Pennsylvania is a closed-primary state, so one has to declare a party to vote in a primary, and only in that party's primary. Democrat-leaning voters may make themselves GOP so they can screw with GOP primaries. This was done not only to vote against Trump in 2024, but in the 2023 Senate Primary when Dems decided to vote for Dr Oz to make it easy for Fetterman to win in the general election.
Kabir we don't know what party/candidate he supported. Registering as a party member in Pennsylvania is the only way to vote in that party's primary. The primary determines the nominee. Quite a few democrats registered as republican solely to cast votes against Trump. We don't know a thing yet.

Party registration as an indication of your beliefs has been meaningless for decades as both parties have encouraged their followers to register in the opposing party in order to affect primary voting. This is in states that do not have an open primary - which means you need to be registered with the party in order to vote in their primaries. While it might have started earlier, the first primary shenanigans I remember was in 92 when I was living in CT and Bill Clinton was looking to be a serious threat to President Bush (Sr). CT had just instituted an open primary where you could cross party lines to vote in the opposing party's primary. Lee Atwater was Bush's political guru and as Bush was the sitting President and had no primary challengers to speak of, he urged CT Republicans to vote for Governor Moonbeam (Jerry Brown) of CA. While Brown did win the Democrat primary, as CT doesn't have that many delegates, Clinton went on to win the nomination. Democrats used that as an inspiration to interfere in Republican primaries. In the current election cycle as Biden was the sitting president and had no challengers to speak of, Democrats were urged to register as Republicans and vote for ... Trump. They thought that with all the upcoming lawfare they were waging against Trump, he would be the weakest Republican challenger to Biden. That obviously backfired on the Democrats as the constant drumbeat against Trump in both the media and courts made Trump even more popular and raised him a ton of money. As for the fact that Trump is a "convicted felon" due to a NY jury finding against him? Well, Andrew Cuomo, the former Democrat governor and attorney general of NY, admitted that normally Trump would never have been charged and even the timing was suspect. Of course given that the Democrat Party had forced him out of office, he has no reason to feel any loyalty to Democrats.

His state has closed primary elections which means you can only vote for the people running within the party you are registered with. I think his dad was a registered Libertarian and his mom a registered Democrat so it doesn't seem that there was a strong family preference for political party affiliation. He didn't need to go through security 2nd time because building rooftop was outside secured perimeter. He went through security first time to have access to inner area where rally was being held & used rangefinder to determine distance from rooftop to where President Trump would be standing to calculate exactly where he should position himself for correct angle & determine where counter-snipers were located. He must have checked out building he climbed because he purchased correct size ladder. He couldn't check out where Trump would be standing ahead of time until they erected the stage & by then it had become a secured area & no one was allowed in while they were putting standard security measures in place day before. He had to wait until day of rally to get in to area where stage was. His parents were surprised & didn't seem to understand why he did it & claimed he wasn't interest in politics. They are working with authorities. He had little presence online & seemed to have few if any friends. So far no friends have come forward or else they haven't released that information. He was age 20. He reportedly hated Republicans & President Trump. Judging from date on his voter registration, he must have registered to vote when he turned 18 (about 2 years ago). Most likely his parents took him to register & they may be Republicans & helped him fill out form. He donated to very liberal political action committee that donates money to liberals & democrats.

People register as Republican so they are able to vote in the primary election in those states which have closed primaries - a primary open to registered voters of that party. He really was a Democrat.
Then why do all his classmates/former classmates etc... say he was a hard-core Conservative??? This is wishful thinking on your part. Don't wanna look at "Republikkklans in disarray" I guess.
He didn't take the gun into the rally. He was on a building outside of the event. Also, there has been an issue this election season of Democrats, because they only have one candidate, registering as Republicans to vote against Trump for the Republican party. I don't know how it is in the UK, but in the US you can vote outside of your party. Hell, in 2012 I was so against Mitt Romney, that I voted for Obama. I did the same thing with Bob Dole in 1996. It's not so much that I voted for Clinton or Obama as it was I voted against Dole and Romney. Prior to Trump, it was a case of the lesser of the two evils.
He registered to vote as a Republican, but the FBI showed he donated to several Progressive Left Wing organizations. It's common for an evil doer to claim to be part of the group they are attacking. He was not a Republican, even though he registered as such.
Most 18 year olds don’t know what they are when they register to vote for the first time. He could have put down republican because his dad made the recommendation. I first registered as democrat because my government teacher in school filled out the application for me and checked it because he was democrat.
Mate. He wasn't a republican. He had registered himself as one. People do this for voting reasons. He was clearly a lefty. He even donated to left wing groups and activities.

