Exactly! I went to Cosmetology College after High School, and did Hairstyling for 25+ year's, as well as learned how to do finance/accounting along the way... which helped me move into something else that I really loved. I finally went to Community College year's later for 3 years. So I had a full life until I became disabled, and now live off the money that I made over the year's. No regrets here.... 😊 I know that you will be successful in whatever you do Nevaeh, because you are a really smart young lady, and you have really good parents that are looking out for you. Plus God will give you direction as well okay 👍
I love your natural curls. As an hairdresser from the past your hair looks so much healthier in its natural state. I don't want to sound mean you are beautiful with both straight hair and curly hair but the natural curls make you look younger, healthier, and refreshed.
Nevaeh you are wise beyond your years. You seem to be a deep thinker with so much maturity. I admire your strength in being able to stick up for your beliefs.
I love your beautiful curly hair. I wear my natural curly hair everyday, I stopped trying to change it and just let it be. Letting kids move on is hard but your children are all good, smart kids. They will do well. I have an RN, a Phlebotomist (who used to be an F16 Electrician), and my son is a Heavy Deisel Mechanic. They have all done well, and I'm so happy with them (all married with kids). It's good you have an apartment for your children to transition to adulthood smoothly...it will be very helpful. ❤❤❤❤❤❤ Have a wonderful day..ladies. 🌿🌷

My husband and I owned a plumbing company and my second to the youngest son got a scholarship for engineering to Kansas State University. My husband and I talked him into quitting school and joining us in the plumbing company. I think something along the lines of 10% use their college degrees and then come out of college owing upwards of $50,000 before starting as an adult. College certainly is not what it used to be. Also, when you think about what they’re teaching our young minds… It’s frightening. Funny story: the same son came home from his second semester in college and said, “mom, do you know that desk you’re sitting at is there only because you perceive it’s there? So I asked him, so you mean if I take the leg off of this desk and hit you upside the head with it, the lump on your head will only be there because you perceive it’s there? 😂😂😂 The trades are where it’s at. You will always have a job. This same son eventually purchased our plumbing company and is doing very well.
So true. It is frightening unless you are a very strong person. My oldest daughter at least had a way to pay off the $150,000 after medical school. Being a doctor helps! A long road...from Kindergarten to having her first job it was over 22 years of schooling!!!!!!!!
Melissa, you and Jeremy have given your children a good foundation that they will carry along with them always. They grow up and learn that Adulting is HARD! Just because Neveah is turning 18 doesn't mean she no longer needs you, she's a smart young lady and knows that her parents will always be there with the wisdom and advise she needs. Yes, we loosen the reigns and give them space as they become adults, but we've done the growing up thing and found it wasn't the piece of cake we thought it would be as kids. As long as you have instilled an open dialog about any and everything, she will come to you. Some days, she will need to feel independent and others she will crave that comfort that only parents can give. She will fly away one day and you will worry, but she is your daughter, made from the same cloth with the same values. After all, where did she learn how to be gracious, kind, helpful, loving, understanding.... you and her Dad. Always always always give your fears to God and pray as you've never done in your life! Nevaeh, Sweetheart, NEVER hesitate to be upfront and honest with your parents when you feel overwhelmed and afraid of whatever you are up against. Honey, life ain't no joke and it's not easy finding your way. But you will and you will be so amazing! Always remember who gave you life and never forget the teaching they gave you. Be true to God and your life will follow the path it should be. Let God lead you and don't forget to bring mom and dad along for the good stuff. Give God the hard stuff, He will walk you through it. I love this family so much and have been watching you since you moved to Idaho. Not everyone has a family like yours. I will be praying for you all as your children grow and life begins to feel differently.
It's clear her hair is natural! Melissa looks gorgeous with her natural hair. I think it's wonderful that you two chose not to put her in that community. I was approved several times over my son and daughter when they were little. Gerber was one of them but I couldn't do it. I worried that I wasn't giving them the opportunity but my heart said No, I had to protect them because they literally looked at my children like a possession or commodity. One thing I've noticed is that Neva has a good sense of 'Self' and discernment. Neva is not crazy over TS but wise!
