803.02 Relief from Obstacles
B. If an obstacle physically prevents the player from taking a legal stance behind the marker disc, or from marking a disc above or below the playing surface, the player may mark a new lie on the line of play immediately behind that obstacle.

just for my reference... the disc was against the tree. The marker disc could be put down in front of that? And, would that have given room to put your foot behind the marker but in front of the tree?
@@russwd1 In this instance, the disc was leaning against the tree on edge. You wouldn't be allowed to lay the disc down to mark the front edge, you would just mark the edge where it is. That means you might gain less than an inch by marking and wouldn't have enough space to get a foot behind the disc.

"Seems windy"..... Now THAT is the kind of astute observation that must have led to Kat getting another Top 5 result in the tourney. Watching Kat on Skins or something like this is always good for a laugh. Also, watching Sarah's dog just take off when Kat threw her 2nd on 1 was great, love seeing animals having some fun.