Yeah, I really wish you'd steer away from American politics. It's shoved down our throats every day and I'd rather watch your reactions to other types of videos. I really do enjoy them.
He donated to a far left, anti-Trump group when he was 17. He turned 18 and was eligible to vote at 18 just before the Pennsylvania primary. The Democratic party was pushing Democrats to vote for Nikki Hayley in states with Open Primaries to stop Trump from running. They were also trying to remove him from the Ballot in several states. Pennsylvania is a CLOSED primary, meaning you could only vote in the primary thar you were registered in. In order to "Primary" Trump, many Democratic groups pushed for Democrats to change party affiliation to Republicans to vote in the Pennsylvania Republican primary. Crooks registered during this time. PS: Pennsylvania is one of 6 "Swing States" that will most likely decide who's the next President.
He was registered Republican going back to Sept 2021, when he first turned 18 years old. How the fuck could he predict to vote, as a gun loving “lefty”, that Nicki Haley was going to run two years later and vote for here so that Trump would not get elected. You people are insane and dangerous for spreading bullshit
He has a right to react to whatever he finds interesting. He isn’t lecturing anyone on what to think about anything. He is simply trying to understand. American politics does affect people of other countries. If you don’t like it, you aren’t obligated to watch. I kind of hate it that his information is coming from CNN, the worst fake news network there is, but the choices are kind of limited. Whichever side of the political aisle you are on, this is an awful thing to happen, and should be acknowledged as such. Thank you!
but did you tho? 2016/2020
Are you going to vote against him?
@Clarkem1 No I didn't. Never did. I went with our Libertarian option at the time
@AndrewSkow1 I'm not voting this time. I'm too busy with work.
Lots of people say they're republican also register themselves as one to commit these acts and give Republicans a bad name! Likewise in the religious sector also!
His father was Republican and also supposedly Libertarian (don’t know which way the switch happen) and his mother Democrat.
He was bullied in school. He was only 20 years old.
They said nobody would be able to do anything on a sloped roof, yet I seen a picture of a couple cops were in a sloped roof.
Derp derp deedle derp.
Boy, someone is working really hard to keep my comment off of here. Just sayin'.😅

The RUclips algorithm is really ridiculous. My comments get deleted all the time.
My comment was deleted too.

Me as well .

He is what we call a RINO: Republican In Name Only
It doesn't take long to look up the history of both parties.
We don't know anything yet. Stop saying he was a Republican. He could just as easily be a Democrat since he donated to a Democrat super pac
We do know something - it's been all over the news - he was a registered republican, they've interviewed family and friends who say he's been a Trump supporter for several years.
@@rockingredpoppy9119 just ignore the other part. Typical.

@@atrumphasmatis6719 solved. You should contact the FBI with that info
I'll be the one to say it. This was an inside job, the kid wasnt a Republican either.
Good reaction, keep it up❤
He didn't take the gun into the rally.
Its pointless to ask why. It serves no purpose. The shooter took that secret to his grave.
Can you react to Trump Speech on Thursday at the RNC.
He registered to vote as a Republican, but the FBI showed he donated to several Progressive Left Wing organizations. It's common for an evil doer to claim to be part of the group they are attacking. He was not a Republican, even though he registered as such.
he donated several years ago then register as a Republican.........he was a Republican (stop the misinformation )
He probably registered Republican to vote against Trump in the primaries. Happens all the time in closed primary states.
Most 18 year olds don’t know what they are when they register to vote for the first time. He could have put down republican because his dad made the recommendation. I first registered as democrat because my government teacher in school filled out the application for me and checked it because he was democrat.
@@yesteryearcolon7878what misinformation? Everything they wrote was correct.

Hi Kabir, l have a feeling, like many other Republicans, that it's high time that the Republican Party gets away from Trump and this MAGA crap!
It must really bother you that Trump and "this MAGA crap" continues to gain support daily. I wonder how much more support that he'll gain by election.
Mate. He wasn't a republican. He had registered himself as one. People do this for voting reasons. He was clearly a lefty. He even donated to left wing groups and activities.
Registered Republican, classmates confirm he and his friends were conservatives and wore MAGA hats, his house had Trump signs in the yard. Your only evidence is he donated to the spammy get out the vote PAC and then immediately unsubscribed from the mailing list. I don't know what else you need to see here.

He registered as a Republican back in September 2021

It was my understanding he made a donation to an org that promotes people to register and vote. Not a donation to the left.
Source for him donating to far left?
It will be helpful for people to cite the source of their information.
@@pamelaellis2291 It's a left wing voter outreach organization. Nobody is trying to get people out to vote, unless they are voting the way they want.
I'm sorry but the premise here is ridiculous. We KNOW what he thought about the man he shot at. This isn't some big mystery here.
Where did he hide the gun?
Kabir. I usually enjoy your content. But not this. Please reconsider these political postings. With deep respect.
Outside of an assassination attempt on a former president and present candidate for president, an innocent citizen was killed, and others were injured. It is horrific.
He is not a Republican.

Thomas Crooks was wearing a 'Demolition Ranch' t-shirt. Demo Ranch is a gun shooting range endlessly praised and promoted by the Fat Electrician. No, I'm not making this up.
