This was an amazing performance another rare video footage of the brothers performing live. I had to come back to revisit this in honor of the passing of Rudolph Isley may he Rise In Power thoughts and prayers and condolences to the Isley Family and to you sister Repunza. The music will live on such a Legendary group.
Merci beaucoup pour ce partage. Cela fait 45 ans que je cherche ce morceau dont j'avais oublié le titre, mais l'air revenait périodiquement dans ma tête. Que Dieu vous bénisse. Encore merci.
Unbelievable that someone was able to get video of this, first time I heard it was somewhere around 1973, on the Isleys Live album. Damn Ernest you a bad man
@@PitchvineTV Born in Cincinnati moved to NY as older teens: By his early teens, Isley was singing regularly with his brothers in church tours and also first appeared on TV on Ted Mack's Amateur Hour. In 1957, 16-year-old Isley and his two elder brothers O'Kelly and Rudy then 19 and 18 moved to New York to pursue a music career. While in New York, Isley and his brothers began recording doo-wop for local labels before landing a major deal with RCA Records in 1959, where the trio wrote and released their debut single "Shout". By the summer of 1959, the Isley family had moved from Cincinnati to a home in Englewood, New Jersey. Jersey’s a funky root & transplant, anyhow. Similarly, the Kool & The Gang bros. were born in Youngstown & moved to Jersey in their early teens.

Although I love the Isley brothers, this is a perfect example of a cover song that should not have changed the style of the song. The message of this song is not being represented here in this Soul context.

The Isley Brothers are the only ones that can do not only CSNY justice but Jimi Hendrix too! Bravo 👌🏾

12:54 Ronald Isley doing a Ray Charles impersonation
camera man should be fired, show us Marvin and chris
I agree, but blame the director and not the camera man, who was only following instructions!
Right