I simply adored the mother, daughter video. We are so caught up in our own lives and forget to see where our kids are at. Your daughter is absolutely intelligent and of course she can sing.❤
I had to stop and make a comment before I watched the whole video… Melissa, you are gorgeous with curly hair, and Nevaeh is just as beautiful! I am in shock that there are people out there making what seems to be racist comments about your natural curls! I am part Italian, and also have kinky hair when I don’t blow and straighten it.. but the problem with my curls is that some of it is hidden by the top layer of my hair, which doesn’t want to curl because of years of highlights/color and ironing it🤣 I also favor my straightened hair :) I really enjoyed this conversation- it’s so neat to see a mom and daughter get along so well- I can see the love and respect. God bless you!💖🥰
@@daphcameron6534 😅 as a kid with long hair I used zero protection… just laid my hair on the ironing board and ironed it 🤣 only for special occasions- that was in the late 60’s!
I entered my in a picture contest when she was a baby, I made all kinds of these cute outfits and had her all fixed up for her appointment here in our town! She was so cute barely a year old She sat there getting her picture taken like she was a professional. They couldn't believe how she did there at the studio!!! She won the contest!! We were so happy!!!! Then they said take her to Hollywood!!! When they said that , I did not like the feeling, I was getting!! They were from Hollywood, I told them no, My family is not going to Hollywood, and ruin my family!!! We are so glad we did not go there!!!! Because from what I have heard so far, it might have not turned out well!!!! Be smart and I know you well, tell her it is a very bad idea, and she well find out a lot soon!!!! That you are right!!!!!!! Love watching every one of your Videos. I just don't comment very much!!!!! Love your family very much!!!!!!!
Melissa and Nevaeh your honesty and heartfelt conversation is spot on and timely! I am one viewer that has always enjoyed Nevaeh’s singing gift and wished she had continued singing YT intro and filler. Between piano, guitar and vocals she could have a NICE gig there!
Melissa and Neveah you both have amazing Hair and The decision to keep her from Hollywood is a huge choice for all the good reason!! That part of California has been a big disappointment over the years and the pure truth about it is really starting to make its way into the world of Reality!! A great topic and the way you both handled this discussion is phenomenal have a Wonderful Wednesday NWOS and the entire Souza Family Melissa and Jeremy, Neveah and Kamani, Kira and Eli and of course Kenji. It is wonderful to see parents that still care so much about their children. Hats off to you and your husband. So much respect, especially in this day and age. Love your programs and hope there will still be lots to come. Respect here from South Africa.
I really enjoyed this conversation! You did the right thing not letting your young child go to Hollywood! It is a very bad place! Too many predators! I think young adults should still listen to their parents who have their best interest at heart and who have more wisdom at this time. If you ever go and visit there, protect your drink! I thought of all the same names you mentioned whose lives have been adversely affected by working there way too young. I remember Amanda Bynes as a young teenager saying that she would never go crazy like so-and-so... And then she was way worse!
I always had naturally curly hair, however, after chemo my hair is no longer curly. I miss it. As a kid in the early 50s, my mother was approached also. Too many things have happened in Hollywood that negatively affected these young kids. Chicago has issues also. You have to be alert.
College days were the most amazing and enlightening for me…so many amazing professors, courses, reading, events. No regrets here. If I still lived in the US these days, I would study abroad much more cheaply. Tuitions in America are just beyond the means of most. I think it obviously depends what you want to do. My kids are engineers, urban designers, and upper level managers. Gotta have a Masters to do those jobs….some young people have a vocation….to become a nurse, doctor , teacher or scientist. Some kids are very uncertain about future careers. Community college can be a great way to discover possibilities and oneself.
👍 Absolutely wonderful video ❤️. Congrats to Nevaeh on the wonderful job doing her Mom’s hair⭐️. You both are so beautiful both in looks and how your souls shine💫. The Mother Daughter sharing conversations was a joy to listen to. It would be a lot of fun to sit with both of you daily and be able to ask questions (joys, fears, consequences, pros vs cons, how to stay strong and wholesome when there is so much hatred and demonic around the world.) Non of us know all the answers, yet I treasure listening. I’m proud of you both and grateful that you share these videos. Keep up the great work❣️🌼🌸🍀. Looking forward to more cooking recipes 😎
I watched a great interview with Donny Osmond, a person that reached the highest point of fame as a teenager, who was asked by Piers Morgan, the interviewer, that if he could , would he do it all over again. His answer was an emphatic 'NO'. He said that if he could go back to playing in the sandbox as a 3 1/2 year old and give up a whole life-time of fame, that would be his choice. And given that his parents kept the sex, alcohol and drugs away from their boys, it gave a deep insight into what child entertainers go through.
