locked into the clip in the back?

    • @zenanton4259
      @zenanton4259 3 года назад

      @@epicuricloud Hi there. Yes, the three points are docked. To way i fit was: First the both frontal pins, and the, with both hands, dock the back. The noise comes from the "elevator", that mobile part, not from the bowl. Thanks!
