SotN - Infinity Glitch (console version)

- This glitch is much easier to do on emulator, but this is the only confirmed method if you are playing on a PS1 or PS2 console.
Start the wolf run where it is shown and try to only kill one or 2 of the first 2 Frozen Shades, leave the last 2 alive. Back-dash quickly to them and get hit by the one that I get hit by...it doesn't matter if the other one hits you too, just keep going towards the one that hits me. This will trigger the "slow-down" glitch. DO NOT use any transformations in the Frozen Shade room after getting the slow-down glitch.
Make your way back to the starting room and turn to wolf. Start another run exactly where I start and try to hit the first 2 Frozen Shades. After a few tries, your Heart number indicator should start blinking rapidly (as seen in the video), this is when you will know the infinity glitch is activated. - Игры
OG VHS recording. Respect.
This game has one of the best soundtracks ever made.
That people still finds glitches in this game is really cool, I always look at these kinds of videos becaus they always remind me of how good this game really is :)
Sério ?
people are still finding them
Not destroying...fully exploring. Our gaming experience does not have to affect your gaming experience.
The slow-down effect only happens in the cavern area. As soon as you leave the area, the slow-down will go away.
It may differ slightly from console to console, but from my experience on a PS1 and PS2, those conditions were required to make the infinity glitch activate.
i finally got what i did to make it trigger,i needed to hit the first one from left to right and then the second on the ice passage(and this time hearts didnt blink when it occurred, but infinity was on...) to make the blue-nonfrost-alucard slowdown happen
this game never ceases to amaze me...
It's also really cool that you rated and commented on this video only 1 hour after I uploaded it!! Thanks!
Yes, it was recently determined that there is 2 levels to the infinity glitch. If you get the level without blinking hearts and then continue a Richter file, you can activate a special mode that allows you to exit the castle keep. With blinking hearts, and continuing a Richter file, you open up the wall in the right lake area.
Open up the wall???
@@faisalrafdinal4517 Yes, on Richter mode, the right lake area has a large metal wall halfway thru the room, that only Alucard can open with the boatman, but it will be open for Richter if you do the heart number flashing version of the infinity glitch on an alucard file, and then load up a Richter game file
@@outofthegamer is the lake are underground lake?
@faisalrafdinal4517 yes, what else could it possibly be???
@@outofthegamer I thought it was the lake outside of the castle. Thanks for the info man
amazing! lol..
wait, by that percentage you mean...legit way or in any way (glitching maps) ? not the full map as long as it's 20x.x%?
It does not work on the xbox360 version but you can do part of the glitch to trigger special mode in a Richter file. Do what is shown in the video for the first 30-35 seconds, and then turn to bat. If the game hangs for a while then do a soft reset and load a Richter file. As Richter, go to the top of the secret staircase in the castle keep, where you can only see your feet. Then do a regular jump straight up, as high as you can. When you land you will go thru the floor and end up outside.
I'm having trouble finding the keys for the doors and getting out of the Brodie Castle can anybody help me
No, this won't work on PS3 but you can do a very similar glitch with Alucard that will activate Richter Special mode and allow you to get extra rooms with Richter. Search for the video titled: "Richter Special Mode Method"
As for infinite items on PS1, only in the RC caverns and a small part of the IC catacombs (past the spikes).
It only works on the PS1 version of the game, while being played on a PS1, PS2 or emulator program.
thanks,i will try it like that as soon as possible
Hiya there! A few bits of info and a question. It took me a few tries to get it down but I experimented with just starting from the ferryman, letting him go, then dashing back into either of the first two shades I come in contact with. Either one started the slow-down. Then on the second wolf run, with each attempt, there would be a random number of any of the four Shades. I ended up killing the first and third Shade (the second did not appear) and the glitch activated to my surprise. I'm not sure what I'm actually contributing here, just sharing my strange findings. I am utterly fascinated by this game and its insides and workings! Thanks for this very strange glitch.
Question! Does this glitch continue into other areas outside of the caverns? Considering I got it to work by botching every step shown above after quite some time, I don't want to test my luck having to do it again. So for now I'm just not going to touch this paused rom (OpenEmu does not save state T,T)
lmao i just got this video recommended to me
The algorithm makes no sense, out of my 50+ video, this has the 3rd highest number of views, and probably the most comments. Most of my better videos have maybe 10% of the number of views as this video.
@@outofthegamer damn bro
Does this work on the XBOX 360 version?
Also, does this only work with items you haven't collected yet? Do you have to have not explored the caverns for this to work?
Forgot to ask, but does this just reset areas in the caverns, or the whole or most of the game? Just curious as well. ^^
I think the PS3 doesn't like me trying it much due to freezing/crashing the game. XD Kinda sucks in one way as well though. T_T Oh well. XD A reason to bring and dust off the old PS1 I guess, or play it in PS2. XD
Sometimes the 2nd wolf run takes multiple attempts before the heart number starts flashing. During this recording it took 3 to 4 attempts, so I edited the video to just show the successful attempt.
Época mágica. 8.16 .32 bits onde jogos eram de fato jogos .não esses filmes interativos atuais dlcs infinitas lixo.
é a verdade
ah thanks, and it works.
i dunno if im doing something wrong but it didnt work for me,the slowdown never happened
im playing on emurayden psx emulator v2.2
im on lv 51 with 203.5% of map
no familiar
and i had equipped 2 crissaegrims,dragon helmet,walk armor,josephs cloak and 2 ring of vardas
what im doing wrong???
You are not doing anything wrong, and it does not matter what you have equipped.
With the percentage you have, it should work, but on an emulator, you don't need to get the slow-down glitch first -- just watch for the different freeze animation when you touch the frozen shades. If you turn blue insted of getting covered in ice, then the infinity glitch should be activated.
201.2% is the lowest percentage you can have and still make the glitch work. The only way to get 201.2% or higher is to glitch.
it worked!
thanks a bunch man,but theres something bugging me,i actually got lv66 and some more% left somewhere i forgot to go and i had 204.2% when i tried it,and THEN when i backdashed to the ice girl it slowed down a bit for a second(exactly when the non frost blue alucard animation happened) and it turned all glitchy and heart started to blink like in this vid, and got it on the very first try, maybe some more%
or lv had to do???
the hearts didnt blink for mine, but the glitch still worked on the ps2
i downloaded sotn from playstation network and am playing it on psp the 255 jewel ?glitch works and so dose going into walls will this work to?
Wow, I wonder if the Slow-Down Glitch has more aplications?
Hm, do you know if this glitch works on PSP version of SotN as well?
I love this game
But
WHY THIS 14YO VIDEO RECOMMENDED TO ME lol
Will this work if I am playing this on a PS3?
???????????