Bravo for protecting your daughter! I totally agree with the weird stuff happening....not only in Hollywood....the country, the government..... there are a lot of dark holes to travel down. NEVAHA, you have a good head on your shoulders. Make sure you use it. 😊 stay true to yourself.
Many major companies don't really care what the area of study is for the degree with the exception of technical or scientific areas. They are mostly interested in the fact that you applied yourself and finished what you started. Study what you want and feel good about following through!
❤❤❤❤❤❤ beautiful , love the discussion. Neveah don't be in a rush to leave home, take as long as you need. I will continue to lift you guys up in prayer as these days especially it's much needed. Love you guys Uk
As a woman myself (a 40+ curley girl too)...sending soo much gratitude and love to you both for sharing this journey. This is my fav one this far 🙌🏼 nothing against Jeremy, or the other podcasts, its just sooooo nice to see a mother daughter communicate on all of these topics!!
Fun discussion! I held my breath when you asked Nevaeh if she was a swiftie, and so relieved with her answer. Lol Saw TS in concert when she was country at about 18 yrs old (her, not me, Iwas about 35) and I left no longer liking her because she came across as an egotistical, stuck on herself little princess. I haven't listened to her stuff since then, so crazy (and yet not) to hear the stuff Nevaeh was saying is in her music. Also, love the curls for both of you. Very beautiful. And last, total lol at the age exchange at the end. ❤ Thank for another great episode!
I would never let a doctor take my kid back to be asked questions unless they provided two attorneys, one to protect my child and one to protect my interest to make sure they’re not trying to force the child to say something it doesn’t want to say that isn’t true And it has been proven that you have doctors and other people in authority who will do that.
I spent years trying to straighten my hair. I have no idea where the curls came from. I come from a mixed bag of nationalities. Now I let it curl. And get compliments all the time. You both are gorgeous.
Thanks for sharing; adulting is a scary thing. I have 5 adult children, all married and 13 grandkids ages 27-1 year. It is wonderful but oh so many ups and downs. Sending you hugs ❤❤❤
Great video! You and your daughter are awake and so smart to this wicked industry where others just look past it just to get their children up there at any cost. This channel is totally on the RIGHT side!
Great!!! Navaeh is so wise and thoughtful. She knows what has been happening. I heard about Bohemian Grove more than 10 years from my former pastor's wife. Checked it out and was shocked.

Women, especially, should always be aware of your surroundings. Walk head up on a swivel. People who are aware of their surroundings are not considered for attack by these cowards.
I no longer refer to it as pay day. It’s money transfer day. My employer sends it to me, and I transfer it to everyone else. lol. College is too expensive to go if you don’t have a specific career path that requires it, in mind. Trust me, I have a lot of school debt and I’m a commercial driver (school bus driver/chauffeur/limo driver) and have been for 18 years. 🤷🏼♀️. I wanted to attend trade school in high school, but I was told that I was too smart and college bound and I needed to stay at my regular high school. 🙄. Oh, the aggravation, the self-loathing, and money I could have saved myself!!
So much pressure in this world. I feel that using a God given talent should be used in a way that helps others...sing to benefit a cause, donate some or all of the proceeds. That way others will see your talent, and more avenues will open. I agree with your comments on that there are so many people in the world that take advantage of others. Be very cautious! You're an amazing family! Communication is always the best way towards solving problems...you'll figure it all out as long as you're doing that!😊❤😊❤
What a strong wonderful young lady you’ve raised. This was such a fun episode to watch. Shocked she agreed to be a one on one “guest”, but hope you two get more of these in years to come. Y’all are inspiring. You’re truly a Blessed family. Thank you for posting this one!
