As of 2017 only 6 States allow use of this type of rifle for big game hunting. In the coming years this will all change as more states become aware of the power of PCP airguns and more people push to allow them for hunting.

While I can't say for certain because I've never eaten it before, I would guess it would have a gamey beef taste.