Ladies: its taxation by CONFESSION! Instead of receiving a BILL , the IRS waits for you to confess, and file! Simple, yuh? Oh, and your hair(both of you) is gorgeous! Yours as well, mom!
I am mixed, and my hair is kinky curly. My 1 year bio younger sister’s hair is wavy, and my 3 years bio younger sister has nearly bone straight hair. My mom’s sisters and brothers are all Latin/Jewish and they have the same mixture of hair textures, all the brothers have unruly curly hair. My dad side brings in the 8 of the 13 DNA mixtures we have swirling in us, they have everything from bone straight to kinky curly to bone straight, from see through thin and so thick you can’t wrap your fingers around a pony tail. Cultural appropriation is insane and hair is the best example. I needs to stop.

Its just another add on to black lives matter that are being used to divide people.

🤣 love it!!
So true. It is frightening unless you are a very strong person. My oldest daughter at least had a way to pay off the $150,000 after medical school. Being a doctor helps! A long road...from Kindergarten to having her first job it was over 22 years of schooling!!!!!!!!
Genius! mom and Dad I love that
Great reply mom! You are a quick and wise woman! 🤗
🙏❤️🙏
Keep curly hair.
This is a very special child you are raising.
I am part Italian, and also have kinky hair when I don’t blow and straighten it.. but the problem with my curls is that some of it is hidden by the top layer of my hair, which doesn’t want to curl because of years of highlights/color and ironing it🤣 I also favor my straightened hair :)
I really enjoyed this conversation- it’s so neat to see a mom and daughter get along so well- I can see the love and respect. God bless you!💖🥰
I used to put brown paper over my hair & iron to straighten in the 1960s/1970s 😂
@@daphcameron6534 😅 as a kid with long hair I used zero protection… just laid my hair on the ironing board and ironed it 🤣 only for special occasions- that was in the late 60’s!
Loved the Mother-Daughter podcast, it was fun, thank you both !!😊💜
I entered my in a picture contest when she was a baby, I made all kinds of these cute outfits and had her all fixed up for her appointment here in our town! Love your family very much!!!!!!!
love the mother daughter conversation 💖
Melissa your hair looks great I love curls. I have some natural waves but I get perms to keep my hair curly.
From Regina Saskatchewan Canada 🇨🇦 🇨🇦🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🌹💯🙏🏻🥰🥰
It is wonderful to see parents that still care so much about their children. Hats off to you and your husband. So much respect, especially in this day and age. Love your programs and hope there will still be lots to come. Respect here from South Africa.
LOVE y’all’s hair ❤
Mine too. It is still wavy, but it came back in stick straight at first and then after that growth it turned wavy.
That was fun! Thanks, ladies!
This past week I have been having the same thoughts about Ms Swift. Felt it deep in my soul and the thought keeps coming.
Love the curly hair. We all permed our hair in the 50s.
Glad you sheltered her as you did and 🙏🏻prayers for her future!!
I feel you Melissa… I’ve had curly all my life and have straightened it forever. People are ignorant to hair knowledge.
❤❤❤❤❤❤ beautiful , love the discussion. Neveah don't be in a rush to leave home, take as long as you need. I will continue to lift you guys up in prayer as these days especially it's much needed.
Love you guys
Uk
Enjoyed you two....great conversation!
Thank for another great episode!
A very honest conversation. Thank you for sharing a Mom/Daughter experience. Very nice!
A fun day for both of you. Thanks for sharing as usual
This is very nice mother daughter talk and worth listening to. Its enlightening, educational, true to life and no questions held back. Thank you both
Very intuitive young lady!!!! Also, it's interesting that many "stars" are forsaking Hollywood - something to consider!
I would never let a doctor take my kid back to be asked questions unless they provided two attorneys, one to protect my child and one to protect my interest to make sure they’re not trying to force the child to say something it doesn’t want to say that isn’t true And it has been proven that you have doctors and other people in authority who will do that.
Awesome advice 👏
Beautiful! & Beautiful! ❤❤ Best Mother & Daughter session ever! Love the honesty & deserning that you both have. God bless you all!!😊
I spent years trying to straighten my hair.
This was a super fun podcast. You two together are really relaxing to listen to together. And your natural hair looks so beautiful.
Melissa your hair looks gorgeous! So nice to hear the ladies discuss life! ❤ your Beautiful family. Taylor did pop up out of no where. 🙏🙏🙏Blessing’s
Great video! You and your daughter are awake and so smart to this wicked industry where others just look past it just to get their children up there at any cost. This channel is totally on the RIGHT side!
Aloha Melissa & Neveah🌺! Just luvd this sharing with mother & daughter!
I love both your mom’s and your curly hair!
Love your hair in the natural curls!
Great!!! Navaeh is so wise and thoughtful. She knows what has been happening. I heard about Bohemian Grove more than 10 years from my former pastor's wife. Checked it out and was shocked.
You’ve raised a thoughtful and intelligent young woman. Don’t second guess yourself.
Navea, (spelling?) I’m so glad to hear you see through that horrible swift monster. Keep being thoughtful. 😊❤
Such a great discussion! Love the communication and closeness between you two. Another reason why I love all 3 of your channels!
Love the Podcast today! Very Glad Nevaeh is a Very Strong young Woman with her head on straight! Very Mature! Good Job mom for saying NO to Hollywood when she was young. To much very Bad L*** W*** Control Tactics has Always Clouded that industry and Child Actors lives. Soooo Glad you Homeschool your Children . Good Job girl doing Mom's Hair .. looks Fabulous.... Own it Melissa !! Should Always wear it that way! Makes you look younger!!! 😊 Can't wait to see what the Podcast has for Next week! You guys are doing Great Content every time! Love it!
Very fun pod cast. Missed you Jeremy but it's nice to just have the ladies run the show now and then.
You two are Beautiful..your hair is gorgeous on both of you..i wish my hair had some curl
Melissa, I 1000% believe you made the right parental calls.
I like this setting with you both.
This was an adorable stream! The two of you are both fabulous! 🥰🥰🥰
I will never understand how folks can comment (attack) on something personal.
Communication is always the best way towards solving problems...you'll figure it all out as long as you're doing that!😊❤😊❤
"You already have a momager." Great line and sooo true.
Great job Momager and Nevaeh!!! May God continue to bless each one of you!!!
Please need to stop trying own things that don’t belong to them! This person is unhappy with herself and her life choices, so she’s taking it out on you! Pray for her, and basically ignore the ignorance!
Loved this podcast ~ mom / daughter combo was a great vibe! Love the curls!! ❤️
Unfortunately to many kids think that they just want to do online jobs. our economy won't handle it Places will close because of no workers
You made the right decision for 11year old Neveah. As a mum an dad you're both such wholesome awesome parents. Neveah is such a mature well rounded knowledgible young lady, well done mum an dad. I love this mother daughter conversation both so comfortable and easy with each other
Your curly hair is beautiful Melissa!! 😍
Hi melissa and Nevaeh, i'm so proud of you talking about these subjects. It was for a longtime not done. More and more people are waking up (finally🙃). Again thank you for your contribution to make the world a beter place again!
Good morning ladies, U both look beautiful!I love both ur hair! so about the hair, im of Irish/ English descent , and i also have curly hair, i love it!!, so dont let anyone tell u how to were ur hair or who should have curly hair, thats nonsense!!!and others are right "Stay away from Hollywood" Dont go to any party there!!! They are all Demons!! ok that was my sort of rant for the day, lol... thank U for the show today, C yall next time. ❤❤
I love your mom/daughter relationship. It was (still is) the same with my daughter (now 35). Don't worry, you raised her well and it will all work out ❤
Melissa, you look so pretty with your hair curly. It looks so much shinier and healthy.
Hollywood is the last place on the planet I would want my daughter to be. I hope you have thought this through. Hollywood is the quintessential incubator of self-centeredness and ego. Peace be with you all.
Two beautiful women & intelligent too! Enjoy your days ahead…& keep well! 😊🙏🏻
I absolutely love Nevaeh’s hair🙌🏻💖 It suits her perfectly 💖 I love yours curly too💖
A bad idea! Protect your daughter!
Y'all went there and I love it!!!!!!!!!
Melissa! Your hair is gorgeous! It suits you better than the forced look straight hair. God knew what He was doing....💖
Love your hair!
